Rocamar Beach Hotel & Spa  

The location is perfect for beach and short stroll into town for bars and restaurants. Hotel looks modern...rooms large and clean. Staff very good breakfast good selection and good quality. Lovely hotel to stay at.

The beach view from the room, although we were looking onto a large gate, the location in relation to the beach and the old town was fantastic, if you are not good on the pins, it is ideal, not too much walking. Breakfast very good, friendly staff, no complaints whatso ever. The only thing they dont provide is the weather, unfortunately!!

Excellent value for money if you want just a break or a full holiday , fantastic view , foods not to bad (could be better ) , perfect location -5 mins from town, just far enough away that you cant hear the bars from Old Town Alburfeira - over all an excellent stay

The best thing about the Rocamar was it's fantastic location, directly above the beach. We had fabulous views of the beach from our balcony and from the hotel bar and to get down to the beach itself took less than 5 minutes - either by gently sloping path, steps or lift. The hotel was spotlessly clean and seemed newly refurbished, all the staff we met were very efficient and polite and our room was lovely, spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet successfully catered to all tastes with British and German/Dutch style buffet choices available. In the evenings, again the location was brilliant with nice restaurants and bars just around the corner although the hotel was in a quiet street. Can't recommend it highly enough.

The only thing that marred our otherwise perfect stay was that our room was directly underneath the swimming pool and there was quite a lot of noise generated by the sun loungers being blown around by the wind during the night. We reported this when we checked out (we were only there for the weekend and our room was lovely otherwise) and the receptionist told us that the hotel were aware of it and were taking steps to store the furniture at night and resolve the problem. There was nothing else we didn't like!

I was very very disappointed with the size of the room, especially the bathroom which amounted to nothing more then a broom cupboard with a very small shower cubicle and very very little room for using the facilities in the bathroom - the bathroom door did not open fully but hit the toilet first - the sink was just about big enough to brush your teeth. The public and communial areas were really nice and the food was very good. The pool area again was clean but not many sun beds and the bar was not manned when times indicated it would be. The location is good and views excellent but when you pay for an executive room - you expect a lot better facilities in the room. I intend to write a letter of complaint regarding the booking for executive room when the only difference was a sea view - whilst nice not worth the extra cost ax the room facilities were the same

Having towels provided would have been a huge plus, even if we had to rent then for the day. Visiting from across the world, it would be difficult to pack big beach or pool towels but I would expect the hotel with a pool and on the beach to have them available to guests. Breakfast could also use big improvements. No refrigerator even though one was promised when making the reservation.

Locación was perfect to visit the beach and albufeira downtown.

Our room has the windows next to the pool so we had to close the courtains all the time in order to have some privacy. We had the face of the people 20 cm close to our window. Orange juice was awful and so was the coffe.Fresh fruit was missing. Parking was a matter of luck.
