Hotel Grande Rio  

In room 117 and 118 very good beds. Breakfast is perfect and nutricious, space to sit a little bit narrow. Excellent service and advise from Staff. Metro at 300 m. Rooms simple but sufficient furnished. Cafetaria Nelma at ca. 200 m. in de rua De Bonjardin has a simple but very good and affordable kitchen. Best fries ever and one should taste the homemade scamps or the bread with a thick layer of beef topped with cheese. Very good hotel for citytrip or a bit longer, specially for this price. I was with 7 friends but will return with my family.

Very close (3 minute walk or so) to Metro 'Faria Guimaraes' which is one stop to 'Trinidade' Metro which is a main stop to take you anywhere in the City. The staff are very friendly and helpful, giving us a map and answering any questions. The hotel is very clean and very quiet. We had the best sleep ever in a city center hotel. The breakfast was the normal (bread,cheese,meat, cereal, fruit, etc) and great coffee from behind the bar. We would definitely go back again.

It`s very clean, the breakfast is good. The location is usefull. The staff is cindly and helpfull.

The staff at this little hotel were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but at least there was breakfast! That's always nice!

The room itself was quite clean, but we were very put off by the smoke smell in our room. Despite the hotel being a non-smoking hotel, someone had obviously ignored that policy because the room reeked (and so did we after our stay!) The hotel staff were very understanding and tried to switch rooms, but unfortunately they were fully booked so we were stuck. Location is good, 5 minutes from the metro or 15-20 minutes walk downhill (and uphill...) to the water.

I'll start off with the best feature which was breakfast. The best breakfast we had in Portugal. The rooms were a little small and the bathroom was even smaller, but everything was really clean. The hotel is located about a 25 minute walk to the main attraction, but it's an easy walk. The hotel staff are very helpful. Definitely worth staying at if you're looking for good value accommodation.

The service was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was very good with a decent amount of vareity. Rooms are simple but clean. It is a bit of a hike into the main part of the city but it is right next to a metro line.

I like everything about this hotel. The breakfast is great for this type of hotel. The staffs are very helpful (we stored our baggage after we checked out for 4 hours and they didn´t mind) The location is also great (very near to a metro station). I will definitely stay in this hotel if someday i will visit Porto again!

Good value for money, friendly and helpful staff, nice buffet breakfast.

The word which describes this hotel is Perfect. I am always very critical with accomodation, and I notice every tiny mistake, but in here there was not even the tiniest mistake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom was well equiped and nice looking. We got the room on the top so from the balcony we could look over the city. If I were visiting Braga again I would insist on booking my room in this hotel.

Hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help us in any ways. The rich selection of buffet breakfast is definitely worth the value. It is also very close to a metro station and we even walked downhill to the city center in 15mins. My husband and I really enjoyed stay here and would love to come back some day.

Our stay was very comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was good for the price and was cleaned very well every day. The breakfast was good and again service was very helpful. There was a noisy room one night but the staff delt with it very quickly and politely. The hotel is situated above the city center and it was a long climb if you decided to walk back, but the buses and metro were convenient if you preferred. We would definitately stay there again.
