We had booked the room at the beginng of March (3 months in advance)and especially asked for a quiet room. Our room was right under the main air conditioning on the roof and therefore we suffered from an unbraeable, constant noise and a tremor which made it unable to sleep (even with earplogs). |

The position of the hotel was good. Being by the river is lovely. The hotel was very over-priced. We paid a lot extra for a river view but the room was very small. Our room was not made up one day, another day they came to do the room at about 4 in the afternoon. Our keycard would not work another day. At breakfast the food was very slow to be replenished. Considering this is supposed to be 4* I was very disappointed in this hotel. |

Hotel is in the best location by the River Douro with excellent rooms, service with very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 am and were able to check in, nothing was too much trouble. |

Pleasant Hotel Ideally situated next to the river close to local restaurants and Port caves. Very clean hotel with nice restaurant, polite staff. |

Fabulous view across Duoro River from room. If you stay at this hotel, you must have a river view. Particularly at night, with the illuminations across the river, it is absolutely spectacular! No room service menu in room. Therefore, we had to ring down for a menu to be brought to the room, then chose, then ring again to order. Very odd, not to mention odd choices for room service food. Also, apparently no laundry service in the hotel. |

Try to stay in a room with 'full river view' : beautiful ! These rooms also have lots of light. One of the most pleasant rooms I stayed in. |

Very good service and excellent breakfast. We loved the view. The only negative point is the parking facilities. There is no private parking but the possibility to park in a public parking nearby. |

The position of the hotel on the river bank and in the Ribeiro district of Porto is fantastic. The tourist sightseeing buses are a 50 metre walk and the river bank provides restaurants and cafes galore. The port houses on the opposite bank of the river are in walking distance too. This hotel is wonderful. |

I have stayed there before. It is a 4 star hotel and lives up to it's standard. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms with great river views and the food is top notch. The one thing that I thought was disapointing, especially for a quality hotel, was the unavailability of early breakfasts, if leaving at an early time. |

la situation, le charme exterieur, la vue. Dommage : pas assez de tables en terrasse. Réception, lobby et couloirs à rénover, car trop ringards.Trop de tapis et de mauvaises odeurs. Fuite d'eau au plafond de la chambre non réparée. |

La situation géographique de l'Hôtel au bord du fleuve est tout à fait exceptionnel. Beaucoup d'éléments réunis pour des visites (taxis, tram, bateaux...etc.) Le service est mauvais En arrivant, aucun emplacement pour descendre ses bagages. Les taxis prennent la place. On annonce un voiturier.Il n'y en avait pas. Vous devez garer vous-même votre voiture en suivant le plan un peu difficile qui vous est fourni à la réception. Idem pour la récupérer. Un petit déjeuner commandé en chambre le premier jour entre 7h30 et 8h00, n'était toujours pas servi à... |

Vi elsker stedets atmosfære, beliggenhed og luksus. Det er lækkert uden at være high tech og (alt for) snobbet. Der var vist tilknyttet noget adgang til pool osv., men det hørte vi ikke noget til. Det kunne godt komme længere frem. Vær sikker på at beskrivelse og aktuel kvalitet hænger sammen OG arbejd så for at internetbestillere ikke bliver en 2. rangs gruppe - det ville være ærgerligt. |
