Centrality of Location Relaxed and friendly atmosphere
For parking I recommend a small car.
The location is undoubtedly its foremost advantage. Otherwise, the check-in and check-out went extremely easily and quickly, the room was tidy with a very good overview of the city centre roof.
The lighting is quite sparing so if you plan to do anything in the room that requires good vsibility, plan it for the daytime. Sound isolation is not very thorough, but for this price range everything is very decent.
Staff were very friendly. They didn't speak English, but tried very hard to communicate and being friendly and helpful. A simple hotel. Perfect location. Cheap. Clean. A bit old fashioned
A little bit dark in the entrance.
Very friendly staff Excellent value for money Location excellent for sight seeing Clean and comfortable
Clean also cheap Very Close to City Center Sweet and Warm-hearted,helpful hotel owner
Very Close to City Center Nice and Clean Hotel Warm-hearted, sweet hotel owner
Staff do not speak English, some rooms are damp, needs a refurbishment urgently, you can stay at better places with the same price
spacious room and bathrooms helpful staff had to pay cash
parking close by but very difficult to park no elevator so had to go 2 floors up with suitcases neighborhood was a bit shady but very close to cathedral and train station
The location is very central, the room I had was reasonable and definitely clean. The staff is extremely kind and friendly, it was a pleasure meeting them. I definitely recommend this place for visiting Porto on low budget. Do not get discouraged by the outer appearance!
The street where the residencial is located seems dodgy, but probably just needs getting used to it.
Very friendly staff, and great view from the room to the city, good location
The location is good: the hotel is close to metro and all the sights in the center.
We were staying two nights, and the owner got greedy. The first night we were put into a small room with no window and lots of humidity on the walls! The smell of humidity was everywhere. That "room" was the only one available for that night, so instead of rejecting the booking from the beginning, the owner decided that it would be OK if she offered us a better room for the second night. This solution spoiled our first day. The next day we were transferred to a normal room, which was simple and OK, but I would not recommend this hotel.
The location is very central, and within walking distance to many attractions and tourist attractions. This hotel is one street away from the regional bus station (eg if you are traveling to other cities like Braga via bus service), one street away from the national theatre, and 5 mins away from the Metro station. It is not a fancy hostel and has no common lounge area, as some hostels do. But the facilities are sufficient, with clean rooms, clean private bathroom, wifi, and the landlady is always available for questions.
The room was comfortable and within reasonable walking distance to budget restaurants, the a theater of note and public transportation. The staff could not converse in English and I found Portuguese outside of my limited range of language.
The street outside was temporarily torn up due to some public works effort. The streets are not on a grid and it took me a bit to get oriented.
It is located near the Sao Bento Station and top of the Dom Luis bridge, although on a steep road. Good value for money. Clean room.
The owners don't speak english, but they were friendly and we managed to communicate mostly in signs about the basics. The road to the hotel is steep and quite deserted after dark (at least when I was there in the end of October)
Don't judge a book by its cover... It is much better inside than it looks from the outside. Very friendly staff.
Location and the view
- close to the city
- room could be better cleaned - staff does not speak English
The hotel is located in city center with walking distance to almost all tourist attractions in Porto. The room was clean but the furniture quite old. The staff did not speak English but I did not have any problems because of that. In overall it is a very good value for money and can be recommended for people who just want to have a place to sleep while visiting Porto.
It is located in old building so you will hear a lot of noise from outside - ear plugs are highly recommended.
Perfect location, close to the Sè and other Porto landmarks.
Good value for the price and very friendly staff: although not speakibg any english, google translate and spanish can solve everything here. the car parking was the main reason in choosing this pension but besides that it was a friendly nice little room.
the seagulls were "singing" all night long, but I guess this applies for all center-Porto accomodation
Definatly value for money, friendly staff, rooms clean and great location for exploring porto and Gaia on foot.
Would have been nice if the staff spoke a bit of English, but other than that they were all very lovely.
- The price! - The receptionist lady was very friendly and helpful - Impression was very safe - Clean room with everything necessary - Nice view over Sao Bento trainstation and Porto
- The receptionist lady didn't speak English and little French - A bit noisy and somewhat shabby neighborhood - There is no elevator and it is located on one of the many hills of Porto, so expect to climb
Staff was very helpful. Room clean and comfortable.
Bit noisy outside as people were outside till late at night due to high temperatures.
Rooms are big and very clean. The position is really good and the staff is kind
Near to main bus station.Helpful but no englishspeaking staf.Clean.
No good surrounding. No possibility to comunicate in english. No kitchen, no possibility to have breakfast there.
