The location was perfect. The staff was friendly. The price (off season) was reasonable. The environment was kid friendly. Hotel guests were pleasant but not overly friendly...everybody kept very much to themselves. Ancillary services, food, and drink were very expensive.

relaxing feel ,plenty of areas to sunbathe whether on the manicured lawns or on the beach or by the pools.all the food we ate at the different restaurants were to a high standard.and served by pleasant staff. did not agree with cover charges .tennis charges were too high, quieter pool area for adults required.

Large room and balcony, good food, nice indoor pool that you can actually swim in. I came for 1 night and extended my stay twice with 2 nights each because I liked the place. Considering all the services and the overall quality it is actually not that expensive. Very small whisky selection in restaurant. Dinners can be a bit expensive.

Proximity to airport; beach location; comfortable room and good room rate. The on site restaurants are expensive and service is variable e.g. it seemed to depend on the waiter whether or not bread and olives were included in the cover charge. Bar service is slow.

The grounds are fantastic, the facilities are well kept and generally child friendly. The staff are great towards the children, the resort is not too large to feel like your just one of the hundreds on a package. Room was reasonable size, BE CAREFUL resort view means view of the car park The food is below average, in fact McDonalds could shake a stick at it. It felt like volume American food and was confirmed when a Makro van delivered frozen foods despite the restaurant staff repeatedly assuring us the food was NOT frozen. This was a great disappointment and the local restaurants in the vicinity are also mediocre. Lots of stuffy golfers disappointed at seeing our daughter enjoying herself which actually enhanced my enjoyment!!! This place stinks of nouveau rich

The Sheraton is a great hotel and deserves its five stars. We were looking for a place that does not have the package holiday feel to it and we are satisfied in this respect, no 'towel fights' at the pool and plenty of breathing space throughout the resort The beach is almost private, a outcrop of rock separates it from the crowded Albufeira and you can walk for miles towards Vilamoura in the east. Rooms are spacious, beds are extremely comfy and the tile decoration at the bed-head has a nice local feel. It's nice to be able to have breakfast outside, service is always extremely attentive and setting of the restaurants is nice. All facilities of Pine Cliffs resort can be used as well, which brings a great choice of pools and restaurants The restaurants are too expensive for their quality - we had only one dinner in the hotel, in Il giardino, where mains are about 25-30 Euros, my meat was overcooked and the vegetables were not salted at all. Lunches are cheaper (Pizza Margherita 14 Euros, Pasta 16 Euros, Sandwiches ca. 14-16 Euros) and the setting is nice is Corda Café or o Pescador, but quality ranges from supermarket frozen shelf to mediocre. They should get a good chef reviewing and updating their menues to bring the restaurants to the same 5 star level than the rest of the hotel. There also should be genuine freshly squeezed orange juice, not the pseudo bottled 'freshly squeezed' one. Cuisine should probably emphasize local products a bit more, the lunch sandwiches were clearly targeted at a British clientele and in off-season not much else was available. Bathrooms need a renovation, ours had broken tiles and shower curtains are also not state of the art anymore. They are selling flats at the adjacent Pine Cliffs resort, we got both a letter and a phone call pitching this while we were, one of them is more than enough

Excellent hotel and location, good restaurants and service. if you have a small baby, the path to the beach may be a bit uncomfortable - you have to leave the stroller at the lift due numerous steps on the way to the beach.

The only thing good is the location next to the beach but there are a lot better hotels near by so don´t bother. The hotel was very old and would need some renovation. In my opinion this is not a 5 star hotel!

The whole grounds - main building infrastructure, rooms and wide landscaped areas were wonderfully maintained and very beautiful. The spa-massage treatment service was excellent from begnning to end - highly recommended. The location from country-side to cliff top extraordinary.beautiful. Doormen, reception & Conceirge excellent. Most of the restaurant facilities advertised on the site were closed due to off season. Golf facilities excellent on the day but very spread out ? Driving range in one location - check-in somewhere else - and tee off and trolleys on tee 1 somewhere else. So the result was not such an easy pre-tee off experience for the golfer. Once tee'd off the course was challenging, very nicely laid out and a spectacular tee 9 over the cliffs to the green.
