The Vilalara Thalassotherapy Centre & Spa covers an area of some 2600 m2.
An extensive range of over 50 treatments are available and there is a range of booths for both wet and dry treatments. Guests can enjoy thalasso therapy treatments, anti-cellulite and anti-tobacco treatments, Osteopathic treatments, hot stone massages, Shiatsu, reflexology, Reiki and so much more.
The hotel offers an activities program for adults which includes yoga, tai chi, fitness classes, tennis and personal training. There are also supervised activities for children aged 5 – 12 years old during peak season.

Food & beverage

The hotel offers 3 restaurants for guests to choose from. The Dietetic Restaurant is a stunning low-calorie restaurant offering a ‘healthy-living’ menu. The restaurant offers guests gourmet 400 calorie meals consisting of starter, main course and dessert.
The Gastronomic Restaurant is open for buffet breakfast and an à la carte lunch and dinner menu. Emphasis is on ‘designer cuisine with a French influence.’
The Grill Restaurant is located next to the Gaivotas pool and has fabulous panoramic views over the Atlantic. Portuguese specialities are on the menu here.

Area information

The historical towns of Silves, Lagos and Almancil are all within a 30km radius of the hotel and are worth a visit for their castles, churches and museums.
The quaint little village of Monchique is within walking distance of Vilalara Thalassa Resort.
Guests can also visit local water parks, the Zoomarine oceanographic theme park and arrange boat trips or dolphin spotting excursions.

Travel information

- From Faro International Airport, proceed out of the airport for 2,5 km and then follow the signs A22/IP1 direction Portimão/Lisbon. On the A22 follow the signs Portimão, continue until exit 7 Alcantarilha.
In the roundabout please follow the signs to Lagos Portimão Lagoa, In N125 road, after about 6km, turn on your left side to Porches Village. Please follow the signs to Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara.

- From Lisbon please drive over one of the bridges in direction Algarve. Drive A2 until the end and change to A22 direction Portimão. Continue in A22 until exit 7 Alcantarilha. In the roundabout please follow the signs to Lagos Portimão Lagoa. In N125 road after app. 6km, turn on your left side to Porches Village. Please follow the signs to Sofitel Thalassa Vilalara.
