Its ambiance. Courteous and helpful staff. Location. Joint use of Royal Savoy facilities. Sea view. Cost of room service (extra 5 Euros on every order). High prices didn't encourage staying in the hotel for drinks, meals or snacks. |

We booked at short notice and the staff were excellent in helping us see Madeira with only a three day stay on the island. The old style service is to be commended, Unfortunately this hotel is to be knocked down and rebuilt so we will not have another chance to stay. |

The friendly staff and the good restaurants in the vicinity. The breakfasts were excellent but the dinners were expensive and in my opinion not great value. |

Service var rigtig god. Men hotellet er en falmet skønhed, og det er helt urimeligt og misvisende at kalde det et 5-stjernet hotel. 3-stjernet er det højeste. Vi klagede strax og blev upgradet til en suite uden videre problemer. Det er de vist vant til. Total modernisering, eller riv det ned, sådan som det vist også er planen. |
