The bathroom is too small No vegetabales and eggs in the morning
Beautifully designed rooms. Breakfast is delicious. The area is very well communicated.
Everything was fine.
The view from our window towards the river, with the sun setting behind the Bridge and the location in a lively and very interesting area. It's a bit like Spitalfields in London or the Meat Packing Distict in Manhattan were at the start of their journey. So good music venues and bars nearby and only five minutes from the newly tarted up river front.
Continental bath, impossible to wash your knees. Rather a small room.
Right next to the market, this quirky little guesthouse was also in an ideal location for lots of local bars and restaurants, and bus and tram links if you want to try to avoid the hills. The breakfast was good with fruit, yoghurt, breads and fresh cooked crepes and cinnamon donut things as well as hams, cheeses, jams etc. The staff were extremely helpful with lots of useful local knowledge.
The area is a little scruffy though definitely on the up and it felt safe. The bath in our room was tiny so not good for a leg-soothing soak after scaling the hills all day!
Everything: nice breakfast, great rooms, excellent wifi connection, location is excellent (near the riverside, close to public transport including subway and ferry), staff is very helpful, available and sympathetic, the free tea / coffee + cake at anytime of the day, everything is so designed as to make you just feel well.
We really liked to stay at Ribeira Tejo, a very nice alternativ to the bigger hotels,a kind of homefeeling. You are very serviceminded . Felize Natal ,God Jul Bengt and Kicki Nilsson
Great location, very close to the metro & good restaurants, bars etc. Friendly, amenable, knowledgeable staff. Great views of the Mercado da Ribeira and the river.
Lack of power points in the room. Tiny, badly designed shower-room NB - as of 16 November 2014, there is a lot of building work going along in the area
Great location within easy walking distance to the centre of town and close to trains and trams. The staff were so friendly and helpful giving us great tips about what to see and the best places to eat. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended
Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice room.
The location is very good and the staff is very helpful. I recommend but take a superior room. Breakfast is amazing if youve got a sweet tooth. Lots of jam, fruits, but just for savoury tooth we had just one type of cheese and ham and not the tastier.
We had a standard room. I think the pictures are not showing reality. We paid 90 euros per room. Thats overpriced I wouldnt pay more than 50 euros for one of those room. They are super tiny, dark, it didnt feel like boutique hôtel at all.
We arrived around 1.30am due to aircraft problem and the staff, who normally leaves at 9pm, stayed to great us with a very warm welcome. This is what I call service and hospitality! We could not wish for more when it comes to service from the staff. The breakfast was also good, with mainly homemade food. Delicious marmalades!
staff was really helpful and gave us a lot of information when we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic with home made products
thin walls so we could hear the neighbours going in and out, but didn't affect our experience
Friendly and professional staff. proximity to touristic areas. breakfast (fresh juice and some home made sweets)
I stayed in this hotel on my very last day and it was indeed a very lovely experience. Even though the surrounding of the hotel is a bit shabby (even though it is actually safe), when when you step into the lobby, you will be very surprised, as if you have found a gem. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even have a personalised map. I love my room! It's a good size and it smells gorgeous. The bathroom is really nice and clean, amenities are good. From my window, I can see the river too. Breakfast is alright. I will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.
I think it is fine to charge for eggs but 2 euros may be a bit steep for a couple of eggs.
From the moment we arrived the staff made us welcome and couldn't be more helpful. When we checked in the member of staff who greeted us took 20 minutes to point out places of interest and ideas on the hotel map.
Larger room, much bettern bed and not hemmed in. Staff are there to make your experience rewarding and memorable
Outside area is often dirty and lots of litter from market and building work accross the road, awkward for taxi.
Location (very central, close to main station and river). Although in a very lively neighbourhood there was no noise at all due to soundproof windows. Very friendly staff, well informed about the highlights of Lissabon. Very nice breakfast! Fruits are for free! Very clean
Can't think of anything I didn't like.
Staff is very friendly and helpful; the atmosphere of the hotel is homy with free cakes and fruits, and the breakfast is very delicious and fresh.
Staff was responsive and attentive. Location next to amazing market.
Great guesthouse in the center of Lisbon. The interior is very nice and lovely presented. All the staff were fantastic and helped with everything from where to eat to where to watch the local "Fado" music. Breakfast was great with a good selection of homemade cakes and fresh fruits and lovely bread. We enjoyed our room with the river view at Ribeira Tejo Guesthouse.
The room was smaller than expected, however it didn't spoil the atmosphere of the guesthouse. The street is next to the market and some bars/clubs so it gets very noisy at the weekends even through 2 sets of double glazing you can hear people shouting through the night. My advice just wear earplugs its will be fine.
I loved the location which gave a mixture of art, history, day to day real life, and wonderful museums, cafes, and historical sites. The staff begins with a review of the area on a map, circling places of interest to see, recommended places to eat, and modes of transportation to get there. The staff was very accommodating in giving information, ordering cabs, and suggesting places to go. They reccommended a great Fado restaurant that I enjoyed on my last night there.
That I had to leave.
Really friendy and very helpful staff. Lovely breakfast spread. Nice touch in offering fruit, cake and hot water facilities for guests all day - compensates for not having tea making facilities in the room. Great location for transport links, lovely Ribeiro market and the food hall.
Near a night club which at the weekends and sometimes during the week gets quite noisy with revellers merry making outside - on Saturday until 6am in the morning. Unfortunately windows do not keep the noise down.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great guest house!!
Nice room, soundproof windows. Very nice bathroom. Staff was very pleasant and trying to make you comfortable.
