Location is perfect. Breakfast is reasonably priced, not too much variety but all is fresh and nicely served
Be ware of a very old and worn out rooms. They are tiny, dusty and a bit smelly. Bad sheets are too old. So we did not feel too comfortable to stay in longer then just to sleep in for the night.
The location was quite good, walking distance from the main square and shopping places, in front of a little park. We took breakfast offer just once and it was way better than in restaurants nearby (which were also closed on early hours),so I'd recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There was no wifi in the rooms.
Location- main attractions within walking distance, situated in a nice park Building is stylish Staff is helpful Air condition
The street is noisy Rooms are not so attractive as they are on the main page Room facilities are limited (No minibar, room is small etc.) Tv is the size of a tablet (and at least 20 years old)
Staff were helpful and friendly. Only 4-6 min walk to the train station and main down town area. The breakfast area was a little small sometimes, if all guests ate at the same time, otherwise it was very pleasant.
WiFi in lobby only.
The bed was very hard
We stayed there for a bit more then a week. First of the offered room was too small as for 2 person planning to stay for a bit longer, but we asked reception staff to change it to bigger one and we got it - new room was nicer and more spatial. The reception staff were really nice, polite and willing to answer all our questions. The pros are: - location: in the center, near to metro station, park at the front, great start to the walking tour of the city, - room interior design: room style is very cozy and even charming, - bathroom with window, - nice staff, - cleanliness - clean bathroom equipment, changing towels and making our bed everyday. This hotel was really good choice and we enjoyed it very much.
The pros outweighed the cons, but there were few: - location - at night it is typical city center with all its noises and night life, loud from the cars - just be aware of it. But closing windows is a solution. - the curtains were too narrow, especially in the bathroom, - too small wardrobe, - cleanliness - cleaning the floor in the room during our stay was too superficial, - no free wifi in general, - price is a bit high, but it's all about great location.
Perfect location!! A 3min walk to the metro, 10min to get to the centre, and 15min to get to the old centre. The bed was comfortable. Nice view over the park and quite neighborhood. (except music on Saturdaynight). Good shower. You can pay for breakfast at the hotel, but 1min from the hotel are a lot of breakfastbars.
The window of the bathroom could not be opened. A bit pricey.
Bright and clean room; 24-hour reception; friendly staff; the location of the hotel is great - you can easily walk to the city centre and Bairro Alto from there.... We'd recommend it!
The street in front of the hotel is quite noisy, you can barely sleep with an open window if you are not used to traffic noise.
website gave impression that this was somewhere special, it's not. it's ok, basic, not the cleanest, not the worst, one receptionist guy was o, the other was a bit condescending, room was much smaller than expected with no Clean place to unpack. Bet there are better hotels to be found for the price
The location is perfect and if you are lucky to get a room at the front, you overlook a lovely park in a square. I stayed there for 6 nights and saw I think 5 different reception staff during that time. They were all really nice, polite and willing to answer all my questions.
The first night I had a room at the back and it was very noisy with traffic and the bins being emptied in the middle of the night. I asked to changed rooms and got one at the front and then everything was great!
I booked a room, due to the nice pictures with spacious rooms to the garden. We just got a room on the side street, not quite as large. When I meationed this, they told me, I should have ask for the these rooms... ;-() Now we know.
The location is excellent; it's well connected with public transport and the most sightseeings are within walking distance.
The toilette is a bit small...
hotel is located on a beautiful small park. Staff is very friendly.
price is to high for the value you get: bathroom without window - fan doesn`t work. small and poor equipped room (lights are dark, tv is so old that it would be better to have no one, only one chair). Door is so thin that you can hear everything outside (and probably everthing can be heared outside what happening inside). breakfast is poor - go grab a breakfast in a pastelaria outside to get better coffee, bread, pasteles and fresh juice.
The room with nice flair (old wooden floors, simple furniture) had a small balcony with a great view down to a small park right in front of the hotel. Staff was nice, bathroom newly renovated.
The room we were checked in was really nice and clean. The hotel is close and accessible to a metro station. nice areas around, for 5-10 mins walk.
Right across from a lovely park. Close to everything. Clean. Good breakfast.
Small double beds. Spartan.
Small room, no wifi in room
Location and size of room.
It was exactly as I would have imagined. The breakfast was not great. We went out following the first morning.
clean room fresh colors nice staff could leave our luggage all day when checked out
airco didnt seem to work
The one drawback is that wifi/internet is only available in the lobby. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay - very quiet, friendly, comfortable, with great location.
The air conditioning. We could leave our bags after we had checked out and pick up later.
The room was very basic with little space. The water to toilet cistern was turned off but didn't realise until late at night, and then realised why, when turned on the water the pipes made a very loud screeching/humming noice that must have woke the whole building. Did not get much sleep. Will not stay ever again.
In the middle of all facilities
-cleanliness -nice and friendly staff (good restaurant recommendations) -good location -good value for money
-bed could have been more comfortable
Great location, easy to ge to from the metro and central to the downtown area. We had just arrived in Portugal from the US and this was our first time here, so it was a great spot to get introduced to Lisbon. The front desk folks were very friendly and recommended a great local restaurant for us. Lots of fun just walking around the neighborhood. Great litttle Tapas bar around the block and little breakfast place the other side of the park.
