From the moment we arrived we knew we were staying in a special place. The welcome from the staff and the beautiful building were memorable. The atmosphere is relaxing and luxurious. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. I would commend all the staff who were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay, would recommend to anyone and would love to return.

Very interesting building, but in need of TLC. Location in centre of town, peaceful rooms and pleasant pool area.. Very much in need of refurbishment, walls need repainting, plastering in places. Government need to spend far more money on staffing and general upkeep to maintain this building as it should be ( though I realise financial situation at present).

We close Pousada Beja as our base for our 7 night family holiday to the Alentejo region. Ideally located in the centre of this peaceful historic town with well laid out gardens and a refreshing fresh water swimming pool. Hotel staff were efficient, courteous and knowledgable and the standards of room servicing.cleanliness were very high. The traditional construction and sympathetic conversion of this historic building means that bedrooms remain cool but also benefit from air con and good showers.

The hotel was in a great location in Beja, the room was lovely, breakfast was good, free hotel parking was very convenient. The pool and gardens are really lovely. The hotel advertises a bar but it isn't permanently staffed and phoning a member of staff to get served took up to 20 minutes.

We (family of three with 10 year old boy) really enjoyed our brief stay at Poussada Beja. The ambience of this spacious, historic building has been well preserved wthout sacrificing comfort and modern facilities. The staff, particularly the lady on reception, were excellent. Beja itself is charming and we would recommend this hotel for a short break to both couples and families.

Lively city centre at walking distance from the hotel. Beautiful building and excellent breakfast buffet. Parking at the hotel. Beds are quite small. Wifi (internet) is limited to 15 minutes free of charge.

An absolutely lovely hotel. The staff spoke English--very helpful. The room was lovely and extremely comfortable. The location was excellent, the sights were all within walking distance. The breakfast was sumptuous. The only disappointment was that I had to pay for WiFi.

Very interesting building. Comfy cleans beds. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Quiet room.Central position within easy walking distance of shops, cafes and museums. Petty pricing of drinking water in room, wi-fi, use of pool table. Room chilly on arrival. There was a general air of neglect about gardens.
