Perfect location close to beautiful beaches. A perfect hotel for budget traveling and for people who don´t mind a 15 minutes walk into town. Rooms were basic, but new, clean and comfortable! |

For 28 golfers the location right next to the Praia Dona Ana beach was perfect just 100 yards from the hotel door. There is a very nice cafe/bar on the side of the cliff with veiws over the beach (we did spend a lot of time in there). The town is a 15 walk away with a few step hills to climb on the way there and back, but a taxi from the town is under 4euro'S. The rooms are clean the water is hot and there was a maid service everyday so lots of clean towels. For young people without familys this hotel is perfect, cheap, clean and in a good location right next to the beach and close to town. The rooms are basic and fairly small, the rooms on the front have been renovated but the rooms on the back have not been done yet, the bar is fairly dark and did not open during the day. Breakfast is not all that but for the price just walk down to the cafe on the beach and have a full english for 6euro'S. |

Friendly and helpful staff; close to the beautiful D. Ana beach; just a 30-minute walk to the centre of Lagos Nowhere to place things or hang towels in the bathroom; TV was attached almost to the ceiling - very inconvenient so watch it; breakfast was absolutely the same every day, they should consider at least a minor diversity |

The location for Dona Ana beach is ideal and some of the improvements the management have made are good. The staff on reception were lovely and were really helpful and resolved any problems we had straight away. Even with the faults though we weren't put off and would stay again. The hotel bar is poor and the service inadequate. The barman does not promote the services in any way and happy hour was not very happy!! He had no change, no ice and not much in the line of delivering what the customers want - good service. Overall the bar was not used by the residents during our stay and those we spoke to felt the same as us. The hotel was very clean and the rooms that have been improved seemed good. However, on our arrival we were allocated a room where the patio door didn't lock. The next room we were given was appalling - old and tired and we refused to stay in that one - we stuck to our guns and was given a better room which was better. The pool was freezing cold and the outside bar was closed. |

helpful staff on reception, but also very good value for money given the location above Dona Ana beach. Swimming pool also good as an area for us to congregate in the morning. |

Nice, modern hotel situated near the smal, beautiful beach Praia don Anna. It is only 10 min walk to the city center. Carvi has a swimingpool and gim. It is very nice viev from a huge balcony. AC works excelent and silently what is very important in a hot days. Breakfast very poor (ham, chease, jam, scrambled eggs and rolls). No vegetables and fruits. But mayby it is typical breakfast in the Portugal. Not enough pleace in a dining room. People had to wait for free pleace. |

Nice and clean rooms, ours had a great seaview and a large balkony. The bed in our room was comfy and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was ok. The swimmingpool was clean and nice, good view from the pool as well. Close to beautiful beach and fine restaurants. The staff did everything they were suppost to do...and nothing more. Vi felt like they were irritated when asked for info about the area or restaurants they could recommend. |

Very close to very good beaches (D. Ana 1 min and Camilo maybe 10 min), and near Lagos, a very nice city to walk around, eat out, etc.. Quiet hotel and area. Friendly and helpful staff. Not really very important points but: Breakfast was ok but exactly the same everyday, no fresh fruits/vegetables; Room got hot in the evening - air conditioning was there but turned off, only air circulation possible; a little difficult to park during the day because of all the people driving there for the beach. |

The loacation is excellent, close to the beach and only 10min walk to the city. The first night we got an unrenovated room, it was really rundown. But since it had seaview if you leaned out from the balcony it was full price... If there's a problem and the staff knows about it, they won't let you know untill you find out yourselves. E.g no remote, no towels, noone working in the bars, out of stuff on the breakfast... This could have been an excellent hotel if only the management had been changed. |

location perfect close to beach, nice walk in to town, nice terrace in some rooms!! they have diffrent standard on the rooms, and they charge the same price for all rooms renovated or not, when we arrived (had a reservation with sea wiev and a/c) they gave us a room with out sea wiew and without a/c, and they did not say anything, we found out when we came to the room. back at the reception they told us they where fullybooked etc etc,,, after long argument they promised us to change room the next day, and we did. Why didn´t they inform us at checkin about the room issue? And we had a long argument about what we should pay for that first night.the next day we did not have any towels, we called reception and the said they were all out of towels. The bar was closed 1 night, pool cafe cloosed 2 days, due lack of staf/illness |

The hotel is very close to a nice beach Just the poor quality in general, poor pool, poor rooms, poor service people, poor breakfast,,, all is poor...The staff is not friendly, we had a problem with our room because we couldn´t locked the terrace´s door, wich was very accesible from the street. When we tried to change the room they told us that we could wait until the next day to get another room (and if that night someone broke into our room, they wouldn´t be responsible for anything, of course) or go to a room with NO AIR CONDITIONER!! They were not empathetic at all, the door was broken since a long time ago but they haven´t fixed it yet. The rooms and bathrooms were very old, the breakfast was very poor and in general they didn´t treat us well. I wouldn´t recomend this hotel |

Unfortunately, there was a problem with our room and as the hotel was heavily booked, the alternative room had a problem as well. The hotel staff and management were very apologetic, and in the end no charge for the room was made. The alternative room we were given did have a beautiful sea view and was a suite instead of a standard room. Given the difficult situation I think the staff managed it as well as could be expected. I do wonder if there are some maintenance issues at the hotel that need to be addressed, with a view to a long term solution versus a quick fix for now. |

Breakfast was very good and services (cleaning) and reception services. Very good hotel for accomodation (that's what you need on holidays). Very close to beach. If I have to go again to Lagos I choose this hotel. Just safety-box to pay extra 2 EUR per day, but it's a standard everywhere. There was so far away to the Lagos centre (about 20 mins walk) where you can eat a dinner or buy something. |

Bare bones hotel. Biggest asset is its location - at the beach with a fabulous view. Rooftop pool with fantastic view. Just about everything. Uncomfortable, tiny rooms with no amenities or conveniences. No place to put soap in the shower or hang a towel, tiny bathroom, no hair dryer, shampoo in packets, no place for luggage, can't move around the room, thin walls and doors, noisy hallways, screaming ill-behaved kids at the pool, and many inconsiderate rude guests. Television was bolted to the ceiling so we had to lie on our backs and look up to watch tv. Breakfast was horrible - nothing to eat (and we stayed at many hotels all over Portugal - this was the worst, and the pits). A true over-priced tourist trap at the beach. |

wonderful location by lovely beach - 15 minutes walk into town, which was no problem. Rooms slightly spartan (tile floors, no comfortable chairs, though patio furniture on big balcony) - nice rooftop pool. Highly recommend! |

Ancora Park has a peaceful location near the beach, the historic sites of Lagos, and many other fine attractions. All the well-equipped villas have a terrace and a kitchenette. |
