Comfortable bed. Excelent location - however, not recomendable for families, due to its prox. To the best bars (and most preferred) in the city. The room was said to include "continental breakfast", but in fact we only had the basics - coffee, milk, bread (butter, jam, cheese, ham) & cereals. The bedroom had humidity spots in the ceiling. In the morning, we woke up to a bedroom filled with ants! Which were all over the floor, and some clothes left on a chair the previous night. When we complained to the frontdesk - in which seemed to be the owners - we were first asked if the ants hadn't appeared because we had food in our room (!!) and then gave us a series of (bad) excuses for that to have happened (neighbouring buildings and gardens, etc.), instead of just simply apologising for what happened..... We endep up registering a complain on the "ants situation", on a formal complaint book, that is mandatory for all establishments in Portugal to have, and is managed/verified by official institutions. The shower should be replaced, because it was almost impossible to have a proper shower.

- We made a reservation for 2 single rooms and we got 2 bigger rooms (3- person and 4-person rooms). That was really nice. - Altough the staff do not speak English (exept for Patricia) they were very nice. - The bathroom and the bed linnen were very clean. We got new towels every day - The day of checkout we could leave the luggage there - In general the hotel looks pretty shabby. Best to bring your own bath slippers (the carpet has many dirty spots) - The sound isolation is VERY POOR. The walls are made of carton and the floors of wood, so you can hear the other people (even when they are not particularly noisy, you are still disturbed). - Next to the hotel is a disco, OUR ADVICE: DO NOT BOOK ON FRIDAY NIGHT, SATURDAY NIGHT OR SUNDAY NIGHT IF YOU WANT ANY SLEEP! The disco only opens at 00.45 and lasts until 05.00-06.00 hrs. The beat is heard everywhere in the hotel. - If you had a noisy experience, make sure you ask for the official complaints book at the reception. If everyone signs the book, the owners will have to invest in better sound isolation!

I like the location so much as it is so close to the pedestrian area of Porto. I liked the staff as well as the price for this kind of the offer. I didn't like the acoustics! Although we have been at the fourth floor we had a feel that all activities from the street were inside our room. Generally, it is too noisy area as the public garrage and a night bar are from the other side of the street. If you need the rest during the night, don't book the Escondidinho Bed & Breakfast.

Great localization and nice price, enough for one night stay. Really poor breakfast!... Too much noise in the street, drunk people yelling in the street for about 2 hours..

Members of staff are very friendly and helpful and I got what I expected from the hotel. I didnt like the fact that the hotel does not offer free wi-fi.

Very clean , closely located to Sao Bento Central Train station. Reception was friendly. The very good value for money You might face a problem when arriving due to the fact that not all staff speaks english, even if they try to help you.

Our stay was good for the price, good location just a 5 minute walk to the main square. Patricia, the young lady at reception was exctremely helpfull and very nice to us, spoke perfect english (not much luck with the other staff members). Hard to communicate with staff members other then Patricia, because they spoke not one word of english. Room was a little bit small.

Nice location for a low price. -Poor breakfast. -All personnel was friendly except for the old lady who thought we were going to leave without paying. -Weak knowledge of English except for the young lady at the desk. -Pictures of the hotel look good, but they are old. Luckily we saw that they are renovating the building.

Location is very central. Regarding the price, the hotel is quite good. Breakfast is really simple. So, if possible I suggest to take the breakfast at one of the numerous coffee shops around which are really good and cheap.

Great location near lots of shops and cafe'S. Very short walk to metro which is brilliant. My room was Oppersit a cool art deco building and overlooked porto's roof tops. Room was slightly on the small side but geat big window's which open. Breakfast wasn't worth it.

Hotel reception is friendly and helpful. Welcoming and nice. Breakfast is alright. Not too diverse but you can always ask one of the lovely ladies to give you toasted bread instead or to make you a hot chocolate. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Location is also good. You're next to the Catarina shopping street. It's a big struggle to climb to the hotel if you come by train from Sao Bento. I guess that's normal for this type of hotel but walls are very thin. Our window wasn't closing and we could hear the busy street outside until 3AM.

The location is perfect! Near Rua Santa Catarina where all shops are located. Close to Majestic cafe and others. São Bento station is about 5-10 minutes walk. The room was clean and big enough; shower was clean also. Noise! It was quite annoying: seagals (yes...), people and cars on the street, and repair of Coliseu do Porto which was right the next door.Breakfast was poor: sandwiches, cornflakes, mikl, tea/coffee. But for this money it's OK.

The price! The hotel is easy to find, being right next to the Coliseu do Porto. The staff are polite. The bath room wasn't very clean. Even though the location is good, the street below is noisy. But it was all right since I had to spend only a night in Porto, before catching a train at São Bento the next morning.

I think its in an excellent location and the staffs are very polite. I didnt like the carpet in the corridor and the wall colours inside the room. Too dark, it doesn`t gives comfortability.

Excellent hotel staf and good location. In a hotel was a ittle problems with electrisity (some of sockets didn't work periodically) and in the room was no wi-fi (internet was only paid in lobby and didn't work at all in the room).Can not leave sweet (any tasty food) because in the room live ants!

It was quite cosy. My room faced the main street and the windows were not too thick so I heard a lot of noise from the street. It was hard to sleep because of that.
