The owners are the best we ever met! very kind and interesting couple.We received very warm treatment. The place is quiet and very relaxing. Good for a trip to marvao and castelo de vide, or just to walk and enjoy from country Portugal and the nature around. Unfortunately we stayed only one night, but we really enjoyed, especially from the conversation with the owners over the lovely breakfast. Pet friendly and very recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay in Quinta Do Marvão. When we arrived, Irene showed us our romantic and confortable room and told us about the history of the quinta. Her husband Jorge is as hospitable as she is. He gave us a lot of advice about the places worth seeing in the environment and the nice restaurants. Finally, the location of Quinta Do Marvão is stunning. We'll never forget the wonderful view we had during our breakfast. We certainly recommend this special place.

Fabulous location, very friendly people and the quinta itself is as authentic as you can get. Want to relax, inside a beautiful natural park at a very interesting price? Look no further. Highly recommended!

Stayed for two nights. Marvellous environment containing unique house, remarkable views, scents, sounds of nature and very friendly hosts. If you're looking for non typical hotel (in a good way), you'll definitely find it in Quinta Do Marvão.

we were in the eco-house: great experience: beautiful view, nice porch, large house with all things you need, nice breakfast brought at your door. The lady of the house is charming and helpful. Soon it will have it's own swimmingpool, then it will be heaven!

Exceeded all expectations, charming helpful owners, provided delicious breakfasts-eg freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, home made jams. But also gave us lots of interesting local information and offered us lifts so we could put our car at the end of a walk etc Property set in stunning countryside, with wonderful walks-full of wildlife of all kinds.

The hosts we absolutely fantastic and the facilities exceeded our expectation. We would like to thank the owners, Irene and George, for their generous welcome and the brilliant stay that we had. The room was beautiful, the view and surroundings were absolutely special, and the willingness of both Irene and George to offer any help they could was amazing. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We loved our stay, thank you!

Wonderful landscape, very hospitable multi-lingual landlord, excellent home-made products for breakfast. Small family business, caring for sustainability of the property and for the environment. As a consequence of the owner's wish to keep things as authentic as possible the house lacks some modern comfort (shaving was difficult with only one light behind your head).

The owners were extremely friendly, the breakfast was amazing. It is not at the centre of marvao but it's great for hiking.

The bathroom was not great to bath our one year old son.

The quinta is situated in an exceptionally scenic location. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable (we slept in both the double and the studio). Very peaceful surroundings with the bonus of farmlife and wildlife at the doorstep. Jorge and Irene ensured that we were very well looked after and were helpful with suggestions of walks and restaurants. A great place for walks as we could walk to Marvao on the old winding Roman paths from the house (and to Castelo de Vide as well). The resident dog, Bobby, and the cats kept our 7 year old son occupied throughout our 4 day stay.

Do local onde fica, que é lindo! Apenas tivemos pena de não conseguir explorar mais, porque fomos pouco tempo...

Quinta excelente para descontrair e relaxar e com quartos acolhedores e confortáveis que nos fazem sentir em casa. Com óptimos locais próximos repletos de história e inserido em plena reserva natural, é o cenário perfeito para fugir ao stress e ter tempo só para nós.

Vista magnifica e muita paz

Localização excelente. Casa muito confortavel e com um design moderno mas bem enquadrado no ambiente. Simpatia e acolhimento dos proprietarios, atentos aos pequenos pormenores e necessidades sem invasão de privacidade. Em resumo excelente.

Прелестное местечко, расположенное среди садов у подножия горы. Тишина, спокойствие, уютный коттедж, замечательные хозяева отеля - создавалось ощущение, что мы приехали в гости к хорошо знакомым и близким нам людям. В качестве дополнительного бонуса Quinta Do Marvao оказался единственным отелем в нашей португальской поездке, который отапливался не кондиционером, а автоматизированной печкой с живым огнем, работающей на экологически чистом древесном топливе - великолепно!!! Когда-нибудь мы вернемся и в Португалию, и в Quinta Do Marvao.
