Rocha Brava Village Resort    

Great resort for a quiet holiday. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped for self catering. The pools were well kept and staff friendly

Situation

We had to change the apartment that we booked and they upgraded us to a two bedroom sea view house. It was beautiful

The picture that was on Booking.com was not what we got. We looked with another couple approximately 6 apartments none of them were of the standard of the accommodation on Booking.com. All the accommodation is privately owned and the standards vary hugely. The resort itself is beautiful, but be very very careful with accommodation as what you book could not be what you get. We stayed there in low season so we could be changed around but high season could be a different story

the Staff are super.

No high rise buildings, lots of green area, towels changed and apartment cleaned every day.

It was a 10 minute walk to beach and 25 minute walk to village.

Great bungalows , spotlessly clean , all facilities provided for self catering , supermarket on site

No wine glasses in kitchen otherwise it was excellent !

Easy to find, close to facilities but far enough for peace and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Already booked another stay later in year.

That I didn't stay for longer!!!

Very good value, very easy to book in, and apartment was very well appointed.

Nothing, got exactly what I was expecting.

It is large village with a lot of apartments and villas. There were 3 pools, supermarket, some places to eat and to spend your time. No problems with parking near your apartment. Rooms were clean, a lot of kitchenware, dishes and all needed instruments to spend a week or more. Beds were comfortable. We had a garden view and a terrace to spend our mornings. Everyday, except sundays our apartments were cleaned, so it was very clean. I believe we had good stay with fair value for money. Enviroment was nice to watch, we had some walks around our apartments and they were interesting. Also there is beautiful city Carvoeiro to spend your evenings - a lot of restaurants and bars, nice beach and colourful streets to walk in the night.

A lot of ants in apartments!!! It was harassing to exterminating them all the time. It was inpossible to leave food on the tables, because ants were here in a moment. We had them everywhere - kitchen, bathroom, bedroom.. If there were no ants - it would be perfect stay. No free internet - wifi and wired internet is paid, and only available at reception.

Excellent location; very green, quitet & peaceful which makes up for all inconviniences. I recommend the place.

There is in fact only one "real" swimming pool + with no ocean view as in the desription. The other two are of private size. The accomodation is definitely not the 4-star standard.

Tennis facilities, pools.

Restaurants had good food but the service was very poor - anything up to 90-120 minutes to get a meal on occasions!

Perfect for families with young children. Good food all around and very helpful staff. A big complex with shops and restaurants all within a short hop and, of course, the all-important sun smiles down. Although the village is out of town you can book the full range of trips and excursions at reception and transport to and from resort will be arranged for a charge so no need to hire a car unless you want to go touring.

A nice place run by nice people however travellers should note that the swimming pool is not wheelchair-friendly. There are tennis courts and a small gym on site, but the use of these is charged extra.There is a creche type kids club for younger children but there are no organised on-site entertainment or sport facilies or activities that would engage older children. .

Excellent facilities, super staff and lovely villa.

We enjoyed the design and the layout of the village, the breakfast was good, the pools were well maintained and there were several of them, it was picturesque and the gardens were fairly well laid out although not extremely well maintained. It was easy to find peace and relax there. Room service was pretty prompt when asked for. The apartment was a generous size, with a good balcony.

Ants, ants and more ants. Towels were flimsy and not replaced regularly, it would have been nice if beach towels were provided as the logistics of packing such a heavy-ish item meant that we had to purchase a towel each from the local resort (35 euro). On the day before we left the room was not visited by the cleaners, but we did receive a reminder that this was our last day. A deposit was required for a hair dryer and we had to wait for two days before we received one.

Great pool facilities, villa was spacious, fantastic location in the heart of the Algarve.

Villa was not luxurious, although very spacious. Had to buy pool towels which would have been good to know ahead of time, or even better if they were supplied by the resort.

Peace, relaxing, batonger,tennis

It was very child friendly lovely restaurants and beaches near by.

Can be a bit windy as on mountainside.

I loved staying at the Rocha Brava. The apartment was clean and was way more than we needed for a weekend. The resort was located in close enough proximity to the downtown area as well as the beaches that we really didn't spend much time there. We ate most of our meals at the coffee shop cafe though because the food was so good! The service was excellent as well. Reception desk was very friendly and helpful when we did have questions for them.

I didn't like that we never took advantage of the pools. It was just too pretty at the beach to leave and hang out at the pool!

Gostamos imenso da urbanização, especialmente da limpeza dos espaços verdes e de toda a envolvente, da proximidade ao mar, boas acomodações, boa relação qualidade preço (Junho), óptimo para crianças pequenas e zona da piscina principal muito atractiva.

Adorei a localização e o silêncio.

Verzorgd, complete uitzet, dagelijkse schoonmaak. Bij een defecte boiler werden we zeer vriendelijk en nog diezelfde dag geholpen.

Inrichting gedateerd. Tot 2x toe probleem met de boiler en de wasmachine was kapot, tijd voor vervanging? We werden wel direct geholpen bij de reparatie.
