comfortable bed, nice room and very quaint decor throughout. My bathroom was very small and the shower tray needs replacing but I was able to use the communal bathroom. |

Quirky decor. Very clean. Free wifi. Loud music till late on weekend from nearby venue (not the hotel's fault but something to be aware of). Could not pay by credit card except to the owner. |

Location was close to bus and train, waterfront and town centre. Free WiFi. Fridge in room. Great cheap little cafe along the road. The owner invited me to have roasted chestnuts and wine liquer with staff and another guest which was nice. A very relaxed atmosphere in a quirky residence. My room was above a very noisy street even though I'd requested a quiet room. The owner was in bed when I arrived at 10am and checked me in, in his dressing gown. The rooms say there is a kitchenette, coffee maker etc but these are in the owners kitchen and I think available on request. |

Bus, train, city and harbour nearby. Interior and exterior have flavour. Books and magazines at disposal of guests. Clean. I did not feel too welcome. In view of the opinions given by others this may have been incidental. |

I got to see two other rooms where other friends were staying and they were pretty nice. The room that slept three people was a real good size, nice balcony, etc. The gent on reception was friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. My room was in the basement and was pretty grotty. Smelt really musty and was right next to the shared bathroom so was woken pretty early by people showering. Overall though, considering the price, if you don't end up in the dungeon room the hostel was really nice and in a good location. I'd stay there again despite the above. |

Very nice and hospitable owner. For some reasons I needed to cut my stay from 5 to 3 days - he has called booking.com office himself to reorganise my booking. We could use his own kitchen and a ukranian lady that works there wanted even to cook for us, saying that we can use any of their food! Very nice. |

Central location meant we could walk to everywhere! It was near to the train station and the town so great for us. Noisy streets was the only thing we found annoying. Bring your earplugs! |

Very nice and helpful staff and great location -right in the city centre and only 5 minutes walking to the bus station. The rooms are very clean and nice, decorated in typical Portughese style. Free internet and printer available. Excellent value for money. Would definitely return there again. |

Quaint (and kind of quirky) authentic guest house run by friendly man. Perfect location. Room and guest house were clean and had everything we needed. Friendly owner/manager was always around to help and suggest places to go. Would definitely return if in Faro again. |

The staff person (sorry, we didn't get his name) was very helpful and welcoming. He helped us with our bags, showed us available rooms so we can choose which we wanted, and gave directions to nearby parking. We chose a room at the back (quieter) and it was quite spacious. There was a little fridge, which was very nice. The location is great for exploring Faro and walking to nearby restaurants. We would recommend Residencial Dandy, especially given the very reasonable price and the helpful staff. The nearby parking lot had some men hanging around trying to hustle money from you. They claimed to watch your car, and when we gave them some money, they demanded more. They were quite threatening, and we worried about our safety and that of our rental car. |

Good situation of the hotel in the city. Very close to the airport (3km). It's better if you choose a room in the back, and not in the front of the street because it could be noisy. Bathroom and bed were clean. Nice stop for one night during a trip. |

Friendly and helpful owner, WLAN, nice common patio, very central location. Room was a bit loud but with earplugs it was OK and I was there in late season so there were other rooms available but it wasn't that bad that I moved. |
