Gelegen in een dorpje met alle voorzieningen (winkels, restaurants etc.) letterlijk om de hoek. Fantastisch mooi aangelegde tuinen met perfecte rust. Uitstekend Thais restaurant. Prima startpunt voor ontdekking van Madeira en van levada's. |

Wij zaten in één van de appartementen midden in de botanische tuin. We hadden veel ruimte binnen en konden ook lekker buiten zitten. De service in het hotel was ook prima en een verse bakker en vrij grote supermarkt waren om de hoek. Het onbijd scheen erg goed te zijn, maar daar hebben wij geen gebruik van gemaakt omdat we dat wat te duur vonden. Het restaurant ( de a la carte) was redelijk, maar niet fantastisch. De inrichting van de kamer was iets ouderwets. |

Goed hotel met uitstekend en vriendelijk personeel en goede restaurants (keuze uit 3), de kamers zijn royaal van opzet. Goede uitvalsbasis voor het maken van levadawandelingen en trackings. |

Midden in prachtige botanische tuin en, hoewel in het centrum van Conico, heel rustig. Prettige sfeer, dicht bij Funchal (Bus). Je kunt er gemakkelijk een week doorbrengen. |

Hotel en tuin zijn prachtig, zonder meer. De service is erg goed. Daarbij kon ik genieten van een last minute prijs. Omdat ik een studio had, heb ik er wel niet gegeten. Om de hoek is er een kleine winkel, iets verder een grote supermarkt. In dezelfde straat is er een leuk restaurantje met terras. Het wellness center is ook erg aangenaam en de mensen die er werken zijn goed en heel vriendelijk. De bedden vond ik voor mijn gevoel te hard maar dit minpuntje lees ik vaker bij andere gasten en niet alleen in dit hotel. Ook de zonnebedden vond ik niet helemaal comfortabel - ze ogen mooier dan een plastieken versie maar ze voelen ook harder aan. |

The garden is truly amazing. I also loved the location right in the middle of a real village. Shopping, restaurants and cafés are all available without the need for a trip to Funchal. As others have said, the room really needed refurbishment. Oh well, I guess that is why the price I got was such a bargain in the first place. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English, French and German. The botanical garden was absolutely lovely. It also felt as if there was almost no one around. It was great we could book trips to visit the island directly at the hotel and didn't have to look for anything individually, they were well worth it! For me, the drinks were too strong, especially if one was spending the day with kids by the swimming pool. And the water in the swimmng pool was extremely cold. The menu in the restaurants didn't appeal to me, as I would expect something local and lighter instead of Thai or Italian food. I would also expect the rooms to be refurbished soon as although they were clean and comfortable, furniture and deco was quite old. |

The garden is wonderful, the t1 appartment is indeed a little bit old but with full confort and the situation, out of Funchal, very close to an excellent restaurant and a bakery is much appreciated The hardness of the beds |

Very human architecture in harmony with the nature. Very well kept gardens an swimming pool area. Good position for exploring Funchal and the rest of the island. Near Canico centar, with the restaurants and other facilities. Charged parking, and the problems with parking space. Furniture in the appartments is out of date. |

The hotel has a great, wide view over the ocean and a very nice, large garden. The pool area is very pleasant - the place actually has a lot of potential. Both our appartments were uncomfortable, not wellcoming at all: old, outdated, worn-out, unmatched furniture, cold tile floors, very old malfunctioning TV set with only german satelite channels; one of the appartments had an unpleasant, musty smell, as if it had been locked for too long. The beds were far too close to the wide entrance windows, providing little privacy from by-walkers. |

The fact that based on the architecture of the hotel you have the feeling of constantly being in a large botanical garden with great views, no matter where you are on this huge property. The staff is extremely helpful as well. |

Its just a small paradise on earth where almost everything is perfect but Madeira is like that staff highly qualified and super friendly Charging the car park at 2 euros a day I find it to be an insult for a guest that spends a good amount of money at the place,must be eliminated |

Surroundings, view, great pool, very nice room Would like to have had more info at check in about facilities also the kettle in our room was broken the water leaked out from the seal at the bottom of the kettle and burnt my hand when I picked it up to make tea. |

Bel hôtel de charme idéalement situé entre Funchal et l'aéroport. Jardin botanique et vue splendides.Restauration de qualité, mais nous recommandons pour le rapport qualité prix le restaurant Lareira dans le villlage de Caniço, à 300m de l'hôtel. Accès à internet insuffisant. |
