We had a wonderful time at Quinta de S Jose. The location right on the banks of the Duoro river is superb, views keep you entertained all day long. Sofia & Jose looked after us so well, making us feel right at home. We even got a "behind the scenes tour" of the new winery; fantastic!! And the wine is to be recommended too!!

What a treasure to find. Although the drive in was a bit of an adventure it was more than worth it!! The owners are very attentive and look after your every need and more,....great walks along the river....nice pool area...amazing view...extremely private with a beautiful room and first class linens...... Dinner on the patio of our room overlooking the river and valley was awesome..... Great food too..... Our only complaint was we were committed to our next booking otherwise we would have cancelled and stayed here longer!!! Also we found out you can leave your car for free in the closest town and catch a quick boat to the Quinta..... I think we would do that next time ..... Book here for sure ....you won't regret it!!

Sehr guter Service, schöne Zimmer, schöner Pool, tolle Landschaft, gutes Essen und guter Wein, einmalig schöne Lage, Freundlichkeit des Personals, absolut ruhige Lage am Fluß Die Schnaken am Douro, der lange und aufwändige Anfahrtsweg über Feldwege (ca. 9km und 30 (!) Minuten bis zur nächsten befestigten Strasse), die doch recht teuren Zimmer- und Menupreise im Vergleich zum allgemeinen Niveau in Portugal; keine Alternativen zum Abends Essen gehen, da Anfahrt zu weit und bei Dunkelheit evtl. auch gefährlich durch enge Fahrwege durch die Weinberge tlw. am steilen Abhang entlang.

Un séjour de rêve; une situation remarquable au pied du Douro au milieu des vignes, un hébergement de qualité, une bonne table pour découvrir certaines spécialités locales et surtout des propriétaires charmants et passionnants qui vous font découvrir leur propriété et vins. A préciser cela se mérite les 9 kms de route pittoresque depuis Everdosa! Pour résumer, parfait
