Beautiful garden, Excellent Pool, Nice terrace & private minigarden with sunbeds, Good service in the spa

Check-in was unfriendly and we had to pay our check upfront. La Perla-service was insufficient for its gourmet-standard. Globe bar was way more expensive than neighbouring bars. Surprisingly our apartement interior was outdated (photos promised otherwise) and we had smelly kitchen cupboards & closet. We were given a discount for the spa but we had to return it at our check-out!? I would thus not recommend the hotel.

The Hotel was completely relaxing, set in beautiful gardens. The sea view from my balcony was breathtaking and I was able to sit on the balcony to watch the sunrise. The Hotel staff were all very friendly, smiley and helpful at all times. The main restaurant 'La Perla' is expensive but the food and service is top-notch and well worth treating yourself! The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very relaxing, there is no rush between courses, which I liked. A wonderful relaxing and peaceful holiday. I feel totally refreshed!

There were a few little ants in the room, but I was able to get rid of them quite easily - it wasn't a problem.

The garden is beautiful, rooms are large and comfortable.

We have vacation for 1 week in this hotel at the end of September. It was chosen by good location and excellent territory of hotel. The standard studio room was according to our expectation (basic room with good price in good hotel), but we used upgrade to spa room and it was absolutely perfect and stay in hotel passed as once second in the heaven. We had a chance to use spa services and had visited La Perla restaurant. Every minute there was excellent.

We loved this hotel for its style of hotel, small chalets type rooms set amongst the most amazing gardens, it was generally always quiet and the pool side setting tranquil. All the rooms are very large with private garden space and/or verandahs. Its location was good, Canico has 2 excellent restaurants as well as the hotel restaurants and each room has its own self-catering facilities which we found very useful. We did a lot of levada walks, and so to prepare own food was brilliant. We loved coming back to the hotel because it was so tranquil. Not so good for young families, children would get bored too quickly, but if you love gardens this is the place to come to. Will definitely go again.

There wasnt anything we didnt like, and a special thanks to Mario the male receptionist who upgraded us to a lovely room with very large verandah and lovely views because I asked to be on a top floor (third) and as we had booked a studio room this would have been on a lower floor, so thankyou Mario!!

Le jardin est une véritable merveille.A La place d'une chambre nous avons eu un grand appartement donnant sur la piscine ,le jardin botanique et plus loin la mer.Le personnel est très agréable.Près de l'hotel on trouve une grande épicerie et deux restaurants très convenables.L'un d'eux ,une churrascaria ,vaut le détour.

Les produits donnés pour la toilette ne sont pas à la hauteur de cet hotel.Dommage! Mais c'est un détail.Tout le reste est vraiment super.

Magnifique établissement. L'architecture s'intègre complètement à l'environnement, dispersant l'habitat dans un vaste jardin luxuriant qui est une curiosité en soi ! Chambres très confortables et spacieuses, accueil professionnel et serviable. A mi-chemin entre Funchal et l'aéroport qui sont à une dizaine de km chacun, c'est un point de départ commode pour toutes les destinations de l'île. Superbe, à recommander.

Le parking (gardé ! bon point) est un peu petit et malcommode, et le fait de demander 2.50€ par nuit est un peu mesquin pour ce niveau d'établissement (mais peut-être est-ce un usage établi dans les hôtels de Madère ? je n'ai pas de points de comparaison). L'ordinateur en libre service au Point Internet pourrait avantageusement être doté d'une version plus récente d'Internet Explorer, celle-ci est antique ! Mais ce sont des défauts mineurs par rapport à tout le reste.

La beautée du jardin

Cadre jardin splendide et très bien entretenu. Calme, vue et chambre studio bien équipée. Amabilité et prévenance du personnel. Possibilité de SPA magnifique (en supplément 17,5 Euros par personne et par jour en février 2012).

Deilig svømmehall ,hyggelig peronal. Synd at bastuen var miks ( menn og kvinner ) Det var et deilig sted. Nyderlig have, med masse forskjellig planter. Fint og vandre rund. Flott Fado musikk.

Ja det var at det var ingen tørke muligheter når du var gjennom våt etteren tur på fjellet. ( støvletten ) ble gjennom våt .
