Refuge Hostel

Staff is very nice and it's clean and tidy. Very close to the metro just 3min walking. Nice breakfast.

The stairs..there is no elevator

Excellent staff and service. Hostel was clean and comfortable, in a good location (within walking distance of the city center and right by a metro station), and great value for money.

Water temperature in the shower was sometimes difficult to control. No elevator.

Great place, great and helpful staff, great location! We felt there very good and comfortable. Very cheap, with good breakfast. I totally recommend that place and thank you for our delightful stay!

Really nice rooms, with character and very clean and the staff really helpful and relaxed. Location is perfect, close to a metro station but allowing also to walk to the center of the city. All this in great value for money.

The fact that walls or doors dont prevent the nuisance. There were times when groups of people talking in the next room couldnt let us sleep. Besides that all good.

There were queues to get to bathrooms in the mornings as the hostel was quite full at the moment!

The second time we stayed for two nights and the rooms were on the lower floor. We liked it much less than the upper one. The stove worked ok, the rooms were nice. The location is near the metro station.

On the lower floor the bathroom had a very bad smell and the other bathroom was on the balcony, so it was a bit cold. There were no places to sit on the balcony and no smoking area, which there is on the upper floor. And the worst, there was a child coming with us, and she was bited by some insects at night. I would recommend it though for young people who have tight budget, but not for families with children.

The stuff was very friendly, they let us it erly morning, though check- in is in the afternoon and the next day we left our luggage there, as the flight was in the evening. We lived on the upper floor, the bathroom was ok, kitchen and breakfast also. There was a radiator in the room. Good for the price.

Cold and humid air. The staircase is very narrow, it was very hard to take the luggage up and down.

Great accomodation, great, helpful, friendly staff, just by the metro, so easy transportation although you can walk to the city center also. I really recommend this hostel and would stay there if a go to lisbon again!

Amazing!!!! The owner of Refuge hostel is Pepé, extremely friendly person, who will help you, what to do in the city. We had a problem with parking for Pepé was no problem to help us. Hostel has a great living room, where you can meet another travellers. Pepé visit us at evening and we spoke about Lisbon, Portugal, living conditions and tasted a wine and whiskey with us , how a great evening for us =). We wish you a great time in Refuge hostel, dont hesitate to book this hostel. Good luck at all Pepe!!!!

Simple, Friendly, Fair price.

The owner was extremely helpful and charming, even when we were in a very difficult situation during our trip. The breakfast in the morning is very nice, simple but good, and we got a table made for us on the balcony. The look of the entire hotel is simple with tasteful design.

The breakfast was simple but very good. It had two types of bread, jam, cheese, milk, cornflakes, oranges and freshly made french toast. Also the owner was very friendly and helped us with questions about Lisbon and with planning some activities. We really enjoyed our stay and would defenitely reccommend the Refuge Hostel for a citytrip/holliday to Lisbon.

The Refuge Hostel is on the 4th floor without and elevator. This is not much of a problem, but good to know.

good location, free and fast Wi-Fi internet, very good breakfast (in case of hostels), nicely and stylish furnished rooms (new Ikea furniture), room was booked as room with shared bathroom, but there was 2 bathrooms on the floor (so absolutely no problem), there was also shared (fully equipped) kitchen, we met there really nice neighbors.

for us nothing at all, but some people could mind, that hostel looks like normal residential building (harder to find, but with address no problem), there's no normal reception, you should call receptionist when there's nobody (in the morning and sooner afternoon they're there). Hostel is in 3rd and 4th floor without elevator with narrow stairs.

Great communication with clients, helpfull and kind. The hostel is placed at the center of the town ,very comfortable to get there. Rooms were clean with interesting room design.

I could not fault our stay at the Refuge. The manager was fantastic and so accommodating that he even went down to the shops to provide me with a Gluten Free request as I mentioned I have an allergy when booking our stay. The rooms were designed nicely and very very clean. The cleaners even ironed the bed sheets haha

Was just perfect: nice stuff, well-designed, bright, clear room, two bathrooms (so no need to wait for ages) in the apartment, great equipment (washing machinę etc). And whats the most important - subway station few minutes from the Hostel.
