The restaurant was good, the food well prepared and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast was also good. This is not a five star hotel. The lighting in the bathroom was dingy, the internet connections did not work, the tiny tv had only local programmes (none in English) and the remote did not work. Loud disco music went on till 4am !! Hotel said it came from 11kms away in Elvas, nothing to do with them! Avoid Saturday nights here. |

The quiet, the weather, the friendly atmosphere, we enjoyed the walks in the garden and appreciated the pool. The Night Jars in the garden were amazing. |

A lovely location and the rooms and general facilities were excellent as were the staff. I would highly recommend both the hotel and Elvas to other people. The only disappointment was that there was a lack of attention to some details which could have improved the stay, for example the terraces were not swept and there was no water in the pool showers (due to a fault). N.B.Due to no fault on the hotel's the signs from the main Elvas ring road had been removed due to road works. |

the food in the restaurant was quite good. beautiful landscape. the old part of the house is really beautiful. needs some charming works. the conservation of the farm is neglected. needs to take care of the baroque gardens. the new part of the house was not very well succeded because it doesn't feet with the older one. |

Great settings, nice room and large bathroom, it´s an excellant value for money (although they do not deserve their five stars, it´s an excellent Three Stars Plus). Building noise in the morning (construction work of event conservatory in the garden...). Poor road indications to get to the hotel (actually due to road work there was a "no entry" sign posted on the main road. There should be a sign saying "No Entry except access to Barbacena, hotel etc". |

The rural situation and the gardens were very relaxing. The hotel was comfortable and 'quirky' in a nice way, and the furnishings were positively splendid! Our room had lovely views over the gardens. The value for money was exceptional. We had two evening meals -the first was wonderful, really classy cuisine, and the second on the following night was a totally different experience! maybe the B team in the kitchen that night! |

Only the price was good. Breakfast was very bad,location is hard to reach, the safe inside the room was broken, and it is not 5 stars as mentioned in the web site. |
