Score from 680 reviews Very good
- location; max 10 minutes to the city center, 2 minutes to the nearest supermarket; - good price; - nice rooms;
- staff doesn't understand English at all; - we have found a cockroachs in our room :(
It was good . It is in a good location, nice rooms . There is metro and supermarket near . Fast internet.
You can hear noise from streets, beds make a noise too.
- hostel is in the old building but is recently renovated, very clean place; - room was equiped with a kitchen; - parking is available in the streets and is free of charge; - reasonable distance from city center;
- as it's old building there is not that effective ventilation; - it was written that credit card terminal is temporarly broken but we had impression that it's permanent state;
location, staff gentle and helpful
a strange smell by the entrance of the hotel and on the staircase
Value for money; location close to historical centre (within walking distance) and underground; spacious room with balcony
View from balcony to an unfinished building structure; weird smell in the lobby; very poor wifi signal in our room; staff does not speak English at all
Ugly red and black design more suitable for a bordello. Toilet, bathtub etc are in the room, without any curtains or walls at all etc, plus lots of mirrors, so your companion sees and hears you on the toilet :[ Toilet was dirty. Quite far from city centre if going on foot.
Good value, parking nearby, nice bathroom, wifi ok.
Lack of windows.
Value for money, relatively close to city centre
A bit of a language barrier
The hotel is a convenient 5-minute walk from the Campo de 24 Agosto Metro station. The room was spacious, featuring air conditioning, full bath, wide screen TV, and Wi-Fi. Excellent value for the money.
Street noise from restaurant/bar next door. Staff was hard to find at times. Breakfast was not included. The neighborhood is a bit seedy. Pre-payment for the entire stay is required upon arrival.
Clean , quiet , comfortable . I recommended . Regards for staff .
Best value for the price for sure!
Location is very good - (1) close to the metro station; (2) if walking - 10-15min till center; (3) nice place to eat dinner at the other side of street; (4) nice place to eat breakfast at the next door; (5) nice food store at the other side of street.
If staying in the rooms with the street view, could be a bit noisy.
Location was good about 15 minutes walk from the city center. the staff was nice and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean. We stayed only overnight but I wolud recommend the loation. Price/quality ratio - really outstanding.
Lights in the room and bathroom were quite dim.
Clean,comfortable and big rooms,good prices and 5 minute walk to the metro station Campo 24 Augusto, wifi is available in all parts of the building.
The staff was helpfull but they do not understand English, the reception was always empty so you have to look around to find them,a bit noisy hotel.
The room and bathroom were both spotless. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space.
The entrance is very strange with a long corridor into the building before you come to reception. The staff are slow to come to reception. The hotel can be a bit noisy.
- comfortable beds - nice area, close to the city center but without city noises - supermarket very close - friendly family leading the hotel - every year they restyle the rooms
It's a bit difficult to see the Residencial from the main street
The unique styling of the rooms
It was a bit of a walk into town
Nice place, nice location, cheap, good people around. Good food near "O Luis" really cheap.
The room is quite big, and you have wifi in all building. The price is very good and the situation not to bad (20 min walking to almost every part of Oporto)
The bed is really unconfortable and they have three floors and no elevator. The worst part for us: they didn´t change the towels in the three days we were there, and no shampoo or gel at all (only the first day).
Superb wi-fi connection
10-12 min walking distance from the city center, Close to the supermarket, friendly staff, free parking very close to the building. If you looking just sleep it's good value for the money for sure.
First we were moved to the back of the building, nice quiet but: Towels felt like the had lived their life and had to be replaced, soap was opened in the package and had pieces of hair on it, quite damp (we visited in beginning of April). While it was quiet in the back of the building, we were politely asked to move to the renovated part next day and we were happy, it had all new fittings, super fancy shower, much bigger tv (didnt really matter), very lean BUT: as the windows face to the busy street it is almost impossible to fall a sleep if you are light sleeper as the traffic lasted till early morning (approx 5AM). All and all said, we paid 45 Euro for 2 nights which is cheap.
Very cheap and unexpectable clean and comfortable. Great place to stay in Porto! I would recommend by no means.
Newly renovated place, good facilities and extremely cheap. Room was nicely decorated and new.
Not the cleanest place. The bed sheets and pillows didn't look very clean, with some visible stains. The room had a weird temperature distribution with some zones permanently cold despite having the AC running at the maximum...
1. LOCATION is quite good, the nearest Metro station is Campo 24 Augusto. But when we took bus from Lisboa to Porto, its quite far from bus station to get Metro Sao Sebastiao to reach the hotel. But next to hotel and just across the hotel there are nice local Restaurants. 2. ROOM is quite big and clean. Bathroom is big with a bath tub, good hot shower and clean towel. 3. FACILITY is good. Room has good wifi connection, has AirCond, a cupboard, a big bed & blanket also provided. 4. STAFF is ready 24 hours (living there). She is very nice but cannot speak English, just understand a little bit.
