Rocamar Beach Hotel & Spa  

The hotel is very close to the beach, approx 5mins walking distance, which meant that it wasn't a problem when returning from the beach with wet clothes. The staff are friendly, polite and not overbearing as they pretty much leave you alone to enjoy your holiday and the rooms were very clean with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. There were a few resturants nearby, however public transport around the area was quite tricky and there was no indication of where to catch a bus or taxi, so we felt quite limited as to where we could go.

I wasn't too keen onthe fact that our hotel room window looked out onto the swimming pool, as it was quite disturbing to open the cutrains and see someone sunbathing about 8inches away from your window. However, once we had walked outside to the swimming pool area, we could confirm that our window was made out of blackout glass, so we were able to look out onto the pool area, but no one was able to look in

Having towels provided would have been a huge plus, even if we had to rent then for the day. Visiting from across the world, it would be difficult to pack big beach or pool towels but I would expect the hotel with a pool and on the beach to have them available to guests. Breakfast could also use big improvements. No refrigerator even though one was promised when making the reservation.

Fantastic location. Nice modern hotel. Good service. Good value for the money.

Most of the staff were excellant, friendly and helpful, although the male reception staff who settled our bill was cold, unfriendly and not helpful which made it a shame. He was the only staff member we encountered like this. Also, would be nice to have tea making facilities in the room.

Made a return trip to rocamar ,hotel spotless clean,staff very pleasent n helpful, friend couldnt understannd why not a 4 star,,breakfast 7.5-8 /10,, [didnt have evn.meals] triffic views,but poolside rooms 3rd floor would be a problem! -Others xcellent

Breakfast was not good

We loved this hotel, location superb, on the beach and close to old town.Views are amazing and lovely pool on third floor overlooking beach. Staff were so friendly especially alexandre goweya on reception and tiago martins on bar and terrace. Rooms were clean and comfortable with nice comfy beds and two pillows and very clean we would recommend this for a short or longer stay. excellent for long walks on the beach and surrounding albufeira. we loved it so much we want to stay here again soon and expect everybody to have a lovely time heregreat for couples and families. old town is lovely with lots of little shops and restaurants and bars nearby. quick transfer from airport just over 30 minutes superb go and stay here!.

it was all great here especially when you think its 3 star we found it felt like 5 star because of friendly staff and brilliant location

Excellent value for money if you want just a break or a full holiday , fantastic view , foods not to bad (could be better ) , perfect location -5 mins from town, just far enough away that you cant hear the bars from Old Town Alburfeira - over all an excellent stay

Beautiful hotel, right on the beach and really handy for Albufeira old town. Could not fault the hotel - we had a fabulous room overlooking the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

I was very very disappointed with the size of the room, especially the bathroom which amounted to nothing more then a broom cupboard with a very small shower cubicle and very very little room for using the facilities in the bathroom - the bathroom door did not open fully but hit the toilet first - the sink was just about big enough to brush your teeth. The public and communial areas were really nice and the food was very good. The pool area again was clean but not many sun beds and the bar was not manned when times indicated it would be. The location is good and views excellent but when you pay for an executive room - you expect a lot better facilities in the room. I intend to write a letter of complaint regarding the booking for executive room when the only difference was a sea view - whilst nice not worth the extra cost ax the room facilities were the same

The hotel is nice clean tidy and in an excellant position, I would not hesitate to stay again.

It would feel nice to be welcomed to breakfast whatever time you reach the restaurant, during the last half hour food options,glasses and condiments were not replaced. If you asked for anything the staff reluctantly obliged.
