Hotel Aliados    

Location (close to Douro river, shopping street, train station, night spot). Friendly (and English speaking) staff Clean rooms.

Breakfast quality was ok; choices however were limited

It was like a Parisian hotel but a little down at heel. Wonderful anyway although they have some funny rules about not eating in your room.

The breakfast was quite ordinary!

The bed was very comfortable & the hotel has a kind of old world feel to it. The staff were friendly & helpful.

As a vegetarian , the breakfast of cheese & bread was very bland.

Can be very noisy of a night with late night revelers and emergency car sirens. Staff can be a bit grumpy.

Nice, quiet comfortable room with a great view of Liberdade Square.

Very centrally situated in a prominent location,150m. from the railway station and shopping. Recently modernised - Reception is now on the second floor, above the locally renowned Guarany cafe/restaurant, which is also recommended. Excellent value for money.

Hotel is on a busy junction, and early morning traffic noise can be intrusive.

Fantastic location in the heart of Porto city, walking distance from everything. Helpful staff and clean spacious rooms. The bathroom is fantastic and brightly clean. The breakfast is good. Value for money A+

Bathrooms, standards of cleaning is very high.

Rooms out the front and side are noisey, traffic. There are no hot drink facilities available.

Location was excellent, perfectly placed to see the highlights of the city and for shopping.

Small pokey rooms with little room to move. Situated on a busy road so traffic and people pose a sleeping obstacle if you prefer an early nights sleep.

Splendid location. Good old time atmosphere.

Excellent Location, the best it can be. Hotel staff is very very helpful. We were extremely comfortable and the hotel is highly recommended for tourists.

Central location. Very easy walk to old city and close to train station and many restaurants and cafes. Very clean. Excellent breakfast in sunny dining room . Enjoyed restaurant downstairs from hotel - fun, friendly and enjoyable music.

Could be noisy as is located on central square but didn't affect us. Our particular bathroom was quite cold.

As for the 3* hotel I would expect bigger variety of food served for breakfast.

Excellent location in the very centre of Porto, close to the train station. Beneath the hotel a nice big restaurant, driven in a traditional manner with evening's musical events. Very nice food, good drings, professional crew and cheering atmosphere. Be before 9pm to get a table!

It was on the central location . Room & Bath & Toilet were clean ..

The breakfast not enough rich , also it starts so late (8:00 a.m.). Before 8.00 a.m. forbiden to go breakfast hall .. If ur flight eraly or if u have a meeting early in the morning u cant get breakfast before 8.00 a.m.It could start 7.30 a.m ..

Charming hotel with beautiful views and best location ever! Simple breakfast, but covers all the essentials. Very nice and helpfull staff. Very clean! Would reccomend it to a friend!

If you intend to sleep during your holiday, this hotel may not be for you :) the noise from the street made it impossible for me to sleep at all, as there are old wooden windows that do not isolate the noise at all, it was like sleeping on the street! Besides the noise form the street there is also very old squeeky wooden floor..:) definitely not for light sleepers! Anyhow, if you are not a light sleeper, this is a perfect hotel for a stay in Porto!

Hotel Aliados has a great location, right on the central square. The staff was very polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean, the towels were changed everyday. There was a radiator and aircondition, so the room was warm. The bathroom was recently renovated, very clean.

The street is very noisy, all nights there was a heavy traffic and noisy groops of people outside - on the street ar at the square. The room was a small one.
