Stayed in Riomar last year, this time it was our second time. We really like the hotel, the location is just great! views from the room are amazing! totes in Love :) Staff is very helpful with perfect english!
I know that there's plenty of beaches around Lagos and sure they aren't so far away, but if this hotel would have a swimming pool then that would be just amazing! The hotel could do something extra, different for breakfast, not only the usual.
The bedrooms were not the cleanest, dirty floors. It was very noisy, revellers kept me awake every night normally till 4am
Loud night life till Sun Up.
The hotel was well located, close to restaurants and bars.
There was no wi-fi in the room as advertised. The beds were not comfortable. The breakfast was ok.
Location is great. Air con works well and breakfast is good
Wifi didn't work in room. One staff member was very rude throughout stay there.
Nothing good to say about this hotel - 1* .
Furniture has a bad guality, air conditioning is old, noisy and smelly.Noise streets, we soundproofed rooms, with balcony very small. Old TV. It can charge your phone or camera, if you remove the TV from the power outlet. Breakfast poor. Parking is 1 km and the public.
Patios on the street side are amazing, but it can be noisy until the early hours of the morning.
Small, not very clean, uncomfortable beds, prices too high, and the rooms have little sound proof.
Friendly staff, breakfast ok, very central location, good WLAN in the lobby
-We booked only 1 day before our arrival and were lucky that we found a room in August. That's why we got one the really small rooms without balcony and little stinky bathroom. Pretty disappointing and unfair because that room costs the same but isn't as good as the other rooms with balcony. At least we could change our room after 2 nights. -w-LAN: bad signal in room
It is a real hotel, a professional standard hotel. Nice lobbey. The breakfast wasn't super, but it must have been approved since other peoples recommendations. It had eggs, fruits, cereal, bread (two kinds), cheese, jam, ham, juice, coffee and tea. We had a great balcony. It is located near everything in the very center of town.
There was almost no wifi on the fifth floor and they knew about it. It shouldn't be so hard to place another router there since it was a known problem. It worked fine in the lobbey though.
In the center . Close to the shops.
The noise in the street . All the night untill 4 in the morning . Impossible to sleep.
Location, breakfast, staff, the bed, everything!
The staff, the price of accommodation. Breakfast, if that's what you call it. Terrible!!!
Good service. Clean bedroom etc. Good breakfast. Situated in the centre of Lagos.
The noise from the street outside at night was terrible. Had 3 very disruptive nights sleep and asked to change room for the remaining 2 nights so slept better. Would not recommend staying at this hotel during month of August as very noisy at night time and lots of drunk end people shouting and fighting on the street outside hotel. Maybe it's better during other months of the year to stay there.
no pool poor breakfast bad wifi only 6 parkings in front of the hotel
Heart of Old City
Sleepless nights. Lucky Dip if Air Conditioning works. Is a must. Rock beds.
Rooms are noisy with drunk people shouting in the street until 3 am. Rooms are bArely cleaned. Pillow not confortable, matress too rigid. Bathrooms smeels badly and hairdrier didn't work. Breakfast nothing special, cofee ham and cheese were tasteless, floor of the breakfast room was dirty. No parking.
We stayed at Hotel Riomar for 3 nights and were happy with the room. Great central location.
The challenge of the central location is the bars below can often have people making noise in the early hours of the morning.
the old town is near
some noisy nights (teenagers passing night clubs)
Cleanliness, staff helpful.
Wifi not accessible from room. Night revellers noisy all night long.
The internet was not available in all rooms as advertised. The screech of the seagulls was unbearable, but not the fault of the hotel.
Simple hotel with a central location, friendly staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. Air conditioners work great and the balconies on the top floor have a great view.
WiFi doesn't work in many of the rooms but it is great in the lobby. Gets quite loud at night from all the partying on the street, but that's not their fault.
Location was excellent but there were couple bars on the street so late night the area was quite noisy. The beach is close, shops are close. Tidy and clean room. Nice and friendly staff.
Bed was not comfortable. Breakfast poor.
Centrally located in the old town, good value for money, decent beds and comfort
tough to park really close, noise till 4am from the backpackers/animals from the hostels and bars in the same street, breakfast a bit limited
Very noisy from people all hours of the night
Clean rooms, good air con. Central location.
Terrible breakfast, very loud as you are on a main street lots of loud drunk people out in the street and in the hotel. Not somewhere to stay if you are a light sleeper! Reception slow and unhelpful. WIFI very temperamental.
