quiet location, big pool, breakfast
rugs in room were extremely smelly and rather old, some shelves were very dusty, noise from the neighbours, restaurant evening food only ok
Shuttle from beach failed to turn up
Pool. Hotel itself. Shuttle to beach. Staff very good on reception.
almost evrything is perfect , staff ,food the pool etc .
drinks at the bar are too expensive
The most helpful staff. The decor of public rooms The spacious public rooms Good size bedrooms, quality furnishings.
Very late room cleaning
walking distance to beach and the nice casual bars/restaurants of Garrao Beach Pool at hotel is also lovely -quiet, cool in places if desired. Plenty of towels provided anmd drinks not too expensive.
if you go to the beach, loungers and shade are charged. Considering cost of hotel per night this seemed rather mean.
The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating e.g. no qualms over letting us have our room until the evening after check out so we could be at the beach/pool before our late flight. They have a frequent shuttle bus to the beach (an easy 10min walk - but uphill slightly- or 2min bus ride). The beach is lovely, very clean with views over the ria formosa. There are a number of great restaurants on stilts along the beach. The best is Dos Passos for lunch (book ahead!!!). The facilities are lovely with a big pool an plenty of towels. No one reserves beds at 5am either! The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had - plenty to choose from and all fresh and homemade. We settled in extremely quickly and found it very relaxing. The dinner at the hotel is very nice and they also give plenty of recommendations for restaurants not just on the beach front but lovely ones inland.
The area of private beach that is part of the hotel charges 15 euros for 2 sunbeds+sunshade for a day (9 euros 4-7pm) whereas it used to be free for guests.
Exceptional front reception staff
Staff, style of Hotel, location.
Dining area decor was bland. No toilets by swimming pool area
Location and the facility overall was good. It is built in a very upscale town, with lots of architectural
Was expecting a kids center, but they told us it is not active before July. That wasn't what we expected from a 5 star hotel, and with 4 small kids combined for 3 families, the kids center was a decision making point for us. They should have found a solution, but instead just told us it opens in July (we were there mid June) Also, the elevator didn't open automatically when we tried holding it. Once our stroller got stuck between the door and the frame and two of us were in the elevator while two were out behind the stuck stroller. Our 5 year old son was terribly scared, cried a lot. He is unfortunately scared of getting on elevators after this vacation.
Location, facilities, staff. All meals in restaurant - wide variety all excellently prepared and presented.
Influx of 'Easy Jet' passengers due to cancelled flight!
This was a lovely hotel for fly and flop- the staff were so lovely and could not enough for the guests- I loved the food and the location- just what you need to relax- will be going back !
Absolutely everything except the bed.
The bed was quite hard.
friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile, shuttle bus always available to go to the beach with pickup if required for your return.
Very good staff. Nice area. Comfortable room.
No facility in the room to prepare tea/coffee. No fresh juice at the breakfast. Wifi connection a bit slow in a period where the hotel was far to be full.
spa jaccuzi never seemed to be open
The staff were so friendly and helpful.
There was n
Staff was very helpful, breakfast was delicious and the hotel was located in a very nice relaxed area.
You could hear everything was going on in the next room, since the walls are very thin. Would rate this hotel as a four star hotel.
Charming and helpful staff. Pleasant outlook from the bedrooms on both sides of the hotel. Good buffet breakfast. Nice pool and surrounds.
We liked everything about the hotel & location. Hope to return for a longer stay. Food was nicely presented & delicious. Service excellent. Sea view room very spacious & comfortable.
Very nice and quiet hotel, perfect for family and couples seeking a relaxing stay away from noise and overcrowded beaches. Hotel restaurant is really good.
A fantastic hotel, great staff and every need catered for. Easy short distance from the airport and plenty of ,ocal restaurants by the coast.
Needed a few days of relaxation and this hotel certainly provided this within walking distance of the beach or just laying by the pool bliss To venture further you would need a car
Hotel was very clean the staff were helpful and very efficient.
The lobby bar had no atmosphere, if your were sitting outside on the lobby bar balcony in the evening after ten the lights would go off as they were on a timer. and you were left sitting in the dark. They should stay on until the bar closes
Room was excellent with a very large and comfortable bed. Parking easy. Staff very attentive and friendly. Setting and gardens were immaculate. Pool was perfect.
The room balconies need higher walls to prevent next door overlooking your balcony
