It's just the city center. Next to train station, which is also good. Room is nice, clean, big bathroom. And definitely really good price for such a hotel. Staff is very helpful.
Room is a little small. But it doesn't really bother. We had problem with aircondition but person from reception immidiately helped us and found a solution.
perfect location and very nice breakfast
Sewer smell in bathroom; plumbing very noisy; no hot water on 2 out of 5 mornings
Breakfast was good, staff helpful price very reasonable, location good
Not the hotels fault and as others have said ask for a room at the back, but it is noisy on the street below if you are on the front
Great location for exploring the city. Excellent breakfast, spacious rooms.
The bed wasn't very comfortable but the sheets were the best! Where can I buy them??
Helpful staff Good breakfast
Busy in mornings, had to queue for dining room.
Location was perfect, staff friendly, and the breakfasts were good.
Nothing,very happy with my choice.
Staff were excellent - brilliant English & very helpful . The location was perfect for my weekend . I was lucky in that my room was at the back of the hotel & was very quiet . I would definitely stay here again .
I would have liked tea-making facilities in my room .
The reception staff are to be complimented. They were very efficient, polite, accomodating and helpful in every way.
Location location location
The bed and room was far too small needs modernising. Lack of toiletries.
Staff were excellent, very helpfull, breakfast was ample...the bonus ...a nespresso machine...argh just like home!! Location perfect for metro city centre a nice short walk
The music being played constantly late afternoon.noisey if in a front room.
Location, cleanness, breakfast. The tables outside of the Residence, very friendly waiters...
The personnel weren't to friendly. They speak little, give no additional information and didn't welcome us. Specially the one who did the check in on October 20,2014 around 2:00 pm.
Perfect location in a pedestrian street, no through traffic. Nice staff, nice rooms, clean and tidy. Good value for money.
The breakfast room is far too small. They keep one small coffee machine for all these guests, which can put anyone off as you have to stand in line even for more hot water for your tea. Must be changed immediately as everyone in the line was complaining. Otherwise nothing bad about the rest.
Good breakfast friendly helpful staff great location near all the attractions, would recommend.
Great location, near everything, easy to find from the metro station! Fab powerful shower!
A little noisy if you have a front facing room and shower didn't drain!
Pleasant staff great breakfast walked around a lot.
The location, very close to the centre of town.
Bit noisy on Saturday night.
Location Hotel Bar
Breakfast was terrible, the room allocated to my friend was a single even though a double had been paid for, after questioning this another room was allocated, this was room 509 and smelled of mould, after several phone calls to the front desk, assurances that no other rooms were available my friend was eventually allocated another room. She then had to move for the second night....Dreadful front of house staff & manners... The walls are also paper thin, my neighbor was watching VH1 early one morning and I could distinctly hear each song.... This hotel is in the middle of renovations, room by room by the looks of it and corridors smell of paint. The corridor floor is also tiled so you can hear people walking all times of day and night. I can't understand the 8.2 rating on Booking.com!!!
The bar staff were very friendly
The front of house staff were ignorant, rude. I arrived with my friend at 7.30, we checked in and were told to come back at 2 when our rooms were ready. We arrived back to find I had been given a single room even though I had paid in advance for a double. When I said it to reception the attitude was too bad I don't have any more rooms. I said I was the first to check in this morning and this was not good enough. They then produced room 509, do not accept this room in reception if they give it to you.(save yourself 5 flights of stairs). The room was dirty, musty had chips gone out of the walls and mould on the walls. I didn't accept it. I had to say in the first room that night and when I went to change the next morning the reception had the cheek to give me room 509 again! The walls in the hotel are paper thin. I rather sleep in a doorway than deal with this hotel again.
If you come to Lisbon among other things for a gig at Coliseu dos Recreios, this hotel is right choice cause it's literally across the narrow street. In pedestrian zone, close to metro and bus stops, restaurants, shopping area, easy to reach other part of the cities. Our room was small but fine for the value of money we paid, after all we only slept there. Breakfast was very good. Nice and helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is wonderful. One can walk everywhere. Furthermore the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I arrived at 2 in the morning and they bent over backwards to make me feel comfortable and welcome. I like coffee and breakfast in my room. They provide breakfast and carried it to my room. The staff was lovely. One can stay in a five star hotel. If the staff is awful - the experience is awful. This experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
I liked everything
Well located for Lisbon walkabout, polite and helpful front desk staff, room clean and spacious.
1 street noise, in particular, the Fado singing being broadcast endlessly from the nearby cabaret. Even double glazing failed to withstand it. 2 hopelessly tardy room make up who didn't get around to doing one's room until late afternoon every day. So you come back to wet towels and unmade beds after an excursion and have to be disturbed when they finally get to it. Hopeless.
The location was perfect. It is right in the heart of town. There was a large lounge with sofas and chairs which was a great meeting place for our group and a convenient place to have drinks before or after going out. Breakfast was included and the variety was good. Also we loved the Nespresso machine.
the location the staff
They clean the rooms very late by 6 pm
Good breakfast, very central location, mostly helpful staff. Room comfortable and clean if a little tired in its decor
