The hotel was ideally placed for a long weekend break in Porto . Porto is very hilly and the hotel is situated on the tourist bus route which was very handy . Having the cafe / restaurant downstairs was good to have your last coffee and digestive before bed as no facilities in the room The only down side to our stay was that it was very noisy - and that is not the fault of the hotel . We did choose to visit a big city

Excellent location in the center of Porto with good restaurant on ground floor. Good arrangement with nearby parking garage saved countless Euros over city parking. Nevertheless, would classify this as a budget hotel with old facilities but friendly staff.

Only worth it for the location, you are right in the center, walking distance to most interesting places. (a 5 Euro ride away from the train station too). Our room was on the top floor and was good. The staff can be a bit awkward but are helpfull. Skip the breakfast (if thats what you can call it). Requires luck to park your car if you drive.

Very friendly staff that were happy to loan an umbrella in the rain and reccomend restaurants, bus routes and anything we needed. Great price and prime location Didn't feel very secure with no safe in the room for personal things and had to hand key in at reception every time we went out, we never got ID'd when they handed it back so we felt it could've gone to anyone

The room was tiny. The staff was rude. They neglected to tell us the car park closes on Sunday and we were stranded in the city for an extra night, causing us to get a cancelation charge at our next hotel since we could not get there without our rental car. It was a nightmare.

The room was cleaned well and all the staff were most friendly and helpful. The choice at breakfast was very disappointing. I have stayed in cheaper hotels in Porto which managed to provide a better range. The rooms overlooking the square are quite noisy but the view in impressive; it depends on what your priorities are.

Unbeatable location..quick walk to everything. Reception staff were cheerful, quick, knowledgeable and always helpful. Among the best staff I've experienced. Unfortunately we got a really small room with a narrow double bed. While the windows do well to insulate sound from outside, the hallways allow noise to come in the rooms easily. Breakfast is terrible....but the location is fantastic!

I see a lot of people complaining about the break fast. It says "Continental Breakfast" not "Hot Buffet"! The breakfast was great as was the fantastic location. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean and comfortable. The staff spoke perfect english and were very knowledgeable on Porto and the Surrounding areas.

Very friendly and fluently speaking english staff. Unbelievable room on the 6th floor where we prefer to stay next time. Hotel is old but probably just this makes a special atmosphere.

It was only a fifteen minute walk down the hill to the beautiful tourist city centre Poor rooms in a shaby building with staff who were pretty rude and abrupt. Even really simple tasks such as booking a cab for you was a real chore...

The exterior was very nice. The location was very good. The restaurant below was convenient and the food very good. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. The room was very small. I would not rate this hotel as 3 star more like 2 star. A shame as the exterior was very impressive but the interior was shabby at best. The shower leaked over the floor, impossible to avoid. The rooms did not feel clean.

- classy cafe is just right downstair, very convenient. - the room is neat but a bit old. - hotel is near metro station. Actually, Porto is just a small city, everywhere are very close. We go around the city by walks. The hotel is quite far away from the river side though. - WiFi is not free. - breakfast is just so-so. Bread, cereals, etc. No hot dishes provided. - Double bed is small - the furniture is old - no laundry is allowed in room (I don't know the reason behind)
