Hotel Club d'Azeitao    

We stayed at 9 hotels in Portugal and Spain and this was by far the best. The staff were really helpful and friendly, the place itself is interesting in its layout and history.Luiz , the receptionist saved our holiday by loaning us a phone charger which I had forgot to pack! We had great conversations with him about Portugal and we felt very comfortable there. The meals at the hotel restaurant were the best I had during the holiday.

The worst thing about this place is having to leave it ! Still one can always come back . We found it a little hard to find at first- the gps didn't show it . I think it is easier to get to from Lisbon via the old (shorter) bridge. If you can get to Azeito it is fairly easy. Going through Setubal was confusing for us.

Natural surroundings

The best value 4 star hotel we have stayed in, nothing was too much trouble, excellent facilities set in a delightful Portuguese type mansion house.

Breakfast buffet ( hot) was cold, Needed to be re heated.

The hotel was originally built as a (small) palace and thus reflected in its decor and atmosphere. It was a very quiet location, with spacious, open grounds. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable selection of food.

Value, ambience, surroundings, pool, breakfast

we had A super 50th wedding anniversary there and it was well laid out, in gold, excellent food and great service, keep up the standard. the location and the grounds are big and you can walk around or swim in the large pool.

I personally believe that the staff at checkin should be more helpfull and give details about the facilities, such as the swimming pool and other facilities at the hotel.

The landscaped gardens were beautiful and we dined in the large, plant and flower-filled conservatory, which was a lovely setting for a meal. The area is lovely and quiet for a weekend break away, to just walk in the gardens, read a book under a palm tree, or take a swim. The bathroom had an original azulejo ceramic sink and the bath was big enough to lie in (quite rare in Portuguese hotels, I have found from experience). We visited the Cheese Museum nearby, which no longer produces cheese, but the history of Azeitao cheese-making was worth the visit and the tasting of a locally produced Moscatel was pretty nice. The fountained, gated entrance is very pleasant and the building is beautiful, with typical azulejo tiles and a grand feel to the place - it could easily be a pousada, but at a much lower price. And the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The one disappointment was the breakfast. The eggs (scrambled and fried) were stone cold, although it had an ok range of choices: cereals, bread, cakes, fruit, fruit juices, coffee, ham, cheese, but it had a basic, tired feel to it. But other hotels in Portugal offer some great breakfasts, so I expected a little more choice and for the hot food to be served hot.

Spacious and very clean rooms /excellent beds. Furniture a bit old fashioned. The hotel looks like a pousada but needs some renovation/ some paint. We don't recommend the restaurant for dinner but breakfast was excellent. Eggs, bacon, crêpes... Good restaurants nearby in village (crossing the road and down the steps) or in Vila Nogueira de Azeitao Good location to discover nature (serra da arrabida) beaches (sesimbra) city of Lisboa and we even went tot Sintra.

Is a cheap 4 star hotel. Has a great swim pool, but was dirty in our 1st day. They told us that borrow us a bike, but only for use inside the hotel, and inside the hotel means a 200 metres road, for go to the pool and came back for the hotel. They can borrow or rent some bikes and their clients can make a ride in Azeitão or Arrábida. Our room is small.

Nice place, convenient location for visits around the Setúbal peninsula, quiet, with facilities (swimming pool & tennis courts)

The staff, the ambience, the colorful flavor of portugal, the touch of flowers in almost every corner, the "princess style" room, food -- what not to like. A total oasis. There is alot to do in the immediate area as well as 10 kilometers away. Loved it

Gostei de tudo, particularmente do espaço exterior e do edifício. Excelente hotel para descansar e relaxar muito perto de Lisboa. Excelente relação qualidade preço.

No geral, de tudo. Boas condições em termos de alojamento, bom pequeno-almoço, simpatia do pessoal.

Apresenta alguns sinais de desgaste nomeadamente nas alcatifas dos corredores

El paraje, sin duda es especial, tanto por tener una playa tranquila a apenas 20 min en coche, como por adentrarte luego en un parque natural como el de la Arrábida, desde cuya cima hay unas vistas preciosas del mar.

Pequeno-almoço... Na estadia anterior ( 7/12 ) gostei de tudo... Não tenho nada a apontar mesmo!

Já tinha estado neste hotel anteriormente e gostei imenso...mas desta vez fiquei um bocadinho desapontada... O quarto era bem diferente do primeiro, um cheiro a mofo assim que se entrou (parecia que o quarto não era usado, nem arejado há anos!) o mobiliário velho... A limpeza também deixou muito a desejar (o fio do telefone tinha cotão aos montes, estava uma vergonha mesmo para um hotel como este...) não percebo se cuidam mais de uns quartos do que de outros ou se o cuidado com os quartos e a qualidade do atendimento variam conforme a época do ano... Realmente não parecia o mesmo hotel onde tinha estado nem à 1 ano atrás! :(

Não gostei que da fatura não constasse o meu número de contribuinte, mesmo sabendo que não pedi a sua introdução. Mesmo assim acho que deveriam perguntar ao hóspede se o pretendia no momento do pagamento
