I had a very short stay in Porto. Excellent location to go around and very nice hotels nearby. I did tourist shopping comfortably. The heater and the television need to be made more user friendly! |

If you just need a clean and comfortable place to sleep after a busy day and entertaining evening you cannot beat this hotel for the price. All four of the staff on duty during our stay were extremely helpful and friendly. It is fairly basic but fine as long as you are just interested in exploring the sights and not spending your stay in a hotel! |

Nice location, just a 3 minutes walk from city center. Very friendly staff. Freezer with non-alcoholic drinks and chocolate bars for less than 1 Eur! Opened 24 hours, very cheap very, very old, i think there was no renovation the last 30 years. plaster is crumbling from the wall, my room-door had a shooting-hole and was very insecure, the doorknob nearly felt down. carpet very dirty. it's in the city center and very loud, particularly at weekends, the windows are not low-noise, you can hear anything from the streets. Really bad and simple breakfast (just 1 type of meat and cheese, 1 type of bread, bun and croissant, 2 types of marmelade and butter. orange juice, 2 types of cerals, milk, coffe, tea. that's it. for 25 Euros a night okay, but just for sleeping 1 or 2 nights, not for a long holiday... hint: order much of milk to the coffee, espresso is nothing compared to this coffee ;-) |

The hotel is very well located, which is convenient for tourists. The room could be improved, there are cracks and stains on the wall, with very old furniture. But sadly that's how it goes for most hotels in Oporto. The room is cleaned everyday, there are vending machines by the reception. It can be noisy outside. Very good value for money. No luxuries, but overall good service. |

Good location, spacious room, reasonable breakfast. In the first night there hot water was out in the middle of the shower. Our room was next to a disco and we could hear the music pretty loud. |

Very close to shopping area. Cheap rates. Clean room. 5 Minute walk from metro stations Aliados or Bolhao. Friendly staff. No place to store luggage on day of departure. |

The great location - right next to the Coliseu de Porto, where the Fields of the Nephilim concert I attended took place. Bit of street noise, but hardly the fault of the hotel and hey - it was Saturday night! |

greatest location!!! close to the main downtown shopping artery - Via Catarina and all the main sights, friendly girl at the reception speaking Spanish. They have a lift - didn't have to carry my big suitcase all the way up and down. They had water, drinks and coffee in the lobby at very moderate prices, so even if I forgot to buy water or didn't have time I was never dying of thirst. This hotel is in the Coliseum building - if your room windows overlook the street it's unbearably noisy at times until almost 2-3 а.м. (February). I just wonder whether I would sleep at all were it in the summertime. The water in the shower tub didn't go away well so I sometimes felt it would overflow to the bathroom floor. I also had some problems with a TVset socket one day, but on the next day it was perfectly OK. I just wonder what that could mean. The breakfast was poor (cofee and cheap sandwiches) - anyway what to expect from a budget residence? My hotel in Madrid last summer was not a residence but the breakfast was as poor and I paid 60 euros/night to 22 in this residence. So this one is actually good value for money |

Got the room with a discount for € 22.50 a day; excellent price because it isn't comfortable. Than again, when you only need a place to crash and want your own bathroom it is ideal. It's located between modern shopping and Ribeira, close near everthing you need or want to see. |

Excellent hotel staff, very helpful and friendly, most spoke English. Gave lots of tips what to do and where to eat in the area and not just touristy places. Highly recommend! Unfortunately, they had a computer for guests to use but it was out of function.... Also, breakfast could have been a bit more to choose to but can't really complain as it was included in price. |

Great location, very friendly staff, the room was dated but clean. The hotel was two blocks from a metro stop, so it was easy to get to. Good hotel for the price. Breakfast was terrible. Disco on the ground floor played very loud music until 5 in the morning. |

the hotel has a good location and is next to the coliseo, which might be good to know as a reference when arriving to Porto, and is a 10 minutes walk to the Ribeira(old quarter of Porto). Hotel was clean and ok for the price. i read some reviews saying it was a noisy hotel, dont agree at all! it was just fine! The staff is not bad, but they dont go the extra mile, with this i mean, for example: if u ask for anything like, what transportation takes me to airport and at what time starts running, they won´t be able to answer it or even to check it on internet. I had to go to a cybercafe and checked it by myself while is somethig quite simple to check. also when i asked which where the main attractions to see, receptionist just mentioned the shopping area! (?)Anyway. just details, but staff was not bad I also work in hotels and just think they don´t do their best to help. |
