Excellent view to the town and ocean. Pleasant staff.

Hard walk up to the hotel but taxi from town centre is cheap.

Everything about the hotel was very good! I have no complaints the place ensured we enjoyed our holiday!!! They make fantastic toasties aswell!!!

The noise made by the dogs in the surrounding area which is no fault of those at Residencial Pina and u could always close your door which does help dump down the noise!!!

Very nice view to the sea in my room. Friendly and helpful staff. They even have a nice swimming pool!! For such a price 45/euro pernight, the hotel is excellent.

Not easily accessible. You have to climb a very deep slope to get the hotel. Some dogs are buff in the evening for unknown reasons....

Nice and quiet, staff helpful and friendly. Relaxing atmosphere in local environment away from main tourist area. Excellent value.

Situated on a very steep hill. Not suitable for older or unfit guests .

THe room was comfortable, the view stunning, the staff amenable and eager to help.

They could serve something simple to eat at their beautiful cafe. A simple lunch menu and pastries instead of just peanuts would make it perfect.

We got to the hotel on Sunday where we were greeted by a none english steaking owner who we felt was not welcoming in any way although we where offered a choice of rooms.  On Monday the english speaking receptionist came on duty and made things more imformative for us.

To call this hotel a friendly family run is a little far from the truth if you are not a local, it was as much as we could do to get a good morning and a smile wouldn,t have gone a miss.  Little to say we will not be going back to this hotel.

the room the carpet was stained all over it was very cold looking my wife was upset all nite the only good thing about the room was the shower if there was some one there that could have spoke english we would have cancelled on arrival

Short walk to Funchal, Free Wire-Less Internet normally good conection. Nice small pool area overlooking Funchal.

low comfort (lack of an electric kettle, unpleasant smell in the room, etc.), insects (especially ants), persistent barking at night.

Stämningen var mycket välkomnande och serviceinriktad. Det är ett enkelt, familjärt och mycket välskött litet hotell i ett lugnt bostadskvarter. Utsikten över staden och hamnen är fantastisk. Promenadavstånd till Funchals centrum.
