For 18 euros it was ok. No heating, and it was a cold night. However, blankets were available |

This is really for budget travellers. You are after all looking to explore Lisbon and environs. It is inexpensive, 20 metres from a Metro station or 10-15 mins walk to downtown. The free internet (if the family kads aren't on it) is handy but there is also an internet cafe next door anyway. Gentile and Luis the owners were always pleasant. There are inexpensive and expensive eateries nearby. Minor point (non en-suite accoms) but the shower does need to be fixed to the wall!! Showering there is like Highland dancing. It's not a dislike but the owners do not speak English so obviously basic Portuguese will help you... The neighbourhood is not Lisbon's finest (reflected in price) and it is on a very busy main road. Take earplugs just in case. |

Incredible location with access to metro and tram at the door step! However city center is just a km down the road. Room was cleaned on a daily basis and towels changed as well. Superb value for money. A bit chilly in the room |

Cheap and comfortable. Good room. Nice breakfeast-facilities in the near surroundings. Almost above the metro station. Ideal for 'low-budget tourists'. |

Free internet. Very clean room. Well situated, walking distance to the center and also next to metro station. Near the hotel were a bit weird people at the street. Still, the street is big and full of cafeterias and restaurants so we felt safety walking there at any time. |

Very clean for a hotel in this price range! Very good deal, for what you get! Very helpful owner. Not very far from the centre, just 12 min. walk, but.... The other users were right about "bad area". I am used to a lot, am not sissy at all, so we walked back home the first two nights. Suddenly (at about 10:30 pm) 4 people behind us, one of them had the hand in my bag, my friend noticed this, took the guys hand out,we ran away, fortunately nothing worse happened. So: Always use the subway or tram, when its dark, the stop is right in front of the entrance of the pension. |

The Residencial Roxi is very clean! And price was quite good as well. But the staff are very shy they are not that spontaneous. We expect a very good welcome from the hotel staff, so …. I totally agree with Mathew (Battersea Park Road May 14, 2009) about the shower. Not nice to save money with electricity or water. They must put a shower hook on the wall so people don’t need to hold the shower. We need both hands free to wash ourselves! That was very inconvenient. I don’t think the Roxi is in the centre of the city, you have to walk a lot to reach Figueiras Square which is the real centre of the city. It needs a lift! 3rd floor with baggage is very difficult. |

Entrance to the metro station is literally outside the main entrance door, couldn't be closer. Also the stop tram line #28 that links the main areas of sightseeing in the old town is just 30 meters away. The room was basic but comfortable enough for a short city break. The wi-fi connection worked really well even from the room at the end of the corridor of the upper floor. The staff doesn't speak English but is very friendly and helpful. It is the best bargain in Lisbon perhaps, at the rates of a hostel but having your private room, with shared facilities though. But they are always kept clean, so that wasn't a problem. The area is not dodgy at all. It is just a nice neighbourhood inhabited mostly by immigrants, with shops open till late. |

It is a budget hotel. It was very very clean ( everyday they were cleaning the room and changing bed linen). Not so much noise from the streets but take earplugs with you. The only bad thing is that the hotel stuff didn't speak English. Note that the hotel is nearby the metro station... |

Mostly price, but not only. Residential Roxi is placed about 10 minutes walking from downtown, and a hotel is clean and nice. Free wi-fi connection sometimes working, sometimes not working. You can not take a key with you when you would like to go out, and in a room is only one AC socket. |

Room was very clean and tidy, very close to the metro - few metres and close to the city center. Noisy - the 28 tram outside made a lot of noise, cars, etc. There is a telephone/door buzz in the hotel that rings at the reception but you could hear it in the room, each time |
