Very helpful staff. Parking nearby, good wifi, air con was a MUST! (did leak though). Close to everything.

Great location - handy for ferry to Tavira Island and good restaurants including Porto and Jaoa Belhi.

The hotel is currently sorting out its computing speed. WiFi was not available in the room and was occasionally very slow in the communal area.

The staff was very friendly, especially Luisa at the reception, she was really helpful and she gave me great tips on where to eat and what to see!

The location and price

No lift, the roof terrace did not have the sun beds as was shown on the web site , when we asked about this at reception was told that they would have to go out and get new ones .The new ones arrived 2 days before we checked out .Also we think the breakfast could be a bit more varied.

Nice room with balcony; very good and varied breakfast; close to everything in the very interesting town of Travira; Roman bridge; convent parador; park, cafes and shops. good spot for a reasonable price. Can walk everywhere

Some noise from the ceramic tiled halls. Front rooms are above a restaurant so choose a back room overlooking a quiet street

Nice room overlooking the river, central location, very helpful staff, particularly Isabel. Good breakfast, and it was nice to be able to eat outside. We were able to walk everywhere, but it would have been nice to get to the Ilha but the ferry only runs in the summer.

Bathroom was not well designed so was very cramped. Drunken rowdies yelling in the middle of the night outside (could staff at hotel not tell them to "move on"?)

The hotel has a charming rustic look, situated on the river. Our room was big enough with a balcony and plenty of storage though would have preferred to overlook the river than the rooftops at the back however then there would have been more noise. It was really very pleasant and I would certainly recommend it. There was also plenty of parking.

Nothing to not like.

The place is beautiful and very central.

Internet did not work the 2 days we were there and other travellers told us it was longer so. Asking staff about it brought some vague remarks (they did not seem to care). Very strange because many people would not even think about choosing a hotel without internet. Another thing was the smell. They use electric dispensers of smells............

Very helpful staff. Very clean. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

Only one chair in the bedroom. The balustrade on the balcony was a little too high, making the balcony feel a touch claustrophobic and blocked the view.

The city facing balcony provided an excellent place to relax with a bit of sun in the mid-afternoon.

The only river facing rooms that were available had two twin beds even though I specified my preference on booking.com and the hotel didn't seem to be anywhere near capacity.

All you could want for a holliday break, friendly staff, great location, powerfull shower with constant heat, quiet room and a comfortable bed.

Ideal Location in centre of Tavira. Parking Easy. Quiet. Rooms adequate but basic. Staff friendly and helpful.Very good value for money.

Slightly basic rooms and facilities but and adequate place to put your head down for the night. Not somewhere that you would spend the day as it does not have gardens.

Exellent location overlooking river. Rooms very comfortable and was given a double for sole use . Breakfast to a high standard (continental ) Staff friendly and accomadating .Would stay again , but not in winter months ferry to beach stops outside the hotel but not in winter .

Nothing it was what I expected

I loved this place right in the heart of beautiful Tavira! The owner, Isobel was most charming and the location off season was perfect. Cant speak to what it is like in the busy summer season!. The town of Tavira is a gem and this historically located residence is lovely! Enjoy your coffee on the rooftop terrace and don't forget about the small sauna to de stress

To cold in winter

Nice rooms, friendly reception, easy parking, good buffet breakfast. Wifi good when working!

Lack of views from rear rooms.

Friendly staff, perfect location. One of the rooms had a spacious balcony. Value for money. When we had a problem with the electricity, the staff fixed it immediately.

One of the two rooms had only one window overlooking a wall. It was cold and not very light in that room. Not a big problem but the other room was far better.
