Family run place and very friendly. Was leaving early the following day so breakfast was brought to my room on a tray the evening before. Recommended restaurant in Tavira was worthy of the recommendation. Free wifi was a bonus. Occasional noise from the nearby railway but nothing serious. It's worth noting that QdoC used to be a farm and the accommodation is rustic but comfortable. I

Tavira is a charming town and Quinta do Caracol captures the atmosphere nicely. It has a relaxed and rural feel. Our room was quite large with a kitchen. Breakfast was very good.

Easy parking, delicious breakfast in front of the fireplace. I was disappointed by the wi-fi coverage as it did not cover the entire hotel as advertised. I had work to do which required internet and had to move to another room twice. In the end I was offered an upstairs apartment which had coverage in an area of the living room, but even there the connection was unstable at times.

Secluded Quinta in town setting. Generously sized room with good equipment for kitchen. Breakfast with freshly squeezed oranges. A ten minute walk into town and further plus a ferry for beach. For beaches a car is handy.

The gardens were very nice and did a good job of screening the surrounding roads and encroaching buildings, giving it the feeling of an oasis. The breakfast was simple but delicious with real fresh squeezed orange juice and some of the best "pasteis de nata" that I have tried (as good as the originals in Belem). The room was simple, following the traditional architecture of the region, but very clean. Pleasant employees and owner. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was mentioned to us that remodeling efforts are ongoing. Unfortunately they hadn't yet gotten to our room (Aurocária), which means that the bathroom is a bit run down. Also the mattresses were a bit squeaky and probably should be replaced.

My friend and I spent two nights in this charming and stylish B&B and we both agreed we could easily have spent the whole week there, just chilling at the pool listening to the birds in the exotic garden. It's an oasis in the middle of the town.

Peaceful place to return to after a night out, beautiful gardens. The rooms were cleaned everyday and they even did the washing up. I thought the pictures of the hotel were a little misleading as they showed a lounge area in some pictures, which there isn't. Though after a couple of days we forgot about this as the room was lovely.

This old farmhouse and buildings which has been converted into individual studio rooms and apartments is fabulous, an oasis on the edge of Tavira. This is not a hotel, it is a B&B with a difference. beautiful gardens, rustic rooms, plenty of space in the garden for guest to find a quiet spot to sunbathe or read a book. a small pool that does its job ( cools you down) you cannot do lengths in it!. Dont be put off if you read any negative remarks about quinta do caracol, if you want traditional accommodation, and a base for the area, this fits the bill. 9.5 out of 10. it loses 0.5 because it is surrounded by drab buildings but you cannot see them, its so beautiful inside you would'nt notice anyway.

Beautiful gardens, lovely traditional portugese style accommodation. It is a small hotel and although close to a main road and railway station it is a haven - so relaxing. It is only a ten minute stroll to a good selection of restaurants. Margarita and her sister who both run the hotel really helpful and their recommendations for restaurants and beaches were excellent. It was all so lovely that we found it hard to tear ourselves away and we ended up spending most of our days chilling out on the sun loungers in the gardens and having a dip in the swimming pool. The self catering facilities meant that we could enjoy coffee, tea and chilled vino and al fresco lunches on our patio.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely b&b. I came with the intention of staying just one night and ended up staying for 4. I came in the middle of winter, so it was nice and quiet - exactly the cozy, relaxing environment I was looking for in the midst of a long journey. They family that runs the place, and their staff, are very kind and helpful. The breakfast each morning is great, you have your own kitchen to make meals if you like, they offer free wifi, town is an easy 10 minute walk away, and Tavira is lovely. This old farmhouse is a hidden gem!

We enjoyed the traditional house and the use of the gardens for sunbathing in an afternoon after a busy morning sightseing It just needs a little paintwork retouching up around the outside
