Hotel Mar À Vista  

The hotel is not so much expensive, but situeted at the very good place. Rooms are beautiful with small balcons, wonderful view of ocean. Beach is quite close, besides you can have a rest at the swiming pool, which is in the hotel. Staff of hotel is very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there, like being close to heaven!

The price.

On this occasion we were given a room with no balcony. It was not the best... but then we did not pay much for it so it's fair enough...

Since I stayed here off-season, the rate was very competitive. Things were very quiet, which I didn't mind at all. Some rooms (mine did) have a balcony overlooking the beach/sea-beautiful. The evening breeze and sound of creashing waves in the distance created the perfect setting for relaxation and good sleep. The free wi-fi was handy although difficult to get in the room. Amenities are few but if you're looking for a basic accomodation with a grat view, a 10-15 minute walk (uphill on the return) from the beach, this hotel is a good value for sure.

As this was a two star hotel our expectations were not high, I cannot fault the cleanliness of the room even though it was basic - we were only sleeping there so it was fine. It was in a central location only 5/10 minutes walk into the centre of the old town and to the beach so very handy.

The only thing was this hotel was at the top of some very steep hills so if had trouble walking then I wouln't recommend unless you were getting taxis. I did complain about a drain outside our room, the cover was slightly damaged and you could smell whatever was flowing beneath it every ten minutes or so. We had a little garden area to ourselves which would have been acceptable to sit out in if it wasn't for this smell. Nothing was done about this and we just had to put up with it.If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs with you as the walls are very thin! I could hear everything from the people in the room up above going to the bathroom to the lift droning through the night to the fridge in our room making the most horrendous droning noise. I think it's time they upgraded the fridges at least.

Located in middle of the attracions,few minutes from beach and nightlife.

Have stayed here before, we chose it because of the sea views, its basic but clean, breakfast is good valuye considering its not an expensive hotel, Staff are friendly located on top of a hill so rooms stay cool, pool is small but considering the beach is 5 min walk away going downhill thats not a problem. Would recommend this hotel but not if you have bad legs in a wheel chair because of its location. If your looking for a 5star hotel then this isnt for you, but for helpfulness of staff and friendly faces, clean basic rooms with breakfast and fab views then would recommend this hotel Will definately visit again it is a favourite of ours.

The team of the hotel was very nice. at the beggining we goot a very dirty, smely, room in floor 2 and stayed there for one night :( the day after we insisted to change room and we got the most amazing wiew in Albufeira! it had a great vision on the whole village and beach line!!! and beautiful sunsets. yet, great location of the hotel.

location was good. just up to the hill with sea view. it's about 10 minutes walk down to the beach and town center.

The hotel facilities are not modern style and a bit old. For this price, value for money though.

If you only get the propoer room- can be superb view :} my was not so good as the last time. Possibility of parking place at the large public place in front of the hotel. Walking distances to the beach and the restaurants :}

This time the room was dark and narrow with the view to the neighbour wall but from the balcony you can see the sea.something was smelling from the bathroom
