SANA Lisboa Hotel    

The hotel staff (receptionist, bell boy, restaurant staff) were all friendly, efficient and courteous. It is very close to the public transport links and was a short walk from my conference centre. The location was very convenient both for the business purpose as well sight seeing. The breakfast buffet had quite an extensive choice and had both hot cooked and cold cuts of meat as well as continental breakfast with a wide variety of pastries. Very close to other eating out places so it was not necessary to depend on the hotel food for lunch and dinner - but looks like the food is competitively priced with the other places. The staff offered to book a return taxi to the airport using a voucher (15euros) which was convenient as well. If people are leaving early they also have an early morning coffee station with pastries and beverages. The free WiFi was the deal clencher for me and it worked fine. The room is a good size with a decent bathroom. The decor was modern and the room itself was clean and tidy. Even with little ones it is quite convenient as the King Edward VII park is just outside and therefore a good place to get the little ones to blow off the extra energy without much danger of doing harm. The Aerobus from the airport stops very close to the hotel and if one is travelling light makes economical sense during the day. The ice machine was a definite plus and the air conditioning worked fine.

Could possibly offer tea and coffee making facilities - I guess we are too used to having an opportunity to make a quick cup of tea. An iron in the room is another consideration.

Would not give regular bit of water to take a tablet - had to buy a bottle!

Amazing breakfast

The breakfast was the best I have seen, extensive assortment, fresh and good quality. The beds were a little hard however comfortable. Close to the city buses tours an metro.

The ancient tube TV. I don't understand why a 4 star hotel has such TVs in the rooms.

The value for price. Friendly staff at the reception and breakfast buffet. The comfort of its bathroom.

The TV is the old 14/17" tube type. The mattress wasn't comfortable. Street noises and wind can heard at night, weak isolation. No affiliation to any airline programs.

Location is very convenient. Nothing special but solid 4 stars and good value for money.

Excellent décor and very good value for money

The prawn starter for dinner left me very unwell for 3 days after the visit. Suggest the hotel may want to look at how they serve this prawn dish. I would suggest peeled and cleaned as apposed to in its shell. It did ruin my break. But it can happen with shell fish.

I really liked the room: just right size for two travelers, nice bathroom, beautiful view on the historical part of the city, very quiet. It was easy to travel by metro, although walking to the center was doable. I liked breakfast with fresh fruits too. Decoration of the room and in the hallways is modern style, but not at all irritating.

Orange juice from concentrate tasted awfully. The rest of food for breakfast was very good.

Uncomfortable bed like sleeping on a table. I am sure there must have been previous complaints which were ignored. could not get a decent cup of tea as the water was only luke warm not boiling. Food meant to be hot was cold even at 9 oclock. Perhaps a member of staff could be allocated to monitor the situation. staff could be better employed monitoring the quality of food instead of removing dishes before the guests are finished with.

Staff were excellent and knowledgable. Short walk to Metro, Barrio Alto walkable distance. Bed was firm which was very good and free wifi which worked very well.
