Moderate size, quiet, comfortable, very relaxing, excellent food, freindly staff and excellent value for money, in short highly recommended The bed was two singles pushed together, a minor quibble! |

On arrival we had to pay the for our room, we have never had to do this in any other hotel. We had to pay by cash as their multibanco machine was out of order. We were awoken several times during our stay by very noisy guests. We had chosen this hotel as it was not in the main city, assuming that it would be quiet. Breakfast service was extremely slow, resulting once in a near missed trip. All additional items had to be bought or hired, eg safe, hairdryer, pool towel, toiletries. |

Breakfast (openair, continental), situation, restaurant, price reduction, pretty curtains, cleanliness, intimacy, (the reception knew who we were; I left a scarf in Reception the day we arrived, and it was returned to me) small hotel, efficient service. My friend didn't like eating the same breakfast every day. We could cope with our room being small. but there was only one chair, and nowhere to put clothes, so I lived out of my suitcase. I did mention to them that some hooks would have been a good idea for hanging wet coats. There was nowhere to hang things in the bathroom, so nightwear and clothes had to be placed on the toilet lid. A small issue, but easily resolved. Noise from other guests, esp when closing their doors....loud system. |

Nice room, clean and friendly. Helpful staff with good sense of humor. Small swimming pool and terrace on the roof, where you can admire great view of Funchal at night from. Breakfast tasty and sufficient. Everything ok. It was hard to find the hotel. Could be situated a little bit nearer to the city center. |

Breakfast on the terrace, view of the sea from the room and the proximity to good view points. I enjoyed the complimentary foot massage. The staff were very helpful overall. My room was rather dark and in keeping the balcony doors open for light people passing to the pool could see in. There was a security lamp outside the room which stayed on all night. Dinner at the Flame Tree, although good, was very small portions! |

The hotel isn't very big, but very personal and cosy. The staff was very nice and helpfull, the breakfast also was very good. If you would like to stay amongh the lokal public it is a very good hotel to choose. It takes about 15-20 min to walk to the centre of the city, but it is a nice and beautiful walk. Ashtray with lits. |

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and of my room. I liked also external illumination in the evening as well as the plants around the hotel. - room very small and without TV, - same food for breakfast everyday, - the beach, shopping centre and atractions |

situated close to the town centre (walikng 10-15 minutes), welcome staff, great dinners, nice family atmosphere, nice location and view, good value for money, good for young couples and backpackers (but we saw also a lot of retired people) thin walls - you can hear everything -even singing cleaning staff ;)) |

Staying in the hotel, I liked the facilities available, early breakfast if needed, swimming pool etc. However I did not like at all, that somehow a mobile phone was gone from our room, while we were away for all day. I am not saying that it has been stolen, but we were sure, that a mobile was left in the bed itself (due to using alarm to catch a boat-trip). Finding out this and spoken to staff they were not helpful whatsoever. Asked them to check in case of taking it with the dirty linen etc. |

The personal was great. The hotel was hard to find. No TV in the room. The shower curtains where too short turning the bathroom into a small swimming pool. Really bad mattress. |

A basic, value for money hotel, within reasonable reach of Funchal town centre, either a short bus/car ride or a brisk 15 min walk, although taxis are plentiful and cheap. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the food in the hotel restaurant was of a high standard. Everywhere was spotlessly clean! |

The staff were excillent from the very begining, hotel is very nice, stylish and clean. Fantastic views from the balcony, very close to the city centre, 2 km nice walk..lovely breakfast area among palms, would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect base to explore the island. Not expensive and high quality. |

Bom serviço e simpatia. Implica subir duas ruas inclinadas desde a beira mar, mas depois de se conhecer nem é assim tão longe. Bom acesso de autocarros - 45 e 50. |

A localização está excelente (para quem tem um carro), pois em 5 minutos está-se no centro do Funchal e do terraço superior do hotel pode ver-se toda a baía. O restaurante é bom. Foi o preço mais baixo que encontrei para uma pessoa individual por noite. Não haver TV no quarto. |
