Porto Bay Falesia  

The hotel was excellent and we could not fault our stay.

Facilities, spaciousness, gardens and retreats within the gardens, location, room size, breakfasts were delicious,

No tap to my bath so needed to fill up bath with shower head. we were charged for the milk we used for our tea in the room which again I thought was unnecessary but apart from these very very minor complaints everything was fabulous -

The outstanding plus was the attitude of the staff.Not only was nothing too much trouble but they went out of their way to make friends. The breakfasts were excellent,there was a range of dishes that must have catered for every taste.The same applied to the themed dinner buffet. The hotel was quiet even though it was full.

We were unfortunate to get a room on the garden side which was dark and we upgraded to a Junior suite on the first floor also with a garden view.This is a misnomer as it should be called a 'tree view'.The cypresses or others grow right up to the balcony to the extent that the room next to 119 must be almost devoid of sunlight.These need to be cut down or the rooms downgraded.We had requested a sea view at the time of booking which was not guaranteed.Our daughter,however,who booked later but came with us was given a sea view.The deciding factor I think being that she paid in advance,thus creating a contract.I would advise anyone to do this to avoid the disappointment on arrival.

The hotel was excellent, great facilities and friendly staff. There are 132 steps to the most beautiful beach although the hotel pool and gardens were so nice, you could stay here without visting the beach if steps are an issue. Loads of seating areas for reading and relaxing. The village was quiet when we visited, not peak season, but still a number of resturants open....lovely fresh fish. The food in the hotel was great, plenty of choice for breakfast and we tried the buffet one evening and the italien restaurant another....again both great. I will definetly return to this hotel, hopefully in the near future.

Not an issue for us but it is in a quiet location so might not suit everyone. Bus stop close by and we travelled to Albufeira for €2.20.

Its our 4th stay in this hotel and we would always go back! The location is excellent and the fews are incredible. We would recommend a sea view room, as it's worth the extra money. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Soon we will be back!!!

We went with friends for a couple of days pampering, and were not disappointed. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. All of the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotlessly clean, including outside areas, and the food was fantastic. We have already recommended the hotel to friends and family, and will definitely go there again.

Porto Bay Falesia is located right off the beach in Algarve, Portugal. The beach is magnificent. The hotel has wonderful grounds that are amazing to look at. This is a very relaxing hotel.

Our room was a little out dated. The ceiling in room #403 in the small hallway needs to be repaired. Also, the main dining room for breakfast needs to be updated.

Every thing was perfect. Amazing food. Incredible breakfast buffet. Happy hour every night with half price drinks (which are already bargain priced). Bartenders Manuel and Orlando are super. Hotel is clean, view is stunning, lots of great places to walk. TIP: The hotel is hard to find. Get off the a22 highway and take the 125N. then, watch for the signs for Olthos Agua, the hotel is up the hill. The hotel is professional, wonderful maids and front desk. We the dinner buffet and at the Italian restaurant and both were delicious. Thanks Porto Bay for a great stay.

Very exspencive €65 for gala buffet not gala dinner as advertise, more less the same buffet each night. I booked a superior room as my wife is in a wheelchair for which I paid extra but did not exspect a room at the front of the hotel with no sunshine all day and over looking a car park. I would not stay at this hotel again like many others I spoke to around the pool
