It was a heaven of peace and wildlife in a built area, very practical with proximity of railway station and supermarket and walking distance to city centre. Very quiet, friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, plenty of shaded areas to read and swimming pool. The apartment had character with all the mod coms you would hope to find. We had a fantastic relaxing stay. |

This hotel is a real gem, a rural quinta with real character located almost in the centre of the historic and charming town of Tavira. The rooms are individual apartments created from traditional algarvean farm cottages located within beautiful gardens which are full of interesting places to sit and relax. The rustic nature of the cottages does rather extend to the plumbing. There is some noise (not serious) from the nearby railway station. Some development appears to be taking place around the outside of the property, which may eventually detract from its ambience. |

Relaxed and friendly ambience in lovely surroundings....traditional Portugese setting. More like a self catering complex rather than a hotel...which was very appealling |

Praise is the outside. This is really fantastic. Beautiful garden to relax. Good breakfast. Interior is poor. Of this we had more clearly expected, given the price. No phone and no Internet. That cannot be nowadays. Photo's on the website does not show that quinta is fully situated between apartment buildings. Many traffic noise |

Highly recommended, and ideally situated - 10 mins walk from the old quarter of Tavira and minutes from the rail station. Staff very courteous and helpful, and whole facility very laid back and relaxing. Complimentary water or drink on arrival as a suggestion. |

The beautiful gardens and tranquil setting. Inside the apartment was quite dark, it didn't have a private patio, and the swimming pool was tiny. |

Habitaciones espaciosas y bien equipadas.

Pedras d'el Rei is located in the heart of Ria Formosa Natural Park, 1km from the Beach Barril. The apartments have a regional style and are surrounded by magnificent green areas and gardens. |
Ideally located in the centre of Tavira, the design of this hotel is based on Arabic style elements, making it an eye-catching retreat from everyday life. |
The complex is located close to Cabanas, a beautiful and typical fishing village on the border of Ria Formosa Natural Reserve. |
Recommended by Alastair Sawday's Special Places to Stay, this restored rural farmhouse is perched on a hilltop, and boasts sweeping views of the coastline. |
