Well located.Very inexpensive.Friendly staff.Clean.

Very old facilities( bathroom,room) but we were expecting this when we booked.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The style of Residencial Uniao was to keep the feel of a 100-year old building with modern conveniences. The breakfast room and outdoor courtyard were light and airy and the feeling was very relaxed.

The hotel is quite good! The hotel lies on the pidestrian street, that's why the car could be parked on the backside street of the hotel (from 8pm til 8am including Saturday and Sunday free of charge).

It is expensive, the wifi worked poorly and the bed was so very small! for that money i'd have expected something better, 50euros is not so much but compared to the 30/35 we have been paying other beautiful hotels all around Pourtogal (like oporto house in Porto and Hospedaria Familiar in Aveiro) it is a lot!

Very convenient location, quiet traffic-free street, with castle in the near distance. Without any exception, amiable and helpful staff who provided a very nice atmosphere. Lots of nice little touches inside the hotel which made for a comfortable and relaxing ambience.

Rambling, quirky old hotel in the very center. We asked about heat, and the staff put a portable heater in our room without being asked, and warmed it up while we were out.

Didn't bother us, but stairs are quite steep.

Owners very welcoming and friendly, the hotel is beautiful! It is quite big with a lovely area for breakfast. The little bar in the room behind the reception is help yourself! Very trustworthy! The big sitting room with tv and books is really relaxing after helping yourself to a vino. The room was comfortable although heating didn't seem to work as well as we hoped. A perfect location, couldn't ask for anything nicer. :)

We liked the building and the green courtyard - the breakfastroom and living room are really nice. And it had central heating which most of the hotels (in this category) do not have. The staff is really kids friendly and our to children liked it very much.

The location was awesome, just near the castle.

The bed was very hard and the pillows very thin. No comfort during the sleep.

The room was well furnished the bathrom was narrow but had fully enclosed bath plus toilet bidet and basin good strong shower and hot water there weas a nice window alcove spotlessly clean nothing was too much trouble fr staff and owner lovely sitting room nice bar with reasonable prices B'fast was impressive old building in the absolute centre of the old town

Rooms and bathrooms are too old and dirty!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Central location in the pedestrialised 'old town' of Tomar, an easy walk from the Convento do Cristo (the main local attraction). Quiet at night, and comfortable beds (at least, mine was!). Good breakfast and reliable wifi in the public areas, which include a comfortable lounge and an 'honesty bar', both unusual in accommodation in this price bracket.

My (single) room was tiny and rather dark, with nowhere to sit at a computer even if the wifi had reached it. Breakfast marred by undrinkable coffee (unusual in Portugal) but the orange juice was freshly squeezed!

Daniela and staff were friendly and responded to my requests for change of room, a late night tea and overall very accomodating. The hotel is located on nice street near enough to the Convento Christo, shops, restaurants and church. The bus/train station is a short walk, the river front park is also right up the street. Breakfast was included and was very nice with pastries, coffee, tea, juice, yogurts, toast, cereal, jams, honey, etc..nice atmosphere with living room and tv, books etc..rooms nice size, had to switch as original room was on main floor near front desk, bar, tv etc and I desperatly needed quiet and sleep...they changed my room upon request to 2 floor-it was much more quiet, the private bathrooms were a nice size and clean. I was quite tired, they informed there would be men working on the hotel in the morning..which could have a been problem if I needed to sleep in, but I planned to leave after breakfast and toured the castle, city etc. so I was not in the hotel during the work time.

My initial arrival with the noise in the lobby was a bit off putting..the men that would be working on the hotel in the morning were talking right outside my window and in the bar/lobby...I just finished the camino and was looking forward to quiet and rest. It got a little complicated but eventually a different room was worked out and it was a nice stay overall.

It is very much a budget hotel. The bed was not comfortable, lighting not strong enough for reading. I wouldn't stay there again. I would recommend for young, budget travelers. For those who want more comfort, i' advise another place.

Fantastic location,friendly staff,would highly recomend for a short city break.Tomar is a beautyful small city in the heart of Portugal,The convento de cristo,is out of this world and highly recomended.

The smallest bathroom I've ever been in.The coffee on a morning would be better freshly made...

The location of the hotel is very good. It is in the center of the main tourist route. It has a very nice inside garden and also a living room where you can serve yourself nice Portuguese wine. Breakfast was very rich and the place was opened with view to the garden. Very pleasant inside organization of the hotel.

The room was not clean enough and a bit small as we had limited space where to leave luggage and other staff. The romantic mid-age outlook has it charm but it is not corresponding to the prices we had to pay taking into considerations this is a very small Portuguese city and not Lisbon or Porto.
