uncomfortable beds particularly the pillows. Checked into room with no water and not informed that this was the situation. 3 stars - I don't think so

Food range very poor eg for an area with cheap oranges, drink served at breakfast is weak orange cordial !! Supposed hot food was cold or lukewarm. Get new beds and mattresses.

Large spacious rooms on first floor. Staff allowed us to check in at 11:30 am. As rooms were available. Quiet location. Breakfast included in the room rate.

Expensive soft drinks and cordials. Approx. 2 miles from the beach - hotel provides mini bus which is a bonus.

The hotel is a very friendly hotel with a personal touch. The location is quiet, but only a short taxi or bus trip to local towns. A relaxing location.

I stayed one night with my 15 year old son. We had booked two rounds of golf at Vael do Lobo so wanted to stya nearby as we had a car. Hotel Pinhal de Sol is a fine hotel and very suitable for familiae. The value for money was excellent, we hot the twin room plus breakfast for 14.50 euros. but overall a very reasonable and very well priced stay for myself and my son.

Where we were staying in troom 119 was a bit noisy as it has a corridir outside and rooms overhead,

Chef tries hard but the evening meals are 'unusual'

most friendly helpful staff,excellent food with good choices and plenty of it,excellent value for money, good facilities.and free transfers to the towns of Villamoura and Quarteira Beaches/Towns within 10 minutes.Cannot fault 5 Star Service for 3 Star prices.Well recommended

our stay at this Hotel was a relaxing week of fine weather and quietness. the hotel is located in a very quiet area but by no means isolated you can walk to the stunning beach in under 20mins and there are three restuarants within a 10 minute walk. the staff are friendly and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels every day

the shuttle service was a bit patchy

a place to relax. Staff were overall both friendly and helpful.(with a few exceptions) It was clean and tidy..

Too far out, despite a free mini bus, times were limited. The only alternative to use taxis or to hire a car. Staff in restaurant were at times unhelpful and off handed.Food was repetative and not well presented, even for the price.

Very nice hotel, excellent value, very friendly staff

The room that we were given was excellent. Good sized room for our family of 5. Very clean and had much needed air-conditioning and a small fridge.. The pool was lovely and the buffet breakfast and evening meals were of a very good standard. Plenty of choices and something for everyone. Handy shuttle bus service available several times a day to ferry you to and from various places of interest.

Some of the staff seemed a little bit unfriendly, which was a shame, although many of them were very kind and helpful - especially the cleaning staff. Really got very disappointed several times when we all went over to the pool only to find that all sun loungers had towels on... no sign of the occupiers, just towels, even though there were only 3 or 4 people in the pool ! The cost of ice-creams and drinks during the day were very expensive but that's to be expected I suppose.

Very spacious room with vaulted ceiling and patio doors to the balcony that allowed cooling air flow. Curtained off alcove for kids to sleep in. The rooms are arranged on a fairly long two floor building one room and a hallway deep so you may be some distance from reception at one end.The pool and bar / restaurant is on the other side of reception to the rooms but only a few steps away and is secluded from the road or other surrounding fields. The pool was excellent, clean and maintained twice daily, and next to the bar. There are sufficient sunbeds during the day as many guests are out at the beach or nearby slide and splash centre. Breakfast is a busy time and plenty of staff replenishing a good selection.

Free wifi is only available at reception (although there are plenty of chairs and power points available), it would be nice to have free wifi available in the rooms.

I cannot find any faults, especially as I was in a wheel chair

Convenient location for tennis in Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago, central for everything we needed. Good facilities - pool, bar, restaurant. Lovely setting. Would not like to stay on 1st floor (always request ground floor).

Too much noise in corridors - could maybe do with 'please be quiet' notices. Very poor lighting in the room - for reading and makeup etc.

Definately value for money - clean - comfortable - excellent breakfast - friendly staff - one gentleman in particular went the extra mile to speak English and provide us with great information and recomendadtions for a day out - . We had a car so found the "out of town" location very pleasant.

There was a burning smell in the passage when we first arrived, and we were disturbed one night when there were noisy people in the room next door.

Stayed end of May for 3 nights. Quiet at that time and excellent price. Great hotel for the price paid. Room was excellent, with fridge. Older age group staying at that time, very friendly and relaxed. Central for venturing out and about. Would visit again no probs.
