location was the best- should add info for the aerobus on the web page as it is so close and a great way to get to/from the airport. (wish I had taken it on arrival too) . Will stay here again. Need more than one pillow in the room, and the smallest packet of shower gel I have ever seen. More soap needed! Breakfast was not open at 7am as informed.... did not open till 7:30am

Perfect location as a base for exploring the wonderful city of Lisbon. Aerobus, tram, bus and metro stops all within a short walk. Very helpful reception staff, with advice and information on travel, sights and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet and comfortable rooms with modern bathroom. Ask for a room at the back as the front rooms can be noisy due to the busy pedestrian street.

We stayed twice in May and June. It is a great place to stay. They store luggage between visits, a nice plus. The location in Lisbon is fabulous; three major squares are within an easy stroll. Aerobus to/from airport stops on several of these squares. Hotel is on a walking street with many restaurants. Public transportation is very close to anywhere, even Sintra. Staff was extremely helpful but a bit reserved at first. Upgraded rooms are very nice; others may be too small. If noise is a factor and view is not a factor, ask for a quiet room facing the rear. The included breakfast is quite varied but the same variety each day. It can be crowded in the large breakfast room at peak time.

Great location; steps from all public transportation (metro, buses, trams); walking distance from Chiado and Bairro Alto, where locals and visitors alike go for drinks and/or dinners, at the many bars and restaurants that are open until late. The hotel is not pretentious but comfortable; the bedrooms are not super spacious but adequate with full bathrooms, AC/heating device, and TV set. The personnel is kind and helpful; very good breakfast included. I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone going to Lisbon on vacation or a business trip. No bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. However, I don't think that's enough of a reason not to recommend it.

Nice location Booking not honoured and I was moved to a single room in a much cheaper hotel for the first night, and then had to move back for the second night. Suspect this is not an unusual occurrence. Would not book with them again.

Very nice hotel right in the heart of Lisbon. Most of things are look quite new, room and everything are clean, nice view to the historical building and street. Restaurant is simple, but good cuisine and very very pleasant staff. One of the best choices in the downtown to stay in terms of rate and quality!!! Only two things are to be paid attention to the management of hotel:1) wi-fi is very unstable and didn't work with my 5y.O. Toshiba laptop. The problem was in need to enter not only login and password (that are really free of charge), but first the wi-fi connection asked to enter extra Network security code. The reason was because of the last level of security settings that set for it here. And laptop or another equipment 4-5 Y.O. can be useless, and I their receptionist said have no any IT- specialist to solve the problem. So, was not able to do planned job, used only cell phone to check e-mails. 2) Be ready: the receptionists are a little strange- they are man about 40-45 Y.O., they look tired of their job, they do their job, but they don't do the basic thing - any hospitality(!), smoking right before guests eyes and throw a cigarettes butts to the street, sometimes guests are waiting their personal phone calls endings, or even looking for the receptionist... But hotel is really good, and this is cost to forget about strange receptionists. Will come back for sure!

They let me use their desk computer to print out boarding passes. Departure taxi was right on time. Room was clean and services were good. When I arrived, my first night was with a tour group (Gap Adventure Travel) but I was to stay on 2 more nights. Gap had booked a room with single beds and was unable to change the room to a double bed. But the hotel stated that they could not change us to a room with a double bed the next day. I showed them my confirmation e mail dated January 29 and asked for a room with a double bed as I had originally requested. They asked me to come down in the morning and at that time they did get me a double bed. There was also a little step in the room from the entry to the bedroom that I tripped on countless times.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable. The location was the very best, since it is in the center of all the sights that you would want to see. The breakfast was generous with many choices. The breakfast for guests is served in the hotel's restaurant which is comfortable and attractive with staff that is attentive to your needs. This hotel is a value and the guide books are right on for recommending the Residencial Florascente. We would recommend this hotel to any of our friends. Jim and Mary Higbee, Sacramento, California

Everything was very very good. Location is perfect, breakfast was rather good, rooms are small but comfortable. If I go one more time to Lisbon I will for syre choose this hotel. We had some problems with the Wi-fi connection and it is impossible to leave the car because it is the very historical center of the city and the underground parking is rather expensive.

The stay was great because the receptionists were extremely friendly. It was also great to have such a lovely breakfast and a spacious downstairs area that had free WiFi. Since we were on a working holiday, this was especially important. The location in the downtown area was another great advantage. It made it easy to get around the city.

The hotel is at excellent location near the Rossio Square where you get all the Trains, Metros , city buses and the hop-in-hop-off yellow buses. All the resturants are near by. Only negative for me was the wc in my room was smelling. Otherwise a great choice for location perspective.

Hotel is very central, next to train station, metro, theaters, restaurant, shopping, fairly clean with big bathroom and very reasonable price. I booked for 42 euro/ night with hot breakfast, wifi internet, and taxes included. Tv could be bigger, updated and room could use more space with rack to put luggage suitcase on

The location was perfect, extremely central. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was extremely adequate and the staff in the restaurant in the evening were very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend this friendly comfortable hotel. Being a Brit i do like the facility for tea making in the room, however I do appreciate this is not the norm on the continent. If The Residencial Florescente had tea making facillities it would get my thumbs up by 101%.

I chose it for its location and was more than thrilled to find that it was handy to everything and had an olde world ambience. The staff was unfailingly helpful and pleasant and spoke good English. Furthermore it was very good value in terms of design and comfort with the best breakfast I had had after a longish stay in Spain.
