These beautifully restored apartments are on an olive farm in Tavira, just 650 ft from Tavira Train Station. Quinta do Caracol offers an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

At Residencial Imperial, tiled walls and natural stone bring history to live. Within the center of Tavira, it offers views of the Gilão River and free Wi-Fi access in public areas.
Score from 325 reviews Very good
Located in Tavira historic centre, next to the Roman Bridge, Formosa Guest House offers bright private rooms. It has free WiFi access and a 24-hour reception in the most central square of Tavira.

Nice location by the Gilao river.
Staff was great and location was amazing.
No central heating. No heater in my room. Freezing cold in my room at night. Staff and guests wore coats inside during morning and evening hours. Stay there during the months of April-October.
Very good wifi available in the room. If you choose a room with a view, you get a nice view of the river and the fishermen's boats. Friendly staff ready to answer all your questions about the sights, places to eat, etc. Cleansiness of the facilities.
Very basic standard of the diminute room. Apart from the bed, there is very little place for luggage and 2 people. In spite of the excellent location of the hotel, the double room we stayed in was not worth the EUR 60 per night.
Clean comfortable room with good views and a fully functioning bathroom complete with Azulejo.
Coffee at breakfast was average for a Latin country. Restaurant was average, waiter had a Cataplana complex.
bed, wifi, air conditioning
I liked all the staff and especially Neuza who was on reception duty most nights, and also the kind woman who prepared breakfast and was most helpful. The central location was perfect for those wishing to see the historic town of Tavira
The noise during the night which came from the road at the back of the property where I slept
staff very helpful. I am pregnant and asked for extra pillows which I got. Nothing was too much trouble including an extra early breakfast the last day of our stay. Lovely fresh bread for breakfast.
Good location; friendly helpful staff; very clean; very powerful shower with loads hot water; good substantial breakfast with plenty of choice (buffet); good size room; fluffy towels changed daily
Mattress was a bit hard; no kettle in room
Location and a little bit better continental breakfast as usual.
Oldfashioned and worn-out bathroom.
The little fridge Staff Breakfast
The thin walls (luckily, the hotel was mostly empty) No view from my window although the hotel was mostly empty
Nice, comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is central to everything, within easy walking distances.
Difficult to maneuver through one way streets in Tavira.
The position overlooking the river was very pleasant. Ideal for a good variety of restaurants. Pleasant breakfast. We have booked to stay a night on our way back to the airport.
Can't think of anything.
A very good price for a small hotel in a hot tourist area. A very good location on the river.
Everything really. Staff, location, decor, breakfast, rooftop terrace. I can very highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Small cozy hotel in the center of the old town right on the river. All attractions within walking distance. The marina next door. Nice, helpful and discreet staff. The restaurant on the ground floor, and many others nearby. Excellent breakfast which can be enjoyed in the open air. For sure I will return there.
Too short a stay.
Cosy little hotel on the riverside in the heart of Tavira and very close by the ferry to the island - beautiful long sandy beach
Location for us was perfect - central to facilities, restaurants, bars etc. Balcony with view (over the river) was perfect, space to sit outside at night with a drink (room 212). No noise at night from outside. Interior was quaint and authentic, and not a bland hotel style at all. Staff were extremely helpful, and very friendly. The roof-top terrace was ideal for an hour or so to relax on (in between our property-hunting appointments) although the furniture is getting a little old.
Beds were hard, and made for uncomfortable sleeping at times. Breakfast was a repetitive choice - adequate but not exciting. No hot food (no sausages/bacon/beans/toast) - boiled eggs were usually cold. There was cold meats/cheese available for those wanting a continental-style breakfast. Bread/cakes choice was good and tasty though! Coffee better than expected too :)
The bed very uncomfortable. Bathroom not very clean. Breakfast offered was poor.
portugese interior decor and friendly staff
car parking a potential problem although okay during our stay
Location Friendly Staff Very Quiet Rooms
Staff very helpful. Nice little town
Noisy from outside drinkers had to keep the windows closed!
Our bedroom had everything we need for the six day stay. For another ten euros, we would have had a river view. We had lots of closet space to organize our stuff, a table, chair, fridge and mirrors. The quiet hotel gave us quiet nights of sleep. The Mares Restaurant is very good as well. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. We will definitely go back there again! The restaurants on the island are fabulous.
