The very pleasant member of staff at reception. The location was excellent.

The bathroom (and to a lesser extent the bedroom) needs updating.

Cant be closet to the attractions, just dês Stella from the main square. Besides the hotel itself is worth to visit, since it may be the 1st hotel of the city.

Accommodations are ok, but the bed is really old and can be an issue for those more demanding.

This is a charming centrally located property with an old world feel. Tremendous value and wonderfully helpful and charming hosts - Jorge and colleague Claudia. Spotless room and fresh linen daily. Sitting room is large and comfortable and dining area is well stocked. No question unanswered - helpful suggestions for shopping. Home from home feel.

    Tiny ensuite bathroom.

The staff were very friendly - it felt like being welcomed into their own home. The location was excellent - very close to the Convento de Cristo, where I was singing at Zezere Arts Festival for a week. Although wifi didn't extend to the bedrooms, there was a very comfortable sitting room and bar both with wifi. As a singer, I was very pleased that there wasn't air conditioning to ruin my voice!

Because the building isn't modern, the room and ensuite bathroom were a bit small. My room was at the back of the hotel so I was wakened quite early by the postal workers moving carts of mail around the sorting office across the road. I would say these dislikes are far outweighed by the positives - I'll be back next year!

I really liked the location in the old part of town and it's proximity to the Covento de Cristo. ATM outside the door and so many restaurants on the same street and surrounding ones! It was really lovely to stay in a unique building, such a change from the sameness of modern accomodation.

Front of house rooms can be a bit noisy (from the street) at night, but still, the room is worth it!

Great location on walking street. Very helpful staff.

3rd floor walk up - very steep stairs. Breakfast average - could be better.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel was perfectly placed on a pedestrian street in the heart of the town and the hotel itself was lovely, full of old Portuguese charm and light. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

    Nothing! Perfect place.

Our room opened towards the back overlooking an open garden where neatly hung washed blankets and sheets drying in the sun and fresh air. Loved the breakfast room and all the attentions paid to us by our gracious hosts. I would love to return. Don't miss the international doll collection at the foot of the stairs! Wonderfully old school!

my favourite place in Portugal. Old fashioned, well kept budget hotel (pension). Lovely staff. Comfort limited by age of the building, but everything one needs.

Super position - castle and other attractions all reachable on foot, beaufiful old house with furniture and fittings in keeping with period, plenty of room to feel at home (bar and large sitting room) and relax. Well looked after by owner. Excellent price ratio.

This is a comfortable, charming, and atmospheric, historic hotel located in the centre of town. I initially booked for one night, and ended up staying four; it's that good. The staff are very helpful. In a word - fabulous!

I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and honestly can't say anything negative.

Location was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. It isn't fancy but everything necessary was there. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and very plentiful. I would definitely stay there again.

The bed was quite hard. The stairs to the second floor were hard to handle after a long day out in the town! It is not good for anyone with mobility problems.

The location being on the main street of Tomar.

Climbing steep stairs to get to bedroom. Thought the furniture in bedroom was very old and somewhat tacky (red painted beds, orange lamp shades) and the TV was a very old 12" one, which was so small, you could not see the picture clearly. Not worth 40 euros a night for the room.
