The proprieter and staff bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. My wife had to go to hospital and the proprieter ran me back and forth and made sure she was comfortable on her return. Before this he always gave great advice on where and where not to eat. I'd definitely go again. |

A lovely old guest house with good size rooms in a very god location near the marina and lots of shops and restaurants. For the price - £25 -I would expect breakfast, or even only coffee or tea. |

Very friendly and helpful staff. Within easy reach of several eating establishments -e.g. breakfasts for about 3 Euros. Excellent cafe nearby offering choice of 4 meals each day including a vegetarian (6.5 E) - turn right out of Res. Dandy, take 1st right, passing church on right; cafe in far right hand corner of square. See below - poor reviews appear to have been left by anti-social types who were smoking in a non-smoking environmment - probably due to excessive alcohol intake! |

The proprietor at the Residencial Dandy was courteous and generally helpful. Free wireless internet was an unexpectedly nice touch. Proximity to the train station was useful. The smell of smoke in the room was faint, but noticable. Room was smallish, which was expected. The neighborhood was fairly decrepid. |

This place was exactly what I wanted. Small, family run, quiet, very central and extremely comfortable. While there was catering facilities the location was near to lots of bars & cafes serving up excellent portuguese seafood straight out of the nearby harbour. All in all Faro was fantastic and it seems a shame that most visitors bypass Faro town in favour of seaside resorts. |

Very pleasant and helpful host, spotlessly clean, very reasonably priced. The single rooms are downstairs and lack outside windows, but given the good points for the hotel and the price, this was fine. |

Internet access was fast and free. The staff were friendly. The room had lots of fun old furniture and was comfortable. There were some ants in the room. |

Irene is wonderfully kind and helpful, and runs the hostel very efficiently. The breakfasts are superb. The room was cleaned and tidied every day. The hostel is in the ideal location if you're staying in Cabanas. |
