The best during our staing was Luis who organized our two days trip around Madeira by car - it was wondefrull!!!

The hotel is in a quiet side street with easy access to both the centre of Funchal and the lido / hotel area. It's actually in a much better location than many of the more expensive hotels as there are several nice restaurants within a five minute walk. Buses into Funchal and round the island coach tours are about a ten minute walk away. Our room was very spacious with twin beds plus a seating area with a third bed. We had a balcony with views looking across a small banana plantation out to sea. The shower was good and there was always plenty of hot water and fresh towels every day. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and most speak a number of languages.The new owner manager,Pedro, is charming and he made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Some of the rooms in the hotel have been revamped and they are lovely and light and airy but a little more expensive than the older rooms. Our room was an absolute bargain and I would recommend a stay here for anyone wanting a good value holiday in Madeira.

I was woken a couple of times by barking dogs. The dogs were in a neighbouring house, so can't really blame the hotel

The hotel has charm, very spacious rooms and most friendly stuff.

Clean,friendly,good location, very comfortable, aswell as being affordable. Can't fault it. Happy to return.

рекомендую. я очень критично отношусь к обслуживающему персоналу, но тут - лучше и не придумаешь! всегда улыбаются, приветливые, внимательные и самое главное, быстрые. ни одного заказа долго ждать не приходилось. номер уютный и комфортный со всем необходимым. убирался каждый день, белье и полотенца меняли каждый день.великолепный вид на океан.до пляжа 5 мин ходьбы. вечером скучать не приходилось. шумных дискотек тут конечно нет, но рестораны с живой музыкой, бары, караоке... всё под боком. я думаю, если когда-нибудь еще поеду на мадейру, то только в этот отель.

Excellent standing pour un tarif modique personnel remarquable,chambre spacieuse et impeccable,seul les matelas sont trop fermes,mais on s'y habitue.Parking gratuit; proximité d'excellents restaurants. Nous recomendons cet hotel avec une note 18/20 Monique & Eric St Germain en Laye F.

Matelas & oreillers très fermes! pas d'indication assez précise pour arriver à l'hotel,la première fois!

-’s ochtends om 8.00 uur jankende honden bij de buren (ong. 5 minuten) en ’s avonds nog een keer (‘baasje’ gaat/komt van werk??) -kamers aan de tuinkant hebben de hele dag geen zon, de kamers met zeezicht van 10.00-16.00 uur (mei)

Einfache aber saubere, ordentliche und mit allem notwendigen (Fernseher, Badewanne, Fön) ausgestattete Zimmer, in unserem Fall mit Balkon und traumhaftem Meerblick. Angenehm harte Matratzen. Liebevolles, abwechslungsreiches Frühstücksbuffet, freies WLAN sowie Internet-PC im Eingangsbereich. Besonders Luis, dem der Laden mehr oder weniger gehört, ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, und hat eine Menge guter Tipps parat. Und wenn er mit seiner Familie und Freunden grillt, darf man sich durchaus dazugesellen! Das Hotelviertel von Funchal-West mit zahlreichen Restaurants und Pubs ist fußläufig erreichbar, ebenso wie eine häufig angefahrene Bushaltestelle mit Linien u.a. in die Innenstadt und nach Camera de Lobos. Fazit: Es ist natürlich kein Luxus-Hotel, bietet aber ein unschlagbar gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ohne Schwächen. Nächstes Mal auf jeden Fall wieder!

Etablissement situé dans un zone calme hors de la zone du front de mer hyper touristique (grands ensembles hôteliers et restaurants très raccoleurs proposant des cartes types). La chambre est simple mais propre (sol parqueté refait à neuf récemment).

Cet hôtel à l'air surrané manque du charme que l'on en attend (les photos internet sont plus alléchantes). Le confort de la literie est moyen. La salle de bains aurait besoin d'une rénovation, elle est mal éclairée et exigue. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est basique.
