The hotel is a very good value for money. The location is excellent; my room was spacy and was tidied up every day. The breakfast was OK. I liked very much the receptionists at the hotel, especially one of them who was always attentive, helpful and professional, and always had a smile on her lovely face. I'll definitely stay there again when I visit Porto next time. |

The location couldn't be better! Right around the corner from Sao Bento train station. Front facing rooms have the advantage of the Aliados squares activities, but can be noisier than the back if you're sensitive to noise. There was a hiccup in our room assignment that wasn't handled consistently or well by different reception staff & mgmt. It worked out in the end, but created unnecessary stress for us. The hotel meets it's standard, fairly simple. |

great location. very friendly staff. The breakfast kaiser buns were great with the salted butter and ham......simple but fresh. Quite a starway up to reception but there is an elevator from there to the rooms. lightbulb over the bed was blinking and although the gentleman did change it....it started blinking the next night. Oh well, we weren't in the room all that much and there were other lights |

The staff were friendly and competent, the room and bathroom were small but clean, everything was ´adequate`, it's main plus points were it's central situation, the price and lack of noise in the cheaper rooms. 45 euros per night for 2 people bed and breakfast is good value. Unfortunately the stair lift, which takes you up the 28 steps to the reception and elevator was out of order on our arrival, which is not good news for someone with dodgy knees like myself. |

The breakfast was good although if we had stayed longer it lacked variety. The staff were very helpful and polite. Great location. |

Very central location in a lovely city The room was in need of an overhaul and lacked space. They carefully gave guests the remote controls for tv and air conditioning, but the tv was only tuned to 3 channels and couldn't be reprogrammed. The staff were not friendly or helpful, unlike everyone else we met in our trip around Portugal and Northern Spain. The light in the lift was broken, so we had to travel in darkness and lift has no inner door. But this has an excellent central, if noisy situation |

Friendly & helpful reception staff; clean room; central location. 1. Extremely firm bed. 2. Room small & like the hotel, well used. However this is probably reflected in the rate. 3. Breakfast very basic. 4. Lounge/TV/reading area poorly lit. Suggest the hotel open the unused room adjacent to the breakfast room for use as a reading room. |

Hotel was very central. The Front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly (especially Maria). Breakfast was adequate but simple. The room was clean and little noise from the street when windows were closed. No shampoo was available. Decor (plain concrete ) should be updated as it gives a depressing feeling! |

Friendly professional staff. Comfortable room, very good central location near Sao Bento station. Our room at the rear had double windows facing onto to the aircon unit - which couldn't be opened - effectively no windows! But the aircon kept things cool, it meant the room was quiet at night and it was still a good price. |

We liked the fact it was central to the centre of the town and it was excellent value for money, we could not fault the breakfast as there was plenty to eat, one small point was the issue that the lift had no internal door and our room had a small amount of mould on the the brickwork around the window, |

Excellent location, very friendly staff and moderate price. The hotel is located right at the main square and around the corner from the Sao Bento railway station. Our favorite receptionist just kept smiling and giving interesting tips and information about the (art) history of Porto and Portugal. Room was quite functional but clean and with good beds. Unfortunately there was only one single electricity point, and even worse, you can't leave your batteries to charge while you're out, because electricity is switched on / off with the door key. But they offer to charge batteries at the reception desk. |
