Couldn't find anything wrong really....

Excellent value for money, lovely welcome on arrival and very clean. Location was perfect for exploring the city and also next door to the theatre, we will return for a show and stay at the Escondidinho again. No noise from theatre crowd after about 11.45 P.M. Good continental breakfast with delicious fresh bread.

Just a very, very small niggle - there was no fruit juice with the breakfast.

I like the location so much as it is so close to the pedestrian area of Porto. I liked the staff as well as the price for this kind of the offer.

I didn't like the acoustics! Although we have been at the fourth floor we had a feel that all activities from the street were inside our room. Generally, it is too noisy area as the public garrage and a night bar are from the other side of the street. If you need the rest during the night, don't book the Escondidinho Bed & Breakfast.

Comfortable bed. Excelent location - however, not recomendable for families, due to its prox. To the best bars (and most preferred) in the city.

The room was said to include "continental breakfast", but in fact we only had the basics - coffee, milk, bread (butter, jam, cheese, ham) & cereals. The bedroom had humidity spots in the ceiling. In the morning, we woke up to a bedroom filled with ants! Which were all over the floor, and some clothes left on a chair the previous night. When we complained to the frontdesk - in which seemed to be the owners - we were first asked if the ants hadn't appeared because we had food in our room (!!) and then gave us a series of (bad) excuses for that to have happened (neighbouring buildings and gardens, etc.), instead of just simply apologising for what happened..... We endep up registering a complain on the "ants situation", on a formal complaint book, that is mandatory for all establishments in Portugal to have, and is managed/verified by official institutions. The shower should be replaced, because it was almost impossible to have a proper shower.

Our stay was good for the price, good location just a 5 minute walk to the main square. Patricia, the young lady at reception was exctremely helpfull and very nice to us, spoke perfect english (not much luck with the other staff members).

Hard to communicate with staff members other then Patricia, because they spoke not one word of english. Room was a little bit small.

They need to reduce noise penetration into the rooms facing the street.

Excellent hotel staf and good location.

In a hotel was a ittle problems with electrisity (some of sockets didn't work periodically) and in the room was no wi-fi (internet was only paid in lobby and didn't work at all in the room).Can not leave sweet (any tasty food) because in the room live ants!

Only good thing is the staffs are nice, thats all.

According to the comment I got from the booking.com, I have expected that the room would be noisey. But my room is not noisey at all. Another worst thing is this hotel is very dirty and dim, there is flyers and cockroach in my room. If I know that before, I would definetly not stay there. This is the worst place that I ever stay.

Very centrally located hotel. Although the hotel claims to be 4*, I would not qualify my room as 4*. But the deal was so good (good last minute rate!) that I certainly received value for money.

Location was very good with a pedestrianised shopping, restaurant area literally around the corner. Nearest metro is 5 min walk with direct access to the airport & riverfront is a 15-20 min walk. Staff were all lovely with most speaking some English. My room had been booked as a single but I was given a triple room so had plenty of space. Very quiet at night & in morning. Breakfast was good, basic, continental buffet, tea, coffee, juice, cereal, bread rolls, sliced cheese & meat & available until 10.30. 24 hour reception with a fridge offering reasonably priced drinks- large water 60 cents.

The bed was too firm for me, but this was alleviated by putting a doubled-up blanket under the sheet. The carpet had some water stains,from the bathroom, but the room was well cleaned daily by house-keeping.

O hotel é simples mas simpático e bem localizado. O ambiente não tem luxos mas é limpo e acolhedor. Uma boa opção pelo preço.

En plein centre ville et propre.

Ma chambre était très bruyante, car donnait sur une rue très fréquentée du centre-ville. Mais les chambres ne donnent pas toutes sur la rue.
