Facilities, and location
I booking my reservation for 2 nights and i stay only 1 night and The staff from The hotel say i've to pay for 2 nights. I call booking.com and booking.com send an email to The hotel saying to dont charge me notihing, hotel staff ignore that, and is a Shame.
The confort of the room in general
The temperature of the room was to high, we had to open the window during the night; It's not good value for money has everything is an extra and you even have to pay extra 10€ to use the pool
Service of front staff!!
Restaurant breakfast not so good!! Also cafe barony people smoke allowed even if it's prohibited!!!
I can totally recommend, very good spacious rooms, good bathroom Good wifi, good staff Location was good too
Comfort Design of the hotel in general
Very bad wifi connection Expensive rooms and still have to pay parking Not located in the city center
Technical help very good! Nice Christmas tree!
From Staff to Accommodations, everything was perfect. Location is also great
Location is a little out of town, but its easily accessible. Good facilities and good buffet breakfast.
The quiet surrounding, the large room, comfortable temperature, and the helpful staff.
A lack of certain important things/amenities in the room such as tea/coffee, kettles, shaving kit, cotton buds, toothbrush and toothpaste.
I like the nice and quiet atmosphere, the helpfulness of the staff, and the comfortable bed.
I was very surprised that there were no kettle, cotton buds, cotton, toothbrush with toothpaste and shaving kit. I had expected that a five star hotel would have all these, so I didn't bring my own with me. Also only one bottle of water was given for free while there were always plenty 4-6 in other Starwood hotels I had stayed before. And breakfast was also better in other Statwood hotels elsewhere.
+ excellent breakfast buffet + spacious rooms + good bed and not very noisy
- a bit far outside the city centre (20min by cab or Metro)
It is a bit on the outskirts of town but the metro connection (about 600 meters away) is very good. Bathroom is very nice. Also offer very fast cabled internet connection which is much stabler than the WIFI.
Parking quite expensive when you consider that it is outside the city. Elevators are quite loud. Seems the vibration of the glass elevators is transported through the facade. Not really dramatic but strange.
the architecture of the building, the decor especially of the corridors, the incorporation of the bathroom into the room, the complimentary treats, the quiet, the breakfast
very late check in always. flights from Madrid arrive early morning and both times we stayed at the Sheraton we were asked to wait until 3PM which is the maximum. this is tiresome and awkward for enjoying the city especially when one is only in Oporto for a short time.
The restaurant service and value was exceptional
The wi-fi in the room was not reliable
Very comfortable excellent service gorgeos decor
only stayed the night to make a comment. all I needed was delivered.
The building features some interesting architecture. It's 7 min walking away from the Francos underground station. The restaurant offers a good choice of eating options from pizza to more sophisticated dishes and a good selection of wines by the glass or the bottle. WiFi was straightforward and worked fine.
The safe in the first room didn't work and they couldn't fix it. They had then to produce two sets of card keys before the keys of the second room would work. Once those time wasting issues got resolved, everything else was fine.
everything but the location
The staff is very rude. They gave me a room in a smoking floor against my will. To change that they ask me to pay to upgrade the room. Bad experience
Comfortable Excellent location Clean with good service Staff very friendly
Pool access requires payment
Wi-fi excellent throughout the hotel. Well-equipped Gymnasium. Good breakfast and room service.
A bit distant from historic center.
The hotel itself was excellent, great modern rooms, very clean, the staff was absolutely excellent all around, we had a small issue with our room safe and both time the young lady at the front desk made her way up to our room within 5 mins to fix it. The staff at the restaurant was also excellent even allowing us to still have lunch despite us arriving just 5 minutes prior to closing and at no time rushing us out the door afterwards. If you get one of the rooms/suites on the 10th floor and up you can have breakfast in the private access lounge located on the top floor, highly recommend it as it is much quieter and private than the main restaurant downstairs.
The location is a tiny bit out of the way if you're looking to visit the historic downtown area but it is still just a short taxi ride away and there's always taxi's waiting outside the hotel so to me this isn't necessarily a negative just more of a piece of advice for those reading this for whom location and distance to downtown might be an issue.
room service needs improvement
