It is very close to the Metro making it very easy to get into the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast dining room staff was very sharp. Some of the most professional workers I have experienced. Extremely effiencient with the high volume of people. Food never ran out and it was always presented well. It never looked picked over. I asked the front desk the best way to get to the hotel to pick up a friend. The first suggestion was a personal hire car for 90 Euro. Then a taxi at 25 - 50 Euro. I rememeber reading about an airport bus. I asked about this and it turns out the stop is steps from the hotel and only costs 3.50 return. Strange that this was not the first option! It only took 20 minutes in rush hour!!

The Sana Lisboa is ideally located for getting about in Lisbon, close to city bus tours and the Metro station. Very easy, quick and cheap to get to and from the airport.the hotel is modern with an open contemporary feel with touches of luxury as you sinkinto the carpets in the wide corridors. Great large comfy beds with quality bed linen, handy ice bucket with ice machines in each floor made our too short a stay very enjoyable. Not to forget the beautiful spa area. Flat screen tv and tea/coffee making facilitiesin the bedrooms would be a good addition.

This is a fine hotel, very good value for money. Our room was large and comfortable, very well decorated. Staff are very helpful and courteous. The breakfast buffet is very substantial and tasty. Nice gym and sauna/steam room/jaucuzzi - could do with a swimming pool perhaps. The hotel is close to the metro and relatively central, within walking distance of the Avenida da Liberdade. Watch the details on your bill. We were initially billed for 36 euro worth of mini-bar charges, when we never touched the mini-bar, and for two days of parking when we had returned our rental car after one day. When we pointed out these errors, staff corrected these immediately.

The best hotel I can imagine for a perfect holiday. Very comfortable, clean, tasteful, with great breakfast and most importantly terrific staff. The friendliness of staff here is not an occasional exception or a question of good or bad luck as it often is even in "good" hotels. It is a rule here that reception staff as well as breakfast and bar staff approach guests with genuine and warm friendliness and always take time to help as much as they can, far beyond what they have to do. Even the pianist playing for guests every evening is smiling at you as you walk in. This place is a real find. I stay in various hotels almost every week for work and it is a real exception to come across a place this friendly. If you need to consult something about your booking prior to arrival, they immediately respond to emails (not as common as it may seem) and provide efficient help. We actually extended our stay in Lisbon, that was how much we enjoyed our time there.

Very good breakfast buffet, near subway station (5 minutes walk), near airport bus stop (1 minute walk). This is not about the hotel itself but, airport-bus which departs from very near the hotel is not useful. Very few service (every 20-30 minutes). And when I was waiting for the bus at the stop, 2 busses passed us without stopping and no sign, because of full passengers (I guess so). At last we took a taxi around the bus stop but we found that the taxi fare was cheaper than bus fare in case of more than 2 people.

The 4 star hotel is located in Av Fontes Pereira de Melo. The staff speak English & are friendly. The bus stop is around 1 minute walk from the hotel. The shopping area Rossio can be reached in 10 mins by bus or taxi (around 30 mins walk). The restaurants across the hotel are average in food, service & expensive compared to other restaurants in the city. The hotel is clean, family friendly, with large rooms & a good view to the castle. We opted for a family suite on the 12th floor. The kids loved the cookies & milk that was provided complimentary every evening. The airport bus Aerobus, route 1 City Centre & will drop you across the hotel. The charge is Euro 3.5 for adults and Euro 2 for kids, the bus will drop you across the road, you just need to cross the road. The telephone calls are expensive from the hotel, better to make local calls from outside the hotel. Overall the family enjoyed the stay! The buffet breakfast is good but the same spread everyday. At first it was nice but after the 3rd day it got boring, with no change in menu. We stayed there for over 8 days & were expecting a change in menu atleast once, but no. The tel calls made from hotel to local mobile phones are expensive. The hotel doesnt provide an adaptor, so take your own 2 pin adaptor or fuse, for charging your phone or camera.

Thought the hotel decor and facilities were very nice and modern, breakfast was good. Location for getting to and from airport is very convenient. The jacuzzi was also very nice. I thought the prices at the hotel bar were ridiculously expensive. We coudnt afford to have a drink there. Coming from Ireland where most people drink a lot of tea instead of coffee I was shocked that a cup of tea cost €4, ended up walking 1km up the road to eventually get a cup of tea from a street kiosk at €1.50.

The hotel lived up to its reviews. It was very clean, excellently located for bus and metro. Our room was small but well appointed, with a firm wide bed. Crisp sheets, towels and a sparkling bathroom. Breakfast was fresh, with a variety of foods, tasty and plentiful. The only thing missing was a kettle and tea or coffee in the room.

Excellent location and comfortable rooms. The hotel is a few metres from Marques de Pombal Metro station and withing walking distance of the City Centre if you have the time and energy. It was a pity that there was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. For a hotel of this class this is unusual and rather disappointing.

While the bed was the hardest I have ever experienced (a soft top mattress would help!). The food in the evening restuarant was most specular. Very well cooked and with exquisite taste. The service was also most curteous and attentive.

This hotel is in a perfect location in a very nice part of town and within 20 minutes walking distance from downtown Lisbon or you can catch the Metro which is only around the corner from the hotel. It is actually a very nice walk into the city centre with very expensive shops to do a spot of window shopping on the way in! The hotel itself is very nice. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast is the morning was very good with a great selection which is constantly being topped up all of the time, so no one misses out on anything! The only one negative that I would say is with regards to the cost of parking! It was almost €15.00 per day to park your car at the hotel which I thought is extremely expensive as the hotel does have lots of parking available. In Lisbon, you really do not need a car as everything is within walking distance or you can grab the trams, especially tram 28 to see all of the main sights!

Very nice hotel, located on the top of Lisbon's most famous upscale shopping street. The center is reachable in 20 minutes on foot, metro station (taking you directly to the center or the trains station) and bus station (going directly to the airport) are just in front of the hotel. The stuff is excellent, room clean and comfortable, room service fast and precise, breakfast of a top quality. Recommendation in every aspect.

The room at the hotel was lovely, and kept very clean. The bathroom was nice- there were speakers in there from the tv which was fab. Breakfast was good too, lots on offer, and the waitors were very helpful. The reception women were not friendly at all. Especially one of them, she did not smile or go out of her way to welcome us on check in which we found remarkable. She alone would put us off returning to the hotel.Re parking, on booking it says you pay £15.50 per day, but no where, not on booking, in the hotel or car park, does it say you have to get reception to validate your card. It cost us £30 to park overnight, as we didn't know to validate the card. Receptionist wasn't apologetic at all. Word of warning- go to reception to validate the parking card before paying! Also, there are no parking signs so you must get the porter to park the car and follow your nose.
