Quiet room, clean bathroom, friendly staff. Free wi fi is a big plus. In this prince range (ca. 20€ for a single room), this is the best option in Lisbon.
Internet was slow
Perfect value for money. Room is good, clean, warm with AC, TV.
Quiet room, clean bathroom, friendly staff. Free wi-fi was a big plus. It also had a flat screen TV and air con. Best hostal in this price range.
There was a group of British youngsters next door, who were drunk and caused disturbance, but fortunately they just stayed on Friday night.
I had a room at the 4th floor and it was really good. Quiet ! big enough ! comfortable... What else do you need ! Surely I will return.
No soap in the bathroom but for that price I can't complain on anything !
The room was clean and comfy. Location good for old lisbon and new centre both approx 15mins walks
Perfect location, efficient heating, large bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, good wifi, comfortable beds..
Bed covers very slippery, not enough racks for towels, no breakfast (but bars next door and downstairs).
The room was attractively presented with authentic Portuguese part tiled wall and wood furniture. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was possible to have a good night's sleep as the hotel was quiet during the night. All staff were delightful. In the area there are several good restaurants and bars. We would especially recommend Restaurant Pepe opposite.
Lisbon is very hilly. We walked everywhere which was not a problem for us but might be for less fit persons.
Handy for eating places and transpot to town
Location and cost
Location, close to the old town (10 minutes on foot or 5 by bus)
No internet, the room and the toilet were in line with the price.
You get what you pay for. Excellent bargain. Good beds.
Staff , location and clean place.
No shampoo, which was supposed to be there.
My husband and i stayed at room 401. We are generally out from morning to evening and really want a comfy bed and a clean room to look at our photos and relax. Lots of restaurants around the hostal, bakery with great coffee and breakfast, bus station right in front of it and metro station a few blocks away. I'd definitely come back if I'm in lisbon.
I could use a change of towel on the 3rd day. I don't mind that they only clean the room after the 3rd day, but it would be nice to have fresh towels on the 3rd day.
No WiFi as promised not even in public areas person at front was made aware of this problem and could not fix it,noise from traffic, had to walk sideways to get to side of beds. Squeaky beds. Not many plugins.
Cheap, location is awesome
Cleaning personal is extremely loud and they will be shouting in the corridors, windows let some air in even when closed.
Nice location, respectful staff, comfort and large clean room.
bed is very comfortble
our room has no window, its moist and peculiar smell, its far away from the subway, but its near from bus station
very close to the party area in Lisbon (Bairro Alto), downstairs you can also find many cafes to get food in. very comfortable beds easy to adjust temperature via air conditioner/heater
not enough electricity sockets in some rooms for phone/camera charging
Super budget hotel. Clean ,helpful staff, good location and extraordinary value for money.
old portuguese interior of the room, area
The bus stop to the central area is just in front of the hotel
Pleasant and helpful staff Good TV Nice Wifi A lot of restaurants in neighborhood Best price
No kitchen Little bit noisy
Good value for a single room with own bathroom. Not that far from Baixa/Old Town. I mostly used the metro, but sometimes walked as well. Very clean at the time of check-in. Rooms are cleaned every three days. Very friendly and helpful staff. There are many cafes around for breakfast, and a small grocery and cafes for dinner. Safe neighborhood.
My mattress was so-so, but it is not a 4-star hotel so not really a big issue... The only complaint - the elevator seemed to be permanently out of order, as for 4 days it wasn't working, which is very inconvenient if you have to carry your luggage three floors up...
Have stayed here many times and find it to be a very good budget/no frills hotel with no compromise on cleanliness or comfort. Reception staff are very polite and professional and all speak excellent english
