Hotel Ponta Delgada    

The staff very kind and friendly, always ready to answers any questions and ready to better our stay. The hotel location was perfect, minutes walk to the city centre and sea side.

The pool temperature could be better.

-Tv not working. -No refrigirator in the room. - Due to airlines route I had to check out earlier, the staff at reception asked me to call Booking.com to change my reservation I was in a hurry but she insisted to make this call. I did not like that but I have to make the call. After that she allowed me to check out.

The inside pool wasn't warm. The room I was in was not that modern.

The location was perfect to access the main core of Ponta Delgada. The receptionist Claudia was extremely professional and courteous. Our room was cleaned efficiently.

Not very clear that Wi-Fi only available from the 3rd floor & up. We were on the second floor.

Location.

Cleanliness good apart from one particular cleaner. Some facilities in room and hotel did not work. Noisy all night club first night, changed rooms.

Very good location,clean room with balcony,small but nice swimming pool,gym and sauna,friendly staff,good price...There was also wi-fi internet recepton inside the room.There was also enough place for parking in front of the hotel which doesn't cost much.A pretty good soundproof of windows so the noise of airplanes doesn't bother you.

The breakfast could be more diverse but generally was ok.

Everything was good.

It was relatively cheap compared to other hotels.

It was rather rainy during our stay and teh hotel was not offering a lot of facilities. I would only choose it when good weather is pretty much guaranteed e.g. in high season and treat it as a place to sleep.

People at the hotel were very nice and helpful, with all aspects of my stay not only at the hotel but in island in general. Hotel was very clean nice breakfast. Close to everything you can walk to restaurants, stores visit the city.

The room had little space to put your close apart from the closet. It is ok if you stay one or two days, but if you stay longer can be unpleasant.

the hotel is a very good value for money. the quality of food and rooms is typical and fair for a 3* hotel. The staff is very friendly and the room service is excellent. The receptionist advised a nice car rent, that made a competative offer.

the noise from the planes. But we knew that the hotel is close to the airport, so it was our choice.

Old hotel, poor breakfast and the Ponta Delgada looks like after the atomic bomb - the city is empty

Friendly hotel staff. Not too far away from airport. Easy for walking around the city.

It was in a great location. Close to everthing. Staff were very freindly and helpfuly. Clean rooms with a great view.

Would have liked to have a bar fridge in the room to keep cold water.

It appears that the hotel was renovated. The rooms are better. The breakfast a bit better also. Location is very good. Personnel very attentive.

Nice that there is free WiFi service but a pitty it's only in the lobby.

Strange decoration design. The pool looks looks unattendended, uninviting setup .

The room and toilet were very clean and the balcony was sunny, quiet and offered beautiful views. And there were many tv programmes in English as well as English tv channels!

the jacuzzi had too much clorine and the water of the pool could be a bit warmer.

First and foremost the staff was friendly aand very helpful. Secondly the price for the accomodations was outstanding. The room (2 twin bed) was very nice and clean and had great bathroom. Hotel PDL was in a great location just a 4 min walk to the center of everything such as the gates to the ocean and all the shops and historical churches. I will absolutely stay there again and recommend this hotel to everyone

The only thing we were not fans of was the O Bacco restuarant. The server was outstanding but the food and the prices were not great.

* Good breakfast * indoor swimming pool and spa (open untill 21.00h), good after a whole day visiting the island or the city Ponta Delgada. * Good location: nearby the airport (but no noise!) and 10 min walk to the city-center

*The swimming pool is indoor, good when it's bad weather, but there are only 5 sunbeds on the mini-terrace, * so if you want a sun&swim holiday, don't go there!

I found the Hotel Ponta Delgada to be good value for the money. It is well located and within walking distance of all the main sites in the city. The staff were very helpful, professional and pleasant. My flight arrrived very early and I was allowed to check in early with no extra fee. On my last day they also let me store my luggage for a few hours while I enjoyed my last meal in the city. The pool, sauna and gym were well maintained and nice to enjoy at the end of a day of sight-seeing.I would stay here again should I return to Ponta Delgada.
