Located on a cliff top, Rocha Brava is just 3 km east of Carvoeiro, which is a charming fishing village right in the heart of the Algarve. The nearest beach is only 950 metres away from the hotel. Surrounded by well cared gardens, we offer well furnished and decorated apartments and villas.

They are equipped with satellite TV, a washing machine and electric heating in all rooms. Our luxury units have a magnificent ocean view and are equipped with a dishwasher and a microwave.

We offer special prices in the months of September and October.

Hotel information

The 23 acre complex offers 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts, a gymnasium, a beauty salon and a game room. There is also a coffee shop, a restaurant, plus bars and a supermarket. Keep the children busy with the entertainment aimed at 4 to 12 year olds, from May till the end of September.

The hotel provides free transport 3 times a day to the beach and Carvoeiro.

There is a 24-hour reception for safe rental, telephone, fax, and internet services, assistance with excursions, money exchange and babysitting.

Food & beverage

Children from 2 up to 11 years old get a 50% reduction for breakfast and half board pension.
We also suggest you pay a visit to our restaurant O Farol, the supermarket and our bars.

Room information

T1 Standard (one bedroom apartment):
Consisting of lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and balcony with garden view. Maximum capacity for 3 people (convertible bed in the lounge for the 3rd person).

T2 Standard (two bedroom apartment):
Identical to the above mentioned, with an additional bedroom. Some have a terrace or balcony. Maximum capacity for 4 people.

V2 Standard (two bedroom villa):
This unit, bungalow type, differs from the previous one due to an additional bathroom ensuite and a roof terrace. Maximum capacity for 5 people (convertible bed in the lounge for the 5th person).

V3 Standard (Three bedroom villa):
Identical to the V2 type, with an additional bedroom. Maximum capacity for 7 people (convertible bed in the lounge for the 7th person).

All the standard units offer a washing machine and satellite TV.

Luxury Units:
These units distinguish themselves from the standard ones because of the advantage of spectacular sea views, and their furnishings and equipment of high standard quality; such as the kitchens, which, besides the usual equipment as in the standard units, have a washing machine, a dishwasher and a microwave available.

T1L (one bedroom luxury apartment):
Comprises of lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and terrace. Maximum capacity: 3 people (convertible bed in the lounge for the 3rd person).

V2L (two bedroom luxury villa):
Comprises of lounge, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 is en-suite) and terrace. Maximum capacity: 5 people (convertible bed in the lounge for the 5th person).

The furniture was old and required updating the smelt musty . I used Rocha Brava for what was supposedly a luxury 3 night stay at approx 250 Euro per night I expected far less than I expected.

The terrace which should have been a great attraction in the villa overlooking the sea has not been cleaned for weeks therefor unuseable.

Proximity to local town for restaurants and shopping. Ocean view, Ambience of hotel location and setting, hotel cleanliness.

Our unit had a very small old television which had poor reception quality. To me this was unnaceptable for a 4 star hotel apartment.

We liked the fire place, kitchenette, the space for 4 people.

There was a smell outside the master bedroom that came into the ebdroom especially strong at night. Also, the greatrestaurant Farol at the hotel side was not open due to renovation. However, we were not notified of the fact that was closed and didn;t prepare for breakfast properly.

Having a sea view. Complex was a bit dated but grounds well maintained. Not really 4 star accomodation but comfortable and clean.

6 euros every time you wanted to use the gym. Most hotel give that for free. Otherwise a nice place to stay. Lovely and peaceful.

The garden and pool areas were very beautiful, also the atmosphere of the area was very relaxing and peaceful.

The furnitures of the apartment were quite scuffied and would need to be replaced.

The location of the Rocha Brava Apartments was great. We liked the space in the T2 unit and the open terrace upstairs. Beautiful place!

We didn;t get room service (all we needed was clean towels) on Sunday.
