Sheraton Algarve

I sunbathed and my husband went and played golf most days. We enjoyed mohito cocktails in the evenings. There was work men making noise for a few days near one of the pools and the manager moved us to a private pool area with drinks bar and then sent up a bottle of white and snacks to our room with his apolagies for the inconvience which we thought was a nice touch.

The beach was not as easy to reach as mentioned in the webpage. There was just a couple of restaurants open while we were there and the food could of been nicer, it was fairly basic and was expensive. You need a car in order to go to other restaurants or bars.

The room was large, light and well appointed. The facilities were excellent but,as it is still 'out of season' there was a limited choice of eating places.

This hotel was absolutely super! The staff were amongst the friendliest I'd ever come across and it was beautiful. The facilities of the Golf Suites were the best.

There was a bottle of water on the counter, we assumed was complimentary.It was not in the fridge with the other mini bar.We replaced the water,but was charged 7euro on departure for the water,which probably cost 30cent.We were horrified and it left a very bad taste of the hotel on leaving.we did not leave a tip because of it. Price of beer in hotel..half the price outside.Everyone in pub outside.

Well organised...prompt attention to queries/requests. Very helpful staff. Great range of activities/facilities on the site itself.

Bar/ Food prices were quite high on the site...equally good food/ drink avalable at c 70% of prices within 1km of site.

Great breakfast, beautiful room and hotel, gardens and pool area lovely. Access to beach and beach bar. Excellent service from all staff.

Lift to beach did not work for the 4 days we were there. Not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. Food at beach bar could be better, but made up for it as location is beautiful. TV in room caused us many problems. Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in room. Ordered room service for 2 cups of coffee at night and it cost 15 euros. Ouch!

Wonderful location in a magnificent and luxury area of Portugal. Nice golf court of 9 holes

Hotel very busy since the beginning of July. Long queue for the restaurants (breakfast and dinner). Very small space between sunbed at the beach

It was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly.

I don't believe it lives up to 5 stars, compared to ther 5star chains, e.g. Kempinski's are far superior. The rooms are old and drastically need renovating.

El emplazamiento del hotel enmedio de una vegetación muy frondosa, con pinos muy cuidados y un cesped que cubre todo el espacio. El descanso en esas praderas es muy relajante y desde su altura se puede contemplar la impresionante orografía que limita el mar. La playa está limpia, es espaciosa y dispone de un "chiringuito" confortable y bien servido.

Tal vez porque el hotel realiza promociones para familias con niños, éstos eran demasiado numerosos, por lo tanto no lo recomiendo a parejas que buscan la tranquilidad. La cocina de los restaurantes no parece muy exquisita para un cinco estrellas. Lo peor, es complicado llegar en coche, falta señalización.

Rampas de acesso para cadeiras de bébé, existem muitas escadas incluindo no acesso à praia.

da natureza, jardins envolventes, praia. O golfe pareceu-me atractivo mas com poucos buracos.Não sou praticante.
