Staff is very friendly and helpful; the atmosphere of the hotel is homy with free cakes and fruits, and the breakfast is very delicious and fresh.
Staff was responsive and attentive. Location next to amazing market.
Great guesthouse in the center of Lisbon. The interior is very nice and lovely presented. All the staff were fantastic and helped with everything from where to eat to where to watch the local "Fado" music. Breakfast was great with a good selection of homemade cakes and fresh fruits and lovely bread. We enjoyed our room with the river view at Ribeira Tejo Guesthouse.
The room was smaller than expected, however it didn't spoil the atmosphere of the guesthouse. The street is next to the market and some bars/clubs so it gets very noisy at the weekends even through 2 sets of double glazing you can hear people shouting through the night. My advice just wear earplugs its will be fine.
I loved the location which gave a mixture of art, history, day to day real life, and wonderful museums, cafes, and historical sites. The staff begins with a review of the area on a map, circling places of interest to see, recommended places to eat, and modes of transportation to get there. The staff was very accommodating in giving information, ordering cabs, and suggesting places to go. They reccommended a great Fado restaurant that I enjoyed on my last night there.
That I had to leave.
Really friendy and very helpful staff. Lovely breakfast spread. Nice touch in offering fruit, cake and hot water facilities for guests all day - compensates for not having tea making facilities in the room. Great location for transport links, lovely Ribeiro market and the food hall.
Near a night club which at the weekends and sometimes during the week gets quite noisy with revellers merry making outside - on Saturday until 6am in the morning. Unfortunately windows do not keep the noise down.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great guest house!!
Nice room, soundproof windows. Very nice bathroom. Staff was very pleasant and trying to make you comfortable.
Wonderful location, lovely decor, very helpful staff. Thanks for a good stay!
Location Helpful Staff
Could do with some more storage for visitors staying for a week
Incredibly friendly staff who have re-defined the meaning of customer service. The moment you check in, you are welcomed with coffee, orange juice and delicious portugese cakes. I only stayed for one night and had only one day in Lisbon - the advice given by staff was excellent and realistic. The room was splendid in that it was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent in that you have immediate access to public transport, the waterfront is close by and the historical centre of Lisbon can be easily explored on foot.
the interior design of the place is very well thought through - they incorporated artifacts of the buildings' past with all the modern facilities - the result is a very warm and yet stylish environment the kitchen and office at the attic are homey and inviting and can be used at night for a cup of tea looking out to river the staff is very friendly and accommodating ( hi, Phillip!) they serve pancakes for breakfast with homemade jam - delicious! location is brilliant
the bed is somewhat on the small side, but that is it for negatives
variable breakfast - very friendly reception - beautiful deco - tips on activities / help in practical topics (like having a taxi) - a central situation - a place where to return
the staff was very nice and always helpful, they always made suggestions where to go or where to have dinner etc, made reservations for us and called us a cab when needed. the kitchen was open, so you could always have some coffee or cake and in the refrigerator were water, beer and wine for small money. breakfast was small but good and always filled up.
very central located, but in front of the fishmarket, so you couldn´t sleep with windows open because of the noise. the air conditioner cooled the air but made it also very dry. the mattress was really hard. but all in all it was really nice.
room - large clean and nice decoration. location (very central but good double glazed windows so quiet in the room). staff - Felipe was super helpful! good breakfast. free snacks and drinks.
Staff, comfortable bed, location, across the street from the market which was a happening, fun place in the late evening.
Shoddy appearance of neighbourhood which turned out to be quite pleasant in the evening
Loved sitting on the breakfast terrace eating a very leisurely and fulfilling meal and looking across the valley at the sunlit hillsides. Luxuriated in the pool. A quiet and relaxing location with excellent attentive but unobtrusive staff. Give us more please!
The staf is really friendly and always ready to help you. The hotel is located very close to the public transports and the renovated «Mercado da Ribeira» where you can find very good places to have lunch or dinner. The breakfast with real orange juice and fresh fruit.
The cleaning of the room could be better.
Fantastically helpful & amazing staff Beautiful rooms Excellent location Superb breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff, with good knowledge about the city. Nice building with recovered details from the the old structure. Short way to a underground parking.
All the construction works and scaffolding on the building next to the guest house. May be they are finished in 6-8 months?
Staff were superb. Decent location (which I think will improve) and lovely atmosphere created by the staff.
Convenient place close to the very centre. Lots of atmosphere in this older building, in which guest rooms have been integrated very well. Great care for detail, e. g. explanations in the brochure about the area. Very friendly personnel. Good breakfast. No egg, but freshly made orange juice and delicious jams.
Thank so much for the hotel. The manager Filipe was very careful, the room was fresh, full of light and well -styled. You can take free fresh fruits as well as coffee and tea. The breakfast was good, too.
Outside you can only find it by following the address, but one you get past the gate you find yourself in a different world! It's a lovely, quirky, comfortable guest house in a really good location close to all the public transports. The staff were lovely and helpful and the room was spacious, comfortable and well looked after. Can't fault it at all.
Staff was great. Spent time with us telling us what to see and do in Lisbon. Everything was great
When you first arrive you think it is a sketchy area but it actually isn't. The market and closeness to everything is fantastic.
A super friendly reception person, made us feel truly welcome from the first moment onwards. Our family room a spacious, with beautiful Portuguese decor and good size bathroom. Beds big and comfortable. Highly recommended.
