The location is outstanding, just around the corner from the main square. Easy access to the bus station & the promenade along the harbor & quick access to the marina & beach. Friendly helpful staff. Plus, the roof top terrace has great views & plenty of lounge chairs & tables for hanging out. Breakfast was the usual Portugese ham & cheese, but w/cereals, fruit, yogurt & juices + coffee & tea, more than adequate & included in the room rate. Nothing, it suited perfectly, but I was fortunate enough to request & receive a room w/a terrace. Bonus! |

Very nice and helpfull staff, location not to far from train and busstation, roofterrace is nice to sit down. To poor breakfast, little bite noisy because of the constructionwork in front of the hotel and the church behind the hotel. |

Great location, multilingual helpful staff, clean hotel, amazing roof terrace... good value for money so can't fault it really... There is nothing you wouldn't like, but it's not the Ritz... budget hotel on the top of its game. |

The hotel is central to the enchanting and largely unspoiled part of the old town of Lagos. The room was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast included in the price did not match up to the quality of the other aspects of the hotel. The choice of cereal was very limited, there was no "ordinary" tea, and the water for tea/coffee making was invariably tepid. The fruit juice supplied in the machine was very watery, and that (orange) supplied separately in a jug was of a fizzy orangeade type. Despite this comment, I enjoyed my stay overall, and would go there again. |

We found the hotel ideally situated for all that Lagos has to offer to most visitors. |

The location was excellent although difficult to find a parking space. Roof top terrace, own balcony and view from room are definitely worth another stay. Would have stayed longer if we had known how good it was. |

Silent clean room. Polite and friendly staff. Controllable air conditioning. Pleasant terrace on the roof. Lack of a small fridge in the room. |

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Lisa organised our schuttle transfer back to the airport and all staff that we met gave us lots of information. We were always met with a friendly smile and a kind word. Nothing all perfect!! |

Staff was friendly. Excellent location - in the centre but on a quiet street, close to shops and restaurants, 5 min from the main beach. Although they served "typical" Portuguese breakfast (ham and cheese) it would be great to have more options - at least some fresh vegetables to go with that. |

Very near the old city center yet far enough from bars to get a good nights rest. Basic Portugeese breakfast. Free parking in special areas throughout the city at walking distance from hotel. Several beaches at walking distance. |

Not much. It was cheap. Friendly enough staff. "free internet" is actually a prepay voucher system, which you must ask each time for a voucher in order to use. Maximum 3 hours usage, via a strange captive portal which only permits certain services. Booking.com customers get free vouchers, so no charge, but it's still a hassle and requires one to know in advance how much internet time is needed. Breakfasts are _terrible_ - nothing but the cheapest and worst ingredients. Beware if you go out for dinner, the hotel is in the most appalling vulgar tourist trap town centre, full of street hawkers with fake designer handbags, waiters demanding you into their restaurants, etc. |

Very good position to visit the city. When we arrived there was a strong smell of smoke in the room, probably they didn't even open the window before our arrival. The breakfast was very poor. At 12:01 we got a call from the receptionist asking us if we were ready to check-out!! It was the most expensive and the worst hotel we stayed in during our trip all over Algarve. |

Good location, reasonable price, breakfast included, free wifi, comfortable, looked renovated, clean, had terrace, very close to the beach. The terrace was nice but there was no view. Not too big of a deal though. One of the staff was pleasant, one looked like she didn't want to bother with the customers, that we were more of a nuisance than a customer. |

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the good and friendly service provided by the staff (specially the two younger guys working at the reception). It is also very central. The decoration is a bit old fashioned. The breakfast could've been better too. |

Solar de Mós is a small, family run hotel, with a welcoming atmosphere and a personal service. The hotel is built on 2 floors and has 15 well appointed bedrooms, all with a terrace or balcony. |
This traditional Portuguese inn is ideally placed overlooking the village of Monchique, where the rolling plains stretch out in the distance to meet the sea, with tones of blue and green. |
