The Resort lies between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, in one of the most beautiful sections of the Algarve. Situated on the edge of Sesmarias village with a backcloth of rolling hills, this newly constructed luxury resort (2001) occupies a pretty wooded valley, which slopes down gently to the Atlantic ocean. Due to this ideal topography, which faces southwest, all of the luxury townhouses and most of the luxury villas have a breathtaking distant sea view. All units are tastefully furnished.

Island Café snack bar and restaurant serves breakfast, light meals and snacks from 09:00 to midnight. Cold drinks are available at the pool.
Fresh bread in the morning (from Monday to Saturday) can be ordered at to reception, where are also available vouchers for the breakfast buffet.

Room information

There is a daily cleaning service, except on Sundays and public holidays. Change of linen is once a week, and change of towels is twice a week (or upon request).

Area information

In Sesmarias, 800 metres from Presa de Moura, you will find the supermarket Alisuper, opening daily during summer season.
After 2 km to the west you reach the beautiful beach, Praia dos Caneiros, with excellent seafood restaurant, Rei das Praias.
The old authentic fishing village Ferragudo you reach after 4 km to the west.

Travel information

From Faro Airport:
By Car:
- Follow the main road.
- After approximately 4 km take the exit to the right in the direction of Lisbon, Portimao and Albufeira.
- Follow the road in the direction of the the A22/IP 1 (name of the highway between the east and west of the Algarve).
- After approximately 11 km, take the highway in the direction of Lisbon, Portimao and Lagos.
- This highway takes you west, passing Loulé, Boliqueime, Vilamoura and Albufeira.
- The highway IP 1 goes north in the direction of Lisbon.
- Stay on in the direction of Lagos.
- After approximately another 20 km, take the exit for Lagoa/ Silves and then follow the signs to Carvoeiro.
- At the 2nd traffic light in Lagoa, turn right in the direction of Carvoeiro.
- After approximately 500 metres, the road to Carvoeiro makes a slight turn to the left, which you do not follow. -
- Instead you take the right lane, in the direction of Sesmarias.
- On the roundabout that follows, you take the 1st road out in the direction of Sesmarias.
- Follow that road, going straight on at the water tower in Sesmarias until you come to the end of the village.
- There the road makes a sharp turn to the right and you will find the entrance of the resort Presa de Moura to your left. Reception is located at the entrance of the main building.
