The location was great!! We were traveling on a budget, so the price was right. The room was clean and the residence was generally clean. The staff was generally pleasant. The wifi connection was good. Overall a good experience.
The location at the third floor and no elevator was not ideal. While the staff was nice, they did not speak any English. We had to pay 2 euro for assistance getting a taxi for 5 am. Our room was not ready when we check in at 1:45pm on our second stay. She was very apologetic and had the room ready within 20 minutes. Some of the other residents were loud at early hours of the morning.
Friendly, helpful staff.
There was a very nice woman who allowed me to take a shower before leaving (even after check-out). I would like to thank her a lot.
The shower (even though shared) did not work, there was no chair in the room, the night lamp did not work, very unnice lady managing the place (no chance to speak any language but PT with her).
Location is fine, it is clean, very basic
Unlike expected, the room did not have balcony, instead there was a small window to inner yard (roof covered), hence no daylight and no fresh air at all. It was constantly over 30 degrees in the room so ventilator was useless in this case. No sound isolation at all. There was smelly trash by the entrance in hotel building all the time.
Very cheap and near the Marques de Pombal metro station. Very good internet speed.
Staff doesn't speak English, it's almost impossible to communicate. No elevator and you have to climb many stairs to get to the 3rd floor! Very dirty bathroom walls infested with fungee that had a terribly bad smell. A bit noisy place to stay.
Double room with en.suite. €23. basic room. No complaints.
Good Location, the bathroom was very good too, with a nice shower. If you just want a bed to sleep it's a good value for the money.
Wi-fi was awful, kept disconnecting all the time; the staff isn't exactly that friendly; and it's on the 3rd floor without elevator and that can be a big deal for a lot of people.
Very convenient to metro, restaurants etc. Extremely clean.
Very noisy. Sound echoed from hallway and other rooms and lots of street noise. Wifi was very bad.
room no. 20
staff (old woman) is a little bit rude, but if you got good mood, so it is funny :-)
The hotel was very dirty and disturbing. I have never spent such a bad day in my life as ı had in this hotel...
3 stairs with no elevator Staff speaks only portuguese Pour sound isolation
Great experience. We were on a budget and were surprised that the room was so spacious. Clean and the ladies very friendly.
If you are elderly or come with heavy luggage just warning that there are three flights of stairs and no elevator.
value for money
Good location, every day room service, clean, 24h reception
First I was shocked when entered a room. It looks like you time traveling back to 1970. If you are not too picky it is good value for money.
Cheap, good location.
The coldness in the room, they left us without blanket and let only the sheets in the room.
20 mins by walk to center.
I liked that we had a lovely balcony that we could smoke on, and that the room was clean enough. You could come in and out when you pleased, and the building was pretty cool too.
Most of the ladies who looked after the place made me feel like i was there uninvited. Also they did not give us a key for the front door so we kept having to call a bell everytime we wanted to come back in, and would have to wait for some time... Also the stairs were a bit annoying but I suppose that's what you get in old buildings on hills!
Location and price
Service, Personal and comfort
No lift access to third level.. Had to carry huge luggage up/down
We had a clean and spacious room (with private bathroom) with a comfortable bed and lots of light. It was cleaned every day. For the little money we paid it was above expectations. The walk to the city centre takes 15-20 minutes down a big shopping street so we did not need to take the subway around the corner.
The only positive thing about the place is that it was cheap.
Staff doesn't speak english, Room is cramped, windows to the inner yard are awfull because they are covered by outer stairs where people go to smoke. I found a cockroach in the bath room. And they require you too leave the key from the room while you're not in the room. DONT GO THERE
Very closed to city center, comfort and cheap
Hotel staffs can not speak english
Good position close to metro station.
Bad odour in the first of the two rooms we stayed in. Clean only superficially. 3 floors without stairs, very unconfortable!
Big rooms, balcony, very clean and comfortable, thick walls and very little street noise. Classy neighborhood, 10 min walk to rossio square.
No elevator. That's europe. That's life.
Surprise to see such a modern set up in such an old building.
Saw sign for downstairs residencia and didn't see the top sign. Walked up and a few times asking people, when a lady suddenly saw it.
